Congratulations to EMI Music artists nominated for MTV VMA Awards, announced today. Katy Perry, 30 Seconds to Mars, David Guetta, Gorillaz and Coldplay were among this year’s nominees.

 

 

The MTV VMAs will air live from L.A.’s Nokia Theatre on Sunday, Sept. 12 in the US. MTV will performers, presenters and host as the big night approaches.

Chances are that the video just barely missed the nomination period last year.

They never win anything. :lol: It's sad in a funny way.

At least if they lose it's not to some crappy band Like Green Day (like last time :P)

I wouldn't say their chances of winning is as terrible as it normally is on MTV, given how it's not a fan-voting category, nor is it plagued with the likes of Gaga and company. But at the same time, there's no shame in losing to Gorillaz or even Black Keys. At this point, the fact that they're nominated at all should be a welcome surprise.

Reagrdless of whether they win, it's nice to see them in the nominations :D

Gorillaz's Stylo video is fantastic. How metaphoric that video is to other tracks on the album and the boogeyman engulfing the policeman, that's really well done.

 

And The Black Keys' video, that video is really good too. Cool concept.

 

Coldplay is up for some real tough competition.

I Hope they do win I Love the Strawberry Swing Video it's so imaginative.

I Agree if they do lose it won't be so bad because it's not just against the same old pop artists.

although it is rather late seen as it was released last September.

I've never bothered about MTV awards.
