And yeah, 60. I'm a chronic over-doer, haha :dozey:

My mixtape partner and I are pretty similar in our tastes I think so it should be fun :awesome:

:blank:

*goes and drags back all the ambient tracks that he deleted because he didn't want to make 'just another ambient tape'*

oh no don't do that just for me :embarrassed:

I just assumed... I had no idea...

I certainly hope my partner likes the same things I do. :uhoh:

Kelsie, in the PM it said that we had to send in our mixtape and tracklisting by April 18th. I thought we just had to send in the mixtape, then reveal the tracklisting when our partner reviews the tape? :uhoh2:

You don't necessarily have to send me the tracklist if you don't want to, it's just good to have in case someone submits a mixtape and never comes back to tell their person what was on it. That's happened before so

I can answer that for you. We always have people that, for some reason or another, cop out at the end of the exchange and never reveal themselves (or their tracklistings) to the person they made their mixtape for. It's customary to send the tracklisting for stuff like this as a precaution, so even if the mixtape maker doesn't reveal themselves, the recipient at least gets to know what was on their tape.

For whoever got me: I'm not very easy to please, 'cause I don't listen to many bands. But I'll try to be as open-minded as possible.

Progressive rock: Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd, ELP and King Crimson.

Classic rock: Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Jimi Hendrix.

Fusion: Mahavishnu Orchestra and Passport (it doesn't matter though, 'cause I bet nobody here ever heard about them :P)

80s: The Police, Sting and. The Smiths

90s: Smash Mouth, Simply Red, The Verve and Oasis.

00s: Coldplay and Young Galaxy.

Please, do not include: Rap in general, Queen, Iron Maiden, Metallica and Kiss. I just can't stand any of those ;)

Okay, thanks for answering Violet and Kelsie. Will do. :awesome:

Oh, and I think I may just want to punch something in the face right now- I lost my basic mixtape list somewhere in school. . . Back to nothing. :bigcry:

Awwwww. It's OK. I myself go through multiple lists of multiple things as I go about making these mixtapes.

oh no don't do that just for me :embarrassed:

I just assumed... I had no idea...

lol, I was sorta kidding. My tracklist has been set for a few days apart from a couple songs that I might change out.

To my stalker: http://www.last.fm/user/Picodran

Making a mixtape for me shouldn't be too hard since I'm quite easy to please. :nice:

I can't decide whether it's a good thing or a bad thing that I have similiar music taste with the person I'm making the tape for. :freak:

Yay, got my partner! And I'm pretty glad about it  but also a bit stressed out...

Anyway, as I always say during mixtape exchanges, I don't have lastfm so I may be hard to stalk. You can only find my previous mixtapes. But, to whoever got me, it's not a big deal at all as I'm really openminded about music and always happy to discover new stuff or just listening to some tracks I already knew. I also love reviewing and I always try to be as honest as I can.

To sum up, put what YOU like, I'm already happy to have a mixtape to review :)

Why do I always get partners who seem so impressive  :D ?

Anyway, to whoever got me, this sums up perfectly my point of view on the mixtape game:

So feel free to put whatever you want in the mixtape as far as it flow well :)

^

Glad it could help :D

Haha Kha I just noticed your sig... Brings me back to some good old memories :wacky:

^ We can still go to the Main Square, it's not too late to book tix :P

And eat some Turkish delights... Make stupid bets... Steal Lenny Kravitz's shoulder (you know who can do that, right!)... And and... Shhh you know I can't :( Don't tempt me, it hurts

But you know someday we'll make Coachella AND Solidays AND The Main Square... The same year... HAHAHA WE'LL RULE THE WORLD!! Mmh sorry, I kinda lost my head during a few seconds :D

My dear mixtape maker, here are some of my favourite artists:

- Eric Whitacre

- Hans Zimmer

- Jeremy Soule

- Sigur Ros

- The Glitch Mob

- Ulrich Schnauss

- One Step From Hell

So, how can I sum up what my favourite genres are... uhh..

as you can see, I really like film/game soundtracks, classical pieces, electro, but I believe I tend to atmospheric/ambient songs! So maybe go in this direction :) Oh and I really don't care for lyrics that much, so feel free to spam me with instrumentals!

Hopefully I don't seem to picky :uhoh:

Hans Zimmer.

He seriously makes some of the best modern movie music. :wacky:

My favorite older movie composer is John Williams though.

Anyways, working on my mixtape now. :wacky:

:cheesy: Cool that you like him, too!

Aww John Williams, yes he is amazing as well

I'm working on my mixtape now. I'm not sure if my partner will like mine though.

The bad part is my mix doesn't really fit into his preferable genres.

But the good part is we have not so many mutually-interest bands, so I can avoid the risk of having songs that he has heard before in my mixtape.

OMG John Williams :dazzled:

btw, whoever has me, I lave a Last, but I only really use it to listen to relaxing study-type music when I'm working so it wouldn't be of much help. Don't worry too much though because I like every genre. Pile it on.
