When were the times you were the most in physical pain?

Featured Replies

the time a angry heifer came charging at me butted me over and kept on rolling me down this hill with it's nose into a large patch of nettles then ran off and stamped on my leg . I had huge bruises for ages after that, surprised it never broke my ankle

Holy cow!:stunned:

I broke my arm but I didn't go to a doctor until the next day :uhoh:

poor 5 year old me thinking it was just a bruise or something :blank:

childbirth

This ^ (twice)

- After my tonsillectomy, usually its done when you're a kid but I wasn't allowed cause of my alergies so they did it when I was 17. I was on I.V. for 15days. I couldnt eat, drink nor talk.

- Back when I was 14 I played basketball and on my game I fell and I dislocated my knee. Its still beyond repear (no surgery can fix it) so every time I jump a bit harder or make some strange movement with my left leg my patella goes to the either left or right. Highly painful!

When I was little and I put my finger in the edge of a door. :blank:

And when I broke my arm trying to ice skate.

Or one night when I woke up and I couldn't breathe. :uneasy: Also, migraine last summer.

the 3 times when i had partially broken or extended much any of the arm-back muscles and tendons.

were damn painful, even breathing felt painful for two weeks or more, so imagine writing.

still the arm pains at times as when i'm stressed.

probably when i fell down when trying to be upside down on a wall (dunno whe word in english) and i fell down suddenly hitting on the ground, surely my bones/muscles hurted but i didn't felt any pain. :\

i've been told i'm used to physical pain caused by some illness, so i can't think of any other.

I'm not sure.

Also, I had Osgood-Schlatters for about 5 years from playing soccer. My knees would hurt sooo badly every step I took after running/walking for just a while, and I had a lump under both of my knees that hurt really, really badly if I bumped it against something.

ffffffff this is painful

Still hurts sometimes, actually. Not as bad, though.

When I was little and I put my finger in the edge of a door. :blank:

ouuuuccch yeah I've done that too :disappointed:

I had such a terrible ear infection that I needed codeine to even slightly numb the pain. It felt like someone was stabbing a screwdriver into my ear.

that sound so painful :bigcry:

The nail on my toe is now completely black and I am hating on my shoes and socks :blank:

I hit my toe on my suitcase in London and almost took of the whole nail, it started to bleed at first, but then it only turned purple.

The nail was purple for a while and now fell off completely ... I'm an expert at ruining my toes, I'm too clumsy.

I've never broken a bone, so I don't really know what that feels like.

I remember cutting into my thumb with the bread cutter when I was a child though, it wasn't nice. :blank:

Aww, I hope your toe's fine now!

When I was on a holiday and the plane was landing, my ear started aching terribly and it felt like my whole ear, nose and throat were painful and the middle of my head is pain, it was just terrible. I hate planes.

also the time when my brother tipped the quad bike on it's side and I fell onto a bit of wood with a nail sticking out with my brother on top of me

Three times stick out in my mind:

- Early November 2008 there was this tremendous sharp, deep pain in my chest that seemed to get worse about an hour after eating. It got worse over a period of 3 days, to the point where I just couldn't eat. Felt like an elephant on my chest, kind of like how people describe a heart attack (but I knew it wasn't that, because I would have already been dead at that point). Checked myself into the hospital (on the night of the Coldplay concert, yay), and over the next few days discovered that somehow a significant portion of my stomach squeezed up above my diaphragm. Ugh. Not much I could do other than relax and wait for it to get back to normal. Needless to say I also missed voting in the national election, and taking an actuarial exam.

- Sometime last year I thought I had an aneurysm in my brain, but it turns out I had a pinched nerve in my neck which affected that area in my head. Ouch. (Word of advice: Don't use those contour pillows if you are short; apparently I missed that little warning on the pillow tag.)

- I had a really bad sunburn this summer. Worst ever. The skin on my legs is still a weird texture, that's how bad it was. I had to take several days off work because I couldn't walk (lower legs including ankles and knees were so swollen that I could barely bend my legs). The heat couldn't escape through the skin, so the burn just kept going deeper and deeper into the tissue, it was so bad. I put ice on my legs but the ice would completely melt within 20 minutes, that's how bad it was. A cool damp cloth would be warm within a minute. It was just plain BAD. My mom thought I was being a wimp when I explained it to her, but then when she saw me in person (over a week later), she was like, "Ooohhhhhh. Okay, I guess it IS really bad." :freak: I could post pictures of the peeling skin that I could have used to make a nice lampshade, but I don't want to gross you out.

Reading all your stories makes me feel incredibly lucky :uhoh:

Never had worse pains than cramps (which are already pretty painful), small burns, skin wounds or stuff like that!

:wreck:

Oooooooow.

Last week, when I broke my ankle.. my leg still immobilized!

omg it hurted so much..

Yeah we have a lot of accidents here :p

:bigcry:

right now it feels like the worst pain I had was 3 weeks ago when my back starting aching SO MUCH.

I think I told my mum that it was the worst pain I ever had that one night....so yeah that must be it

:uhoh: reading this thread is painful in itself

mines are:

-when I had appendicitis at 17 (it hurt a lot and I could not even move)

-when I broke my fingers after I fell while rollerskating.

When I was 7 I fell off a Pogo stick and knocked my front teeth out, and almost broke my nose. :wreck: that was the most painful thing!

Another time was when I fell off my trampoline into a rose bush.

I also got a painful black eye from walking into a door.

So for those of you who have mentioned childbirth: does that mean you didn't have an epidural?

Last week, when I broke my ankle.. my leg still immobilized!

omg it hurted so much..

When I broke my ankle playing tennis three-and-a-half years ago, it didn't hurt as much as I would have thought (maybe it was the adrenaline from the sport).

Eye infections can be very painful indeed.

However, most painful for me must have been when I was subjected to Girls Aloud supporting Coldplay at Wembley last year!:P

That was absolute agony!:stunned:
