December 7, 201015 yr So for those of you who have mentioned childbirth: does that mean you didn't have an epidural? I did. the pain wasn't in childbirth, just the 12 hrs I didn't have the epidural the last 12 & when the baby was coming I didn't feel a thing. he was 9 pounds 9 ounces & I didn't feel it :uhoh: I loooove the epidural :P but labor was the worst :freak: I threw up in the lobby because I couldn't handle the pain. it was really embarrassing.

December 7, 201015 yr I don't think I've ever been in extreme physical pain. Once I almost has mono and felt like shit, but that wasn't painful. I twisted my ankle once? But didn't hurt much?

Specifically, my nose. :| Oh yeah softball, plenty of memories from that here too! I had one similar to yours a couple of years ago, but I was in the batting cage. And of course I wasn't wearing a helmet, although it might not have mattered anyway. I was using the slow-pitch cage, and then for fun to reminisce of my high school days I moved over to the 60mph (~100km/h) cage. Everything was going peachy until one that I hit too close to the (first base) line. Keep in mind a bat left-handed. It hit the pole that was separating the cages, and bounced right back at my face. Since I was following through in my swing, it actually hit me on my left temple/eye socket. :stunned: I had an awful black eye, and had to explain myself at work several times the next day... * really, I promise, my husband doesn't beat me *.

December 7, 201015 yr I got sliced open good and proper (on 3 occasions) at the hospital and had to wear a compression vest for two months each time to try and get the swelling down. Could barely move each time, and once the morphine wears off there is nothing else available anywhere near strong enough. And of course a kick in the balls.
December 7, 201015 yr Last December when I had the lovely combination of Appendicitis, Pneumonia, and swine flu. Yeah.. good times. :(
December 7, 201015 yr oh oh oh I just remembered something once when I was 5 I was walking around the house barefoot and this nail appeared on the ground and it went into my foot i was crying so hard :sad:
December 8, 201015 yr lemme see: when i fell down and fractured 3 ribs i had a flourescent bulb go thru the palm off my hand dislocated my right knee, then popped it back in bullet wound to the head the first time i caught pneumonia

December 8, 201015 yr And of course a kick in the balls. Lolz, for girls it hurts a kick between the legs. A girl did that to me when I was in high school, hurt like hell, also, the kind of shoes she was wearing made it worse.

I really don't understand the moms that say I WANT IT TO BE COMPLETELY NATURAL NO DRUGS FOR ME. I'm like huh? why? you like pain? your baby will be as lovely as it was meant to be. How does being in excruciating pain make it 'more special'?
December 8, 201015 yr There is no coming back from that severe whipping. Incidentally, my most physical pain is paltry compared to what I read here. I think getting a needle in my arm is the worst it's ever been...
