November 21, 201015 yr I am not related to Reilly. Period. . How can you be totally sure of that without tracing your ancestry?
November 21, 201015 yr How can you be totally sure of that without tracing your ancestry? I can be sure BECAUSE I SAID I AM. And what I say in this post now, goes.
November 21, 201015 yr ^Very true. For example, I'm familiar with "To be sure, to be sure.................." I don't think I've ever heard that one actually used unless in mocking our own culture. One thing people from the North do say (Which cracks up English people) is "That's what happened so it did" or "That's what he said so he did". I made that saying up, dummy. No way! The saying "You are worth 2 pairs of dirty socks" doesn't exist?! I should point out I'm being sarcastic again because you don't have a great radar for sarcasm.
November 21, 201015 yr I can be sure BECAUSE I SAID I AM. And what I say in this post now, goes. So the thought of being related to Reilly doesn't elate you, then?:P

My radar may be smaller than yours, but I just like to act as though I didn't catch that particular remark, so maybe my radar is bigger. :smug:
November 21, 201015 yr I don't think I've ever heard that one actually used unless in mocking our own culture. Well actually, there was an Irish couple on "Million Pound Drop" who actually came out with it in the heat of the moment, and Davina McCall commented on it!
November 21, 201015 yr So the thought of being related to Reilly doesn't elate you, then?:P Nope.
November 21, 201015 yr Well actually, there was an Irish couple on "Million Pound Drop" who actually came out with it in the heat of the moment, and Davina McCall commented on it! Really?! Hahaha. Honestly never heard it actually used, maybe its a deep southern thing, the ELS will know maybe.
November 21, 201015 yr I am not surprised that I am completely and utterly confused as to what yous are talking about.
November 21, 201015 yr I am not surprised that I am completely and utterly confused as to what yous are talking about. Irish people use this phrase "To be sure to be sure" and somehow it sprung up in conversation in typical Mark style, I didn't think we do use it because for people I know that's a very old saying that we mock sometimes. Mark said on a gameshow that an Irish couple actually used it, and now it appears that some Irish people still use this kinda luls and outdated phrase.
November 21, 201015 yr Really?! Hahaha. Honestly never heard it actually used, maybe its a deep southern thing, the ELS will know maybe. Or maybe they just did it deliberately for "entertainment".:P
