December 17, 200520 yr I'd do the same thing. Except... I'd follow Jonny, not Chris. Chris has some weirdo guitars.
December 17, 200520 yr  I quite like Chris' guitars, but I've never seen any around that resemble them. I feel really cool playing Daylight with the slide on my Tele. I like to pretend I'm Jonny. Then I realise how weird that is, and I freak myself out. :uhoh:
December 17, 200520 yr Haha, do you roll your head like he does? I do that, and that's just on air guitar. I want one of those copper (or whatever they are) slides. It hurts my fingers so bad trying to do stuff like Fix You.
December 17, 200520 yr nice guitar...i have been looking for some and there kinda expensive.....an_cat, since you know about guitars, what do you recommend learning first? my comp is acting rather wierd today....
December 17, 200520 yr Hmmmm... Well, I've never taken lessons, but I can still play fairly well. I'd definately recommend getting a chord book and learning chords first. I mean, you can sit and play tabs until the cows come home, but you won't really learn anything of value from it. Tabs are good too, though. Because if you work on them for awhile you can build up speed, etc etc (like I taught myself Talk and at first I couldn't do it at ALL, but now I'm pretty good at it). I'd recommend just getting a Guitar for Dummies ( they have those, too!) or some learners book, a chord book (I have a picture chord book, which is very helpful since sometimes the tabs can be hard to read) and maybe a book of Coldplay songs. Sit down and just play. You've got to keep it up, so you can build up calluses, and it won't hurt after awhile. Hope this helps! I love playing the guitar, it's fun and really relaxing.
December 17, 200520 yr It depends on the guitar you're getting. I know that if you want an electric guitar, they have packages that you can get. They come with, for example, a Fender Squier (the "learners" guitar), an amp, the wires you'll need, a learners book and maybe a gig bag. That can be about 200, it depends. I got my first guitar, an Aria acoustic (some cheapo brand) for 100 bucks. My Telecaster was around 650, though... :dizzy: But it's worth every cent that I paid. It really just depends on the brand you want, what type model and where you're getting it. A lot of times you can bargain with the seller and get quite a deal!!
December 17, 200520 yr 200 bucks? i don't know what to do, drums and guitar (both bass and acustic) are the only instruments left there that i want to learn, i already play three instruments. learning acustic is learnin the electrical guitar, right?it's the same ?

I find the acoustic guitar more difficult, though. It was really hard on my fingers for the first couple months, but I've built up calluses now and it doesn't phase me. The electric's got thinner, softer strings and I find that a lot easier. I hardly play my acoustic anymore...
December 17, 200520 yr I have an acoustic guitar (it's green and I named it JB   ) and I'd say that's the best one to learn on because if you have electric, then you can only do electric..actually, mine's a combination..but I don't have an amp. Anywho, I'd say go acoustic initially, and if you're really rolling in it, go ahead and get an electric. I might buy myself one with the money I'm saving from not being able to go to she show in Milwaukee
December 18, 200520 yr Went to the concert on Friday at Earls Court and had an amazing time! Was nearish to the front on Jonny's side. Jonny was amazing - especially when he came to the front during God Put A Smile on Your Face. That was my favourite bit of the concert! He rocked and looked HOT!!!! Did anyone who was there on Friday see the two girls standing inside the pit-bit that the photographs stand in? One of them - the darker haired one - was Jonny's girlfriend! I thought it might be her from the premiere photo and she was wearing a AAA pass. Then I saw jonny smiling at her! It was really sweet as every so often he looked at her and smiled and at one point near the beginning he really subtly mouthed a kiss! How cute - and how lucky is she! :) She was really pretty - more than the photo... :) It made me want to give him a massive hug! :P
December 18, 200520 yr :stunned: .....did you get a pic? and how cute of him to be smiling and stuff!
December 18, 200520 yr No - and I can't believe it! My friend promised to bring my camera, which she had borrowed before - and she forgot! Could have KILLED her! I am so stupid as should have brought some back-up disposible ones.... Hopefully someone else at the front took a photo. Netties pictures were great - at least someone was smart enought to bring a camera!! Wish I could have videoed Jonny as he looked SOOOOOO cute and all bashful when he caught her eye! She was with another girl but she was blonde so wasn't one of the other wives.
December 18, 200520 yr I feel bad cause i haven't had time to get on here with finals and all! SO here is a little treat for yall to enjoy!
December 19, 200520 yr Oh my. Sensory overload! No kidding!! :stunned: Thank you thank you thank you
