August 16, 201015 yr MGMT's okay. I haven't listened to them that much tho. :uhoh: Well hes right up there with John Lennon so John is Jesus and Thom is God. X}
August 16, 201015 yr my family don't care about music really :disappointed: well, at least they buy me concert tickets and cd's sometimes so I'm ok with that :P
August 16, 201015 yr Was he really? I totally didn't know that. I will never view that song in the same way again. :lol:
August 16, 201015 yr You clearly have a serious memory problem, as I have stated on countless occasions that your twisted "opinions" mean nothing to me whatsoever as I have no respect for anything you have to say (on a personal basis, at least). Therefore I merely referred to the one comment that was sort of "on topic", which is where the thread should have remained in the first place.;) For the record I really do care about what you think about me. Because if you liked me then I would re-evaluate my life and what I am.
August 16, 201015 yr When they recorded Planet Telex, Thom actually was drunk, and lying on the floor. :nice: :heart:
August 16, 201015 yr Well hes right up there with John Lennon so John is Jesus and Thom is God. John is my least favorite Beatle :uhoh:
August 16, 201015 yr My parents already told me they hate MGMT, Coldplay, radiohead, some of Muse, and The Killers. D: The only bands/singers they like are Mew and Metric. Oh and Crossfire
August 16, 201015 yr To the OP: You probably just did a poor job of introducing your friend to Radiohead. Liking Radiohead is a very gradual process. It's like trying LSD for the first time. You have to mentally prepare yourself for it before you just dive into the deep end, or else you'll have a bad trip. I never just hand someone an album and say HEY LISTEN. Radiohead is way too complex for that. You have to prepare yourself.

August 16, 201015 yr Actually, Christina... I don't like MGMT, either. :uhoh: That's fine. :P I'm accepting of people with different musical tastes, unlike others. :nice: When they recorded Planet Telex, Thom actually was drunk, and lying on the floor. :nice: I guess I can't say anything, Muse were pretty fucking high on mushrooms when they were writing OoS. :disappointed: MGMT's okay. I haven't listened to them that much tho. :uhoh: X} I really like Siberian Breaks. :wacky: That's only funny because my dad is convinced my grandparents adopted him, he's so different from them. :facepalm:
August 16, 201015 yr :lol: that's an interesting way of looking at introducing Radiohead but I do agree... they are the kind of band that you have to introduce gradually, being they are a band you need time to get into. I'd probably recommend their most known/pop songs first (High & Dry, Karma Police, Creep, House of Cards, There There, No Surprises)
August 16, 201015 yr well KID A is like an acid trip So maybe that's what the "A" stood for!:stunned:
August 16, 201015 yr That's fine. :P I'm accepting of people with different musical tastes, unlike others. :nice: It's nothing personal about MGMT. In fact, if it weren't for the vocals, I think I might like them. "Electric Feel" has a catchy beat, but when they start singing, to me, it's like, "Uhhhhh." :shrug: I guess I can't say anything, Muse were pretty fucking high on mushrooms when they were writing OoS. :disappointed: "Plug in Baby," anyone? :laugh4:
August 16, 201015 yr Author ^those are my favourite songs :lol: Animal Collective is like an acid trip. Ok you got 2 albums to get you high

I only started listening to them because I like the synthesizer part in Kids. :P MY PLUG IN BAABBAYYYYYY IN UNBROKEN VIRGIN REALITIES IS TIIIREDDD OF LIVIIIIIIINNNNNNN!!! WOOOAHHHHH!!! :guitarist: :singer: :wacky:
