Yellow vs. Green Eyes?

Featured Replies

Hey, my friends are having an argument as to which song we think is better, so we came to this forum to get everyone's opinion. Thanks!

Both are collors

Your skin

Oh, yeah, your skin and bones,

Turn into something beautiful,

Do you know, you know I love you so,

You know I love you so.

Jonny you should know,

That I could never go on

Without you

Green eyes, green eyes, ohohoh...

Damn, I think YELLOW just brings back my getting into the Band so long ago, Green Eyes is a tribute to Chris's Forbidden Love,:wink3: but I chose YELLOW:D

I loved Green Eyes, but now it brings me bad memories :( So I say Yellow is better.

I like them both, but I think I like Yellow better

Both are great songs, but I like Green eyes the most :)

Hmm...I think both songs work well because they're simple. On record, I'd cop out and put them at a statistical tie, but Yellow is a certain crowd pleaser live, and the acoustic version of it is beautiful.

Yellow by a hair.

Green eyes! ;)

maybe because it's "forbidden"

i like green eyes but i love yellow

no one cares.

they're both equally good.

Yellow. Mainly because it was the first Coldplay song I heard, so I have a soft spot for it. :nice:

Although, Green Eyes is still great.

It's funny, because for so long I always skipped past Green Eyes and then I finally listened to it one day and it became my favourite song for like a month, same thing happened with Spies.

  • 3 months later...

Violet Hill.

Just kidding. I like Green Eyes best the few times they played it in a full band with Chris on acoustic, Jonny on electric, Will on piano, and Guy on mandolin.

Green eyes.

It reminds me of my best friend.

Yellow.

Really, there's a reason it was Coldplay's first hit. Melodically it's brilliant, and who can argue with that slamming guitar line?

Green Eyes is nice, but yellow takes this one. By a long shot.

****** ! :P
