Prostitution!

Featured Replies

I say no to the poll, and about illegal/legal drugs, marijuana is now legal in New Jersey! :cheesy: Only for medical purposes, though. :P

You junkie

Yes, it should be legal. If a person is okay with having random sex with someone, why not make some money off of someone else who is in need of having random sex? Better than doing it for free. People have to pay for most other services (haircuts, oil changes, having someone cook for you, etc.), why is it that paying for the service of sex is deemed illegal? Doesn't make sense to me.

Here there's prostitution and the thing is that... no one cares if it's illegal here.

(you can drive in the wrong way or accelerate on red light and no one tell you something)

EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE IN LEBANON!

It's legal to sell sex here but it's illegal to buy sex  hmmm that makes no sense

Prostitution, like child employment, should be legal.

Sometimes people need money, because their government blew it all on meaningless wars 10,000 miles away.

What really pisses me off is the utter hypocrisy of being paid to perform sexual services in porn being legal, but prostitution being not. LOL GOVERNMENT FAILS.

Lolz it's different because in most cases pron is actually regulated and people do it because they want to. Prostitutes do it because they often have no choice.

How??

Because they would hire a good attorney and convince people that the whores were doing their job but now just want to take advantage of him so they said they were being exploitated. I believe as well that now that prostitution is legal they would only have to worry only about covering trading and not prostitution itself as well. Just think about the explotation at assembly plants, it's legal.

Besides government should be worrying of creating real job opportunities, because this is not a job, as I said you can be a whore without necessarily being ilegal. I'm not against prostitution, but I don't think government should make it legal.

Like all laws, laws against prostitution never have stopped, and never will stop it.

Legalization would make it easier for people to be safe when they're doing it. When it's a shady business, safety is of low concern.

I don't understand why you think making something legal would stop it from being corrupt, it would just mean there would be well run brothels as well as all the abusive slave trade parts.

The very idea of buying and selling sex is pretty disgusting anyway and if that were to be legalized it would pretty much sum up how disgusting human being are.

Yeah but regulations would at least help clean up the well-run brothels, and prostitution, like everyone else said, will never stop.

Fuck I just realized if it were legal women would not be able to discriminate with their clients, yeah it should not be legal. i changed my mind

^hahahaha

I think it should be legal without regulations. Regulations kill everything.

^Except being accepted as an atheist? :P

no one will understand you they'll look at you like if you were an alien or a terrorist even your friends! So I keep saying "yes I'm christain" .

but prostitution should be legal cos if the women or the man is so stupid to do it you can't do something to them, if they're stupid they won't change.

People are free!

It saddens me to see how people seem to only focus on the technical part of the issue forgetting all the ethical part of it! Especially girls, I don't want to sound all feminist but I mean, come on !! I can get your point, like legalizing it will help control it and all but I honestly don't think that'll ever work. All that will do is make this practice look ok, like it's something normal to do when it's not ! It's definitely not, you just don't sell sex like you sell bread! To me law should be all about justice and human rights protection so how could it allow something like that? I know this sort of ideal is sometimes far from reality but that doesn't mean we should make things even worse by legalizing prostitution.

And the fact that this is the oldest profession in the world doesn't change a thing if you ask me. No matter how old it is, it's still the most degrading thing a person could do to her/himself.

 I don't want to sound harsh but people who think this way are so depressing that I don't know what to say. Like this is freedom... LOL

Same thing for people who are like "if they want to do it, I don't see where the problem is" : pffff that's bullshit, nobody wants to do that. And even if some protitutes claim that they "enjoy" this "job" I think they don't, they are just fooling themselves.

The regulations in all fairness WOULD be what would make women unable to discriminate with clients, so in this case, gotta agree with you; if it is legal it should not be regulated (at least in that aspect)

I know they don't want it but if it's for money they can do something else the stupidity is to choose that option. There's always another way something else they can do, but what I find stupid is people that want to do it without being "obligated".

Nobody WANTS to do their job. It's work.

The fact that you prefer the idea of working at McDonalds to working as a prostitute doesn't mean everyone feels the same way.

Same is true with child labor. Just because most children would prefer to remain idle doesn't mean they ALL prefer to remain idle. Some children MUST work in order to bring enough income for their families to survive. You cannot legislate away scarcity.

Kind of surprised at how many people voted no. :\

I made it somewhat closer :wink3:

Well obviously it's not something I would do, for a start I would need a boob job:laugh3:

But I don't see the real problem with doing it, if people are stupid enough to pay you money just to take your clothes off and dance around them for a few minutes, then why not.
