Sometimes I wonder if will16 is Shane.

Who is shane??

NVM.

Ok I see inside joke.

Mark, why can't you just stop? We all expressed our opinion of OK Computer and then dropped it, why can't you?

If you check back, it was someone else that made it personal (as usual). Calling Radiohead's music "depressing" is a perfectly legitimate opinion.;)

Why cant any thread stay relevant to the subject?

Because some people just want to turn everything into a fight all the time.:dozey:

Can we just stop arguing??

As with any thread, there's no reason this couldn't have stayed on topic.;)

...OK, did he just call me out? Honestly?

Genius! :laugh3: Thank you Lore, it's so true!

it was in the first page of google images when I typed Troll :P

I guess people are looking to pick fights

I label them as "likes to fight guy"

Maybe he's a dumb kid like you and he'll grow out of it. Or maybe he just doesn't like it.

Hahaha! Mark disliking Radiohead, this makes sense.

Yup. Check out the two (completely unnecessary) comments above, which should tell you everything you need to know.;)

I never said that was the problem, Mark. I think they can be depressing, too. What made it a problem was that you said you didn't listen to depressing music, when I know very well how much you like Keane and Coldplay, who also have depressing songs. I have no problem with Radiohead or Keane or even Coldplay. I was merely trying to make a point, which you then totally dismissed because I made the mistake of using Coldplay as my main example.

Well that's merely your personal opinion, which I simply don't agree with. It's as simple as that and doesn't need to be taken any further.;)

Well as far as I can see it's merely a simple difference of opinion, so what's the problem?

As far as I can see there wasn't any until the usual people started to try to cause trouble by making personal comments.:dozey:

No ones ever going to win this argument so cut it out whats the point? You guys argue about stupid things and always take everything so seriously. You can't even laugh about yourselves.

I agree man, Coldplay are really exciting, they make me want to dance. Radiohead however, I want to cry every time I hear one of their songs.

You can dance to Coldplay?

You can dance to Coldplay?

I got the distinct impression whoever it was (almost certainly another "alias") was being facetious, which is why I ignored it.:dozey:

Um, you were the one like, "Oh, no, no one's allowed to say bad things about Coldplay because it's a Coldplay forum, blah blah blah." The last time I checked, people have freedom of speech and can say whatever they want. Contrary to what you may think, the Coldplay forum does not have to revolve around Coldplay. This is exactly why we have sub-forums dealing with other topics, so people don't get bored with just being like, "OMG, Coldplay" all the time.

What I was saying was that you were the one sitting here all the time dissing "Lady Gargoyle" (using your term, not mine) and Dizzee Rascal and all the other people you dislike, calling them "crap," and here you are telling people not to do the very thing you do on a regular basis. It doesn't compute.

Oh, and for the record, I didn't take anything personally until you implied that I did. I didn't take anything personally about your comments about depressing music; like I said, I too find Radiohead depressing sometimes. But no. You didn't even bother to ask or anything. You just blindly judged me based on a few comments I typed on an Internet forum. What the hell. Honestly.

haters gonna hate

-insert perfect thing to say here-

I guess people are looking to pick fights

HAHAHA ouch! Likes To Fight Guy, that's one I'll be hearing in my nightmares for some time.

I guess I do like to 'fight' but moreso to debate and argue my points (And you can argue a point without having an argument odd as it sounds) but often there's some incredibly stupid and ignorant assholes that you have to deal with and in Mark's case I get angry. Look at what he's saying now, Coldplay and Keane aren't along the same lines as Radiohead, what. the. fuck.

Anyway, I do start fights because I'm honest, you may disagree that it's ok to do that or not. But Mark intentionally stirs shit up to get everyone arguing with him so he causes a big scene like this, it happens at least a few times a month. If you want an example of how he does it, this post explains one:

http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4103703&postcount=109

But you probably won't read it.

Yeah I'm done with the argument, as it's gotten incredibly ridiculous, if he's claiming Coldplay don't have depressing songs or sound nothing like Radiohead then that's his OUT clause, to anyone with half a brain its a totally stupid thing to say but he doesn't care even if he does sound like a total retard, thats his 'opinion' and he's therefore right, which is the only thing that matters. Fuck morals or having an actual debate, he just wants to be right.

See, that's what I'm saying. I'm not trying to be hateful or have an actual argument, so much as a debate about music in itself, which is something I like to do on occasion because I am a self-professed music nerd. It's why I'm going into music education as a career. I don't want any trouble from anyone. :bigcry:

I wish we had actual debates on here, that would be fun. :wacky:

You clearly got the wrong end of the stick. What I actually said was that, as this is a Coldplay forum, slagging off the band (while not forbidden) is clearly a daft thing to do, whatever your opinion of them is.

Only a total idiot could fail to see it's likely to be regarded as provocation. It would be exactly the same if a non-Radiohead fan registered on atease and started dissing them on there.

It isn't rocket science.:dozey:

As I explained, if people want to go around on here calling Coldplay "crap" that's totally up to them, but it would clearly be inadvisable for the reasons stated above.

I have also pointed out on numerous occasions that only Admin (and in some cases mods) can tell people not to post something, but that doesn't seem to stop certain others trying to lay the law down, for some reason.:dozey:

I don't know what you're talking about. As far as I can tell, nobody's actually accused you of anything.
