May 12, 201115 yr The new people in the flat/apartment below apparently have a baby. Just woke up at 2.28 because a baby was crying. I am not good at sleeping because when my neighbour gets her newspaper I hear the delivery boy - and also the lift in action. So apparently I have to face a period of bad sleep. And I need 7-8 hours of sleep per night.
May 12, 201115 yr That you shouldn't say "why are you here" to substitute teachers and stuff at school, every time I say that I get strange reactions like I did something wrong. :|
May 12, 201115 yr Author That you shouldn't say "why are you here" to substitute teachers and stuff at school, every time I say that I get strange reactions like I did something wrong. :| Whenever I'm asked that question, or a similar variant, I am forced to respond with "I came here to tell you about the rhythms of the universe...." Today I learned that in some places when you change your name you can both take completely new last names of your choice, instead of taking your partners name or both keeping your name the same.
May 12, 201115 yr and then someone told me i should say something like "hi, how are you? what brings you here?" but i don't want to know how they are, i want to know why they're there. :|
May 12, 201115 yr Well, I'm very blunt and monotonous and I think manners are pointless so yeah. I'm basically socially retarded even after spending my elementary school life in social skill groups. Do I win?
May 12, 201115 yr Author Haha, manners are not pointless to others, which is the main thing behind it. And no, you do not win, but you do not lose.
May 12, 201115 yr BUT THEY'RE SO STUPID like "you're welcome". why on earth does that matter? and i've gotten in trouble for not saying thank you when i was handed out things or a teacher did something for me i didn't even want them to, and for not saying hello back to someone because they're already aware of my presence, and all kinds of things :|
May 12, 201115 yr Author Some are pointless indeed, but the pointlessness is what makes it a better gesture, providing they appear at least a little genuine and don't seem sarcastic. I do see your point though.
May 12, 201115 yr there's a really high chance i might have a fulltime job in a few weeks or month or so
May 12, 201115 yr apparently everything i say sounds insincere, even when it is sincere haha many people think i'm a horrible person, they're obviously stupid and completely illogical :|
May 12, 201115 yr Author there's a really high chance i might have a fulltime job in a few weeks or month or so Nice one!! I hope that happens. apparently everything i say sounds insincere, even when it is sincere haha many people think i'm a horrible person, they're obviously stupid and completely illogical :| There are a lot of stupid and illogical people around, never mind that those kind of people tend to cling on to first impressions far too much and don't respond well to people who are in any way different. This is why school is hard.
May 12, 201115 yr and that is why i had no friends until grade 8 and was ridiculously bullied :wacky:
May 12, 201115 yr Author You got a lot ahead of ya kid so don't you worry. I said that in an American accent. I can't tell you what dialect.
May 13, 201115 yr ^ I have a feeling that is some sort of famous quote that I should know, but I don't Today I have learned that Thor+3D+IMAX = funfunfun
May 13, 201115 yr A company run by perfectionists may produce a product, but it may take a decade before item 1 rolls off the assembly line!:laugh3:
May 13, 201115 yr that I get higher grades from terror/bitchy/strict professors than those lenient, nicer ones.
