I'm not putting words in your mouth, I'm just saying that Yorke is a dog, lower than a dog. So you must be comparing Martin to a dog or saying that he is a dog like Yorke. Your the one that wanted to compare them... Whatever, yawn, if you can't understand my analogy then too bad for you. Go back and listen to your Flee Man.

Wow - so much terrible with this post. :laugh3:

So Chris Martin has rewritten the Bends a few times and even took a swing at OK Computer - how well do you all think he'll do rewriting Kid A?

Moron, DON'T FEED THE TROLLS. They aren't even that great at it, quite failsome really, and yet you give them plenty of feedings? Good lord!

lol beavis and butthead

Thom Yorke is a genius.

...but so is Chris Martin.

'Nuff said.

lower than a dog.
That's got to be a sausage dog, that's the lowest dog I can think of. Like a car with lowered springs?

This thread is funny as hell, don't you see my face? :blank:

Title was still okay, then the inside ... full of rubbish

I agree with the :lock:

for chris the acoustic guitar/country-folk and for yorke the synthesizer/electronica-ambient.

chronologically ac/c go first, though yorke is older, but before him as with Martin were other music masters.

who cares?

I heared a Muse song this morning and had a thought about this thread. I like Muse, but Matthew Bellamy definitely sounds MUCH more like Thom Yorke than Chris Martin does.

I agree with the :lock:

Me too

I love Coldplay and Radiohead. I think Yorke is a better songwriter than Chris, but Coldplay is my favorite band anyway.

Threads to show hate are just unnecessary :P

So you get mad at him for calling Chris Martin a dog, then you call Thom Yorke a dog? It's like 4 year old's arguing!!

4 year old 1: YOU'RE STUPID

4 year old 2: OH YEA WELL YOU'RE STUPID

4 year old 2: NUH UH YOU ARE!!!

I like this post. Probably the first time I've ever really liked a post in which someone has said Coldplay is their favorite band. Most of the time it's just ignorant adoration like 'COLDPLAY IS THE BEST OF ALL TIME. NO ONE COMPARES. CHRIS MARTIN'S VOICE IS SO SEXY. RADIOHEAD IS JUST A BUNCH OF UGLY DEPRESSED BASEMENT DWELLERS'

I heared a Muse song this morning and had a thought about this thread. I like Muse, but Matthew Bellamy definitely sounds MUCH more like Thom Yorke than Chris Martin does.

I honestly do not see where people hear Matt Bellamy sounding like Thom Yorke. Compare Showbiz to All I Need, and I don't hear a spec of similarity.

And both bands have talent, I personally think RH has a bit more, but I still like Coldplay better.

:lock:

Ok, another RH vs. Coldplay thread? A bit of Muse?

Where are the mods to lock this thread? Instead they lock my thread, and ban an innocent member.

Coldplay are very good at melody and connecting to audiences. Radiohead are good at pushing things forward and have a gift for melody. Muse are good at entertaining, but they sound like the Transiberian Orchestra. They are terrible!

:embarrassed: sorry. It's just they aren't aesthetically pleasing to me.

Well, I'm really, really not lying there : when my iTunes is playing a Radiohead song I don't already know, as soon as I hear the singing I think "Hey, that's a cool Muse song. What's the name? Oh, really, it's Radiohead?"

Sure, the three of them are good :nice:

Still waiting for the lock to fall...

Nah, it's fine, everyone has different tastes, I just thought that was one odd comparison.

That's odd, I have never once been confused between a RH and a Muse song.

Or, to make it more on topic, a RH and a Coldplay song. When you give each band enough listens, you realize that, yeah, all three are rock, all three have singers that sing in falsetto, but each one is extremely different and have very different, unique styles.

Me too. IBTL for like the tenth time. :lock:

I agree, except Muse do sound a lot like "The Trickster" by Radiohead. I was shocked the first time I heard it.

^^^^^

Agreed on the whole thing....TY's songwriting, CP favorite band anyway, and hatemail uneeded.

Well said.
