When is LP8 comin out???

Or maybe they just got tired of it and the success of the song and discontinued it from setlists.

Liam Gallagher said he felt sick everytime the band had to play Wonderwall but both the Gallaghers said that if the majority of the people in the crowd want it then they'll get it because at the end of the day that's what they are there to do to please the crowd and not for their own selfish reasons. I guess that's why Radiohead have and never will be known as a great live band.

*sits back with a whiskey in one hand and waits for Radiohead fan to somehow claim they are the best live act ever*

there has always been a lot of empty and contrived music around. i hate it how people seem to think that music was perfect and wonderful until the 21st century when suddenly all music became shit. there is just as much shit music now as there was 50yrs ago.

Oh well, I actually meant that :P i just used "now" because we were talking about the present tense, did n't we boy? I actually hate for example Rolling Stone and their I wish it was the sixties attitude towards music.

Btw I bet you can't use more radiohead references in a coheren and useful post, bitches.

I like the whiskey part. Well, I believe Radiohead is a great live band, i can't really tell you why because most of their songs when performes live are like album versions.

I like Oasis, but I went to see them live in 2006 and the concert was boring :(

'cause all the Oasis fans who saw them live several times said 2006 wasn't a good year to see them life ....

BUT YOU SAW THEM LIFE !! :o

:wacky:

yeah and they came back in ermm 2008? 2009? the same year they split. But since the first gig was boring I didn't go to the 2nd one :P

they split in 2009 .. :bigcry:

August 28 to be precise

I loathe oasis.

If a band doesn't like to play a song live they shouldn't...

This. If they feel uncomfortable playing a song, that song would n't have the same vibe as desired.

I remember they played it at Leeds last year though cuz I saw it on youtube, it sounded totally different as well. Not bad exactly but... different, and not as good as the rest of their songs.

Also I got the vague impression Thom's voice couldn't handle the "SHEEE'S RUNNNING OUT AGAINNNNNN" screaming at the end anymore.

I'm coming in super late in this thread but OK COMPUTER changed my life and is probably my best album I own and will be for my entire life.

You feel the same way I feel. I was trying to change my friends perspective on music and I thought this was the best way possible to change his whole outlook on things.

Is this the screamo friend? Sometimes people just don't like certain music.

Like I don't like Miley Cyrus.

And I never will.

The first time I heard Subterranean Homesick Alien I was immediately shifted into a whole different level of musical understanding that I will never leave. Most of my friends laugh at me for liking the music I like, it just takes a special ear and an open mind to like certain music.

'cause all the Oasis fans who saw them live several times said 2006 wasn't a good year to see them life ....

Oasis are simply stunning when they want to be and not very good when they can't be bothered. However gigs like Loch Lomand, Knebworth gigs show they are sublime and only U2 have equalled them when they are at their best.

I mean can you complain about this? What other band can do this?

Would you stop going on about how they don't play Creep, nobody even cares. And why are you still comparing Radiohead with Oasis? They couldn't be further from each other.

Oh of course I'll pick Radiohead any day, I can listen to them in any mood or situation and get into it. The thought of laying down and listening to Oasis is sick, it's fine if you're doing other stuff like getting ready or cleaning the house, but it's just formulaic rock songs.

Some people think it's perfect music to have in the background for a small house party or get together before going out, that's still sick.

Massive multi-quote time!

MUSE ROCKBAND FUCK YEAH!!!! :awesome:

Fo' sho', foo'! :awesome:

I dislike The Beatles and Dylan for example, when half of earth's population worships them

My point is that music is completely subjective, therefore, it shouldn't be awe inspiring that a person likes or doesn't like certain artists or albums. Music's purpose is to express something that the artist considers appealing to his own senses, while the receiver must decide by himself whether it's captivating or not according to his own perception.

But music can't be juged as awful or excellent, just different to your taste. The only characterisic music must have is to be a form of expression, no matter how awkward it is. The problem is that now we get a lot of empty and contrived music.

Btw I think that creep is a really good song, but it's just that Radiohead have better.

Well said, Ricardo. Oh, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who dislikes Bob Dylan.

If it came down to Creep vs a b-side..like Talk Show Host or True Love Waits...Radiohead fans, which would you chose??

I really could not care less about Creep. They have dozens of better songs.

The B-side, most definitely. :wacky:

I feel the same way about Muse's "Absolution," for various reasons. I think people will always have that one song, one band, one album that they can always go back to as a reference point for when their musical doors were burst wide open. I actually have several.

Sometimes people just don't like certain music.

Like I don't like Miley Cyrus.

And I never will.

Exactly. :nice:

Liam just said he hates Wonderwall because he loves being a dick.
