I like more of the Parachutes era and everything before (Brothers & Sisters, The Blue Room). In their early years they had a different sound. Don't get me wrong I enjoy all of Coldplay's music but I think that alot of Coldplay's best work is unheard to the mainstream today. Because when you say Coldplay they automatically think "Viva La Vida".

X&Y; I Remember the first times I Heard the hardest Part and Clocks and I Fell in Love.

Because I fell in love with Coldplay in that era. And because I have been to two wonderful Coldplay concerts in that era.

 

But my favourite Coldplay album is still A rush of blood to the Head. So if I had really known Coldplay then (I vaguely remember that I heard and liked Clocks), then I would have picked that era.
