We're having band weeks once a month, and Radiohead Week and U2 Week were put up before Muse Week. It's fair that way.

Oh. :surprised:

This looks like it will be good!

DA MYOOOOOZE!!

This video never fails to make me burst out laughing :laugh3:

Yes, it will. I'm sure the CPing Muse community shall make sure of that. :nice:

I'm actually glad it's spaced out that way. It'll give me plenty of time after my participation in Radiohead Week to really get into Muse hardcore, therefore making my part of the week that much better.

Aw, I've missed alot since i've been away for a week. A Muse week? sounds :awesome: but can someone explain what it's about, I see there's a Radiohead one too, and U2. Sorry, I'm too lazy/tired/jet-lagged to read and find out. :p

Multi-quote time:

If Radiohead is gonna have a second week, and if U2 is getting one, I want Muse to have one, too. Therefore, I am making it so. I want to gather you beautiful Musers and make a week for them, because I know you guys are out there. I'll try my best to make sure it doesn't get in the way of the other weeks going on.

So, is there anyone other than me willing to undertake this? If so, lemme know.

Construction for Muse Week:

Day 1: "Showbiz"-Carla [Maybe?]

Day 2: "Origin of Symmetry"-Marisa (In a telescope lens)

Day 3: "Absolution"-Violet (violetsparks)

Day 4: "Black Holes and Revelations"

Day 5: "The Resistance"-Christina (Showbiz)

Day 6: B-Sides Galore

Day 7: Live DVD/Festivals/Music Day-Alina (coldplay.obsessed)

It'll probably take place sometime in mid-October. If you wish to participate, you can post in this thread or PM me. :)

Well, what happened with Radiohead Week is that for each day, people talked about the albums in-depth and how cool and important it is in the band's discography. You know, basically put the album out there and talk about why it's great as it is. People throw their opinions in, too-favorite track, least favorite track, etc. YouTube clips of songs from the album are also a huge part of it, too.

So I'd basically just start a thread?

Yeah, pretty much. :)

Anna, an artist week is a week we dedicate to a particular artist in music. We talk in-depth about the albums or music or whatever and talk about how it fits in with the discography and how it's an important part of the band. We usually throw in our own opinions (such as favorite tracks, favorite lines, favorite riffs, etc.), and we also throw in some background information and YouTube clips and whatnot. It's pretty fun, from what I hear. Hence, the organization of this thread. :)

We have seven days, which consist of the following discussions:

1. "Showbiz"

2. "Origin of Symmetry"

3. "Absolution"

4. "Black Holes and Revelations"

5. "The Resistance"

6. The B-Sides

7. Live music: DVDs, Festivals, etc.

Days 4 and 6 are still open, for anyone who wants them.

You write about the album, the songs, everything. You throw in some clips and your own interpretation of the album. You can talk about the stuff you like or don't like.

Hopefully, this helps.

I implore people in the future to read through the thread if they have similar questions to how Muse Week will work. If there is something that either needs further explaining or needs answering because I haven't answered it yet, please either ask in this thread or send me a PM, and I'll do my best to answer any questions.

I believe people will better understand how this works when they see Radiohead Week take place.

Ah thanks, could I possibly join in? :wacky: this sounds rather exciting

As I mentioned, BHAR and the B-Sides are still open for the taking. If you'd like one of those, I can sign you up for it. :)

  • Author

Absolutely. :D I'll edit it into the first post.

EDIT: Mkay, it's done. :)

Thanks alot! :D It was hard to pick out of that and the B-sides though, I have to say...

Oh, yeah, I understand what you mean. I had trouble between the B-Sides and "Absolution" when I was deciding. I finally decided on the latter because I realized that B-Sides Day would be Saturday, and given my marching band commitments, I would probably not be able to do that.

I'll let you know if I can't do Day 5 because of my schedule, which I haven't gotten yet. When I do, I'll tell you.

  • Author

Well, it also depends on what week of October I schedule it for. I haven't decided yet. At any rate, please feel free to let me know if something may hinder your participation.

ANNOUNCEMENT

As some of the Loungers have noticed, a new thread has sprouted concerning album listening parties. (Credit goes to Mike for that idea.) Anyway, Daniel (harrisonrules) and I are in the midst of planning an "Absolution" listening party some time tomorrow, so I figured you guys would like to know. Look out for details in the Listening Party thread. :D

is there any day left? :shy:

  • Author

Yes, the B-Side day is still open. You want it?

ermm :uhoh: I don't listen the b-sides that much
