I FLOVE that they got into the Halloween spirit (but of course they're Gorillaz, its only appropriate! :D)-they look SOOOO great! Does anyone know if they did 'Dracula' for this show-it would have been perfect! :D

First off, WELCOME BB!!!!!! :heart: Trust me, we will make you feel right at home!;)

 

And I do feel you! I don't know if you read my concert story-Damon and I were in touching distance but he got pulled away before my facetime could become reality-there were lots of negative issues that night-none his fault-they had a time limit, and you could tell the poor guy was going to keel over from exhaustion-I think he went beyond the call of duty to be honest. But I think the biggest negative energy was that of the eBayers-I honestly think Smoggy caught onto them and told everyone Damon had to go. And there were quite a few in PHX sadly. But Jamie turned out to be my prince that night-he was so giving and sweet, such a fun guy AND a gentleman! What made it even more special was no-one knew he was there, he was rumored to have been in London, so it was really awesome.

 

I guess you can say that I'm a Damon girl with SEVERE Jamie issues now! :lol: But you know what-I think we should all say NEVER SAY NEVER-especially if Damon does more music, and with his newfound love of America (especially if its a Gorillaz cd) I think we'll be seeing him again! :heart:

Well already like 5 ppl were in front of me lol. So I would go as early as possible. I had my friend meet me there later as she didn't want to stand out there that long in the cold London rain lol.

So if you have to have your friend come later. But I would get there as early as possible maybe do some snooping around. I mean hey looking crazy for one day is worth it if you get front row and possibly get to meet someone.

 

And I'm not sure how your venue is going to be set up, guessing they won't be having their buses with them in Ireland :lol: so I would just try to find out where they come out at and wait. Also don't listen to people if they say they've already left, the rude roadies kept telling us they left right after the show and they didn't. Thanks Lizzy! Yeh, I've kinda suggested we be there at 4... but that time might get inched back tentatively as it gets nearer! I might do that - go myself earlier. I think we're travelling seperately to get there, so that might work out. I feel really selfish and a bit of a control-freak about this - 'cause I don't want to bore her to tears, but at the same time, this is about the only thing I really have to look forward to at the minute (as pathetic and sad as that sounds!). But fuck it! Who am I kidding! She knows I'm a freak! She'll just hafta suck it up :laugh3:. Oh yeah, totally! I'm not gonna take their word for it.

 

Shit, I never thought about that about the buses. Fuck. It's gonna be really hard to tell which door they'll come out of. Yeah thats the one thing I do have issues with is when my friends put up pics of me that are not in my best light, and I don't have any control over it. That stuff I'm definitely not thrilled with. :\

Thats why I tell ya when/if we hear of Damon doing a tour with one of his musical outfits we are doing a meetup and making a vacation out of it. Also, if for some reason, Gorillaz decides to come back again for a few more dates (NOT saying they will, just an idea I had!), we are ALL OVER THAT SHIT!!!!!!!

I honestly think it depends on the area they are playing in too-like for me, PHX, although they were quite popular, wasn't a HUGE market for them. My sister and I got there maybe and our and a half before the NERD show started, and it was pretty mellow. But if they are really big in Ireland I definitely would make a day out of it-and tell your buddy it'll be fun dammit! :D Tell her you only live once and this is on your bucket list! ;)

Fortunately in PHX security weren't pulling that BS-of course the guys were moving pretty swiftly as they had to leave by midnight that night, so there wasn't really any time for them to chill out (and, ahem, toke up. :wink3:)

And Damon really is an awesome guy now! He isn't afraid to voice his opinions (which are very educated and enlightening in this day and age, when a lot of us NEED to be brought back to reality) and doesn't put up with bullshit-but he doesn't come across as an ass while doing it, but rather a good man with a truly good heart. And I do love that he is loving America now! :D
