The 8th Mixtape Exchange (Links in first post)

Featured Replies

How long are everyone's mixes? Mine is 18 songs, and it works out to 1.2 hours according to iTunes.

I hope that's not too long...I could cut some stuff out but I don't want to. :P

It really depends on who you get, some people like long tapes but others find that they become boring and have too many 'filler' tracks. As a general rule of thumb, only put in music that you think the person receiving your tape would enjoy enough, to listen to for the set amount of time.

Done mine

Still not totally satisfied about how it flows though... I'll give it a few listens and maybe make some changes before I upload it in a couple of days.

Hope my partner will like it (not sure about this part though haha :D ) and will not know too many bands I included here...

Can't wait to hear what my mixtaper chose to put in mine :wacky:

Got all the songs there, just have to put them in the right order :)

Mine's done, uploaded, linked. I hope my listener's gonna enjoy it :)

And mine's, like, just over 50 minutes :P

And my god, my mixtape is filled with local bands. Because all the other stuff I like the other person likes too D:

I did all of mine the day before i found out my partner. Turns out my partner is perfect for the songs I chose.

But it's on my old computer so i won't be able to upload it until wednesday!!!!!! :(

Can I make a request for mp3's only tho. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE no iTunes tracks. I'll be listening thru media player and it doesn't recognise the iTunes extension. iTunes pisses me off no end, it's really slow and stupid and switching programs just messes up the flow of the mix

Can I request for this too, pretty please? :botoxlips:

If you give me a .rar I will kill you in the face 7 times.

I compiled mine in a .rar bahahahaha :mean:

I've finally worked out the theme for my mixtape :)

I'm pumped! I found a lot of songs that my partner might like and that I thought they knew already, but that their last.fm proved otherwise and jweirhwepguhthg. My mixtape's gonna be soooo good.

Just to let my partner know, PLEASE no .rar. :bigcry: (If you've already uploaded it as a .rar, don't reupload it but if you haven't then it's much easier for me).

I love .zip

Genuine question though, what do people have against rar?

Exactly. I've been talking to Kelsie about this on MSN though. :freak:

I'm a derp when it comes to computer stuff like opening .rar's. :|

I can at least open a .zip

I haven't uploaded mine yet but now I'm paranoid my partner might not want me to.

I thought google would have stopped people getting so confused haha.
