I ALMOST RAN OVER A DEER!!!!!:o

IT WAS CRAZY!

AND IT JUST LOOKED AT ME!

I thought this only happens in movies! :bigcry: It was big and beautiful. My heart is still racing really fast! :dizzy2: I got out of the truck and then back into the truck and it just kept on looking at me.. and then I got off the truck again and ran towards it and it backed off and then I stop and then it just slowly walked to the other end:stunned:

IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!! :bigcry:

and then I parked my truck to the side of the road and got out again and stalked it...It then went into the woods....& I followed it but it disappeared! :(

sorry for the thread.. I'm just still amazed. Ever had anything cool like this happen to you before?!

Whoa! Did it just stop in the middle of the road then? Glad you're okay.

About a month ago I saw a deer crossing the road while I was driving, but there were a couple cars between me and the deer so I didn't come close to hitting it. The other cars didn't hit it either.

My dad ran into a deer a few years ago actually, but he was alright.

It died, and it was on the side of the road (a busy street btw) for quite a while.

I also remember a time when I was about 7, my dad told me to put on my seat belt and while I was doing that, a deer crossed RIGHT in front of us. But I didn't see it. :( I didn't even believe my dad when he told me! It was actually on the same road that my dad hit a deer a few years ago, weirdly enough.

This actually happens all the time around where live, with deer especially.

A few times we've come close to running into a fox or fishercat also, but you get the idea...

Maybe it was the same deer.

It was really dark and I wasn't really paying attention 'cause there was some mess going on in the next seat (my cake felt down!) and the only reason why I kinda slowed down was because a curve was coming & that's why I didn't see it (but I was still going fast. I've been a reckless driver lately:( :embarrassed:) & I slammed on my brakes & it got scared & got off the road but then it walked towards the middle again and that's when I got off :dizzy2:

In australia it happens all the time with kangaroos.

omg! you are kidding! I love kangaroos! I probably wouldn't have gotten out if it was a kangaroo. Actually, I shouldn't have gotten out in the first place as I could have been ran over instead:thinking:

oh no! :( wonder why it would hang around a busy street:thinking:

Is that still happening? I stayed in Sydney for two years and had never bumped into one on the street..

Anyway, over here it's always either cows, goats, cats or monkeys. And sometimes wild boar.

I'm glad you're safe.

But be careful next time!

The street has a forest alongside it, which is probably where it came from.

I know, I was so upset that I missed it. :(

monkeys??????? okay I def. wouldn't have never gotten out if it was a monkey! or a wild board!

Did I ever tell you guys that I once got chased by a puppy down the street while I driving?? haha it was rather cute! My brother was with me that day and I slowed down 'cause I didn't wanted to run over it as it went down the vehicle & it wouldn't get out! So when I opened the door....it was right underneath my door! It wanted to get in! It was really cute.. I had to get my brother to get off and chase after him so that it would leave hehehe :nice:

I'm usually a really cautious driver  but I don't know what is going on.. I've been speeding:embarrassed:

oh I see.. that would make sense. I love seeing animals randomly.. :nice:

Last summer I ran over a raccoon. I felt terrible about it. I was going down this road, that's somewhat narrow in the sense there are bushes along the sides. And as I was driving the raccoon ran out and there was no way for me to do anything. I reacted but it was too late.

I'm still a really safe driver, haven't gotten a ticket and don't speed.

I know how you feel, Mike.

I ran over some small animal a few months ago, I'm pretty sure it was a cat.

It was really dark, I was driving fast and it ran right in front of me, I couldn't avoid it.

And it was on THAT SAME ROAD. :freak:

monkeys??????? okay I def. wouldn't have never gotten out if it was a monkey! or a wild board!

Yeah the animals are quite scary actually especially wild boar because they sometimes appear out of no where even when people are walking.

If you're not careful they'd just suddenly start chasing you.

Uh. I've been chased by dogs a lot of times before. Angry dogs to be precise cause the dogs are the watch dogs for the houses in my housing area.

These people are idiots that don't chain those dogs and they couldn't even be bothered to keep them inside their house so their dogs just ended up chasing anyone who walk past the house.

Well I live out in the bush in a country town see so I happens pretty often. Possums and rabbits are also regular casualities.

Wild BOARD appeared!

Oh yeah possums, ibis, ducks and rabbits are everywhere! Adorable.

My mom bought me a McFlurry because I was so upset. :awesome:

Not that big. About dog size I beleive. It doesn't happen a lot with foxes but once in a while there will be one in our yard in the road, so its pretty cool.

Yeah, we have a bunch of animal families around our house. It's cool because in the winter, the tracks are all over the place. :wacky:

In Hellerup, north of Copenhagen (*cough*frengers*cough*) there is this big road that goes through the forest and a lot of deer get hit there
