JGL is awesome

I loved him in 500 Days of Summer

He's also rumored to be the riddler too

The Dark Knight was excellent and the 3rd installment is gonna be just as good if not better!

I'll have to disagree.

They're going with shit Batman enemies cos Ledger died, otherwise they would've gone with some sort of continuation, which IMO was better than introducing Riddler and Batman's pathetic sidekick.

The Joker is certainly the most famous of Batman's arch nemesis, but definitely not the only one.

i don't think Nolan's Batman franchise is going to take a nosedive just because Ledger's no longer available to play The Joker. The Riddler is actually quite an interesting foe, if done right (i.e. no bloody Jim Carrey OTT campy shite pls!)...& Nolan doesn't want to have Mr Freeze or The Penguin in his Batman movies anyway. so unless we're starting to look at minor baddies, there aren't many options left. + he wants to stop at 3 Batman movies...having a different foe in each movie's more interesting than having 2/3 revolve around The Joker.

anyway it's been going around for ages that Nolan likes the idea of having The Riddler onboard if possible...it's just a matter of whether it would happen & if it did, who'd play him. before the current rumour that Joseph Gordon-Lewitt might get the role, there were also rumours that either Philip Seymour Hoffman or David Tennant would get it. & The Riddler is one who loves puzzles...i'd think that Nolan's the best person to bring The Riddler's mind games to life since Nolan is clearly one who likes puzzles & mind games too ('Inception', 'The Prestige', 'Insomnia', 'Memento').

He could've used Scarecrow way better than he did tbf, that character is supposed to be scary as hell, but he did more for Ra's al Ghul, and tbh, the movie was a bit meh IMO. The Dark Knight was precious, he used the Joker well, made it dark, suspenseful and you didn't know what to expect.

It's gonna be hard for Nolan to top the second movie. That's my opinion. The Riddler isn't just as big as the Joker.

Also because of all the Batman enemies, the Joker is the one who was more related to Batman in several ways.

I liked The Dark Knight a lot but also believe that if it werent for Heath's performance that film would have been average! I fear not though seeing as Chris Nolan is doing the films! I pretty much love this guys films! Everything he touches turns to gold!

Seriously?

It's kinda odd, if that's the word. Heath Ledger and JGL acted together a long time ago. And JGL sort of disappeared much from the whole movie world when Heath Ledger was at the peak of his acting career, or at least JGL isn't as famous as he is now. And after Heath Ledger's death, JGL sort of rise to fame more than before.

And here is Christopher Nolan working with JGL after he worked with Heath Ledger. Seems like 10 Things I Hate About You had good actors that were gonna make it big.

Just saying.

He could've used Scarecrow way better than he did tbf, that character is supposed to be scary as hell, but he did more for Ra's al Ghul, and tbh, the movie was a bit meh IMO. The Dark Knight was precious, he used the Joker well, made it dark, suspenseful and you didn't know what to expect.

depending on what the Nolan brothers are up to as a trilogy closer, The Riddler might just be a suitable foe, imo...since they've used 'The Long Halloween' as on of the key story inspiration for the other 2 movies so far.

but yeah, expectations will be really high for the last Batman movie...especially with both 'The Dark Knight' & 'Inception' turning out to be masterpieces.

I Have Finally Been to See it. It was One of the Most Amazing Films I Think I've Ever Seen. I Need The DVD :D

I might consider buying a Blu Ray player just for Inception LOL

The Prestige was so good! :cheesy:

As amazing as Ledger was as The Joker, I think that even if he was still alive he would not be in the 3rd movie. If Nolan only wants 3 movies (which I think is a good idea, tbh), then the last one should have a strong, new villain. I'm hoping for either Riddler or a completely new and original villain. :nice:

i heard rumors of poison ivy being in it!

of course i dont know how true these rumors are.

as long as nolan is doing the film, you know it's gonna be good

we dont have to worry about bay's senseless action or m night's crazy twist

I watched again a couple days ago, and I payed much closer attention so I was able to understand what was happening. It's sooo good. :bomb:

The only thing I don't really understand is why Leo and Ellen Page had to go on to a 4th level after Fischer was killed. O_o How did they know he would be there?

Also, the movie would have been so much better if I could understand what Saito was saying the whole time.

  • Author

because mal knew he was with them

what cobb knows then mal knows too

since she found him and shot him in 3rd she had him in the 4th

But she's just a projection, how could she have taken him? And why didn't Fischer go into limbo when he was shot? Unless that was limbo. But it couldn't have been, because the only way Cobb and Ariadne could've gotten there was if they had killed themselves.

  • Author

fischer might not have been totally dead after being shot

he could have been in the state saito was in for most of the film

also remember when cobb mentions in the film that he wanted to go deeper?

he mentions to ariadne constantly that he didnt know how far he would be down there

everything cobb knows then mal knows, projection or not she can ruin the whole idea

its one of the biggest reasons cobb stated to ariadne that he couldnt build the dream at all

The ending, Cobb went into Limbo to find Saito right? Or is it the fourth stage?

By then, Ariadne and Robert is out of the dream already eh?

And another thing that lingers in my mind, how did Cobb and Saito managed to get out of the whole dream? I know Saito must have shot both of them, but how did they manage to get out of every stage of dream?

Saito was old already when Cobb found him, if I'm not mistaken, so the dream must have taken a long time.

saito and cobb got back to reality the same way cobb and mal did via the train death

little did mal realize that the world she was in then was real and ended up killing herself
