May 23, 201115 yr http://www.afs.org.nz/student_exchange/school-based-programmes/display-program/?destination=23&category=1 a full year away from home...but a full year hopefully with rebecka and in a different country and stuff :( i dunno, i was talking to my best(ish) friend last night and he said i should just do it if i love her :bigcry: I have met some people who really regret going on exchanges... hmm :bigcry: but the main obstacle is exams and stuff. next year is the year i start doing exams and choose the subjects that i will continue doing for the rest of my school life...im not sure how that works oh and the price is pretty big..haha....

May 23, 201115 yr You should do it. I have a friend from Sweden who did it here and she absolutely loved it. You have to be okay with being 'popular' though, because strangers attract attention a loooooot. Anyway, in all the people I have met and who have done AFS, there were none who disliked it. You just have to be ready to study in another country, get sort sort of new life for a year and be open minded to do a shitload of things haha
May 23, 201115 yr I think you should go for it. I think it'd be a great experience to go to school in another country and get to experience life there.
May 23, 201115 yr I'm going to post my standard answer in situations like this. Which would you regret more... Not doing it and wishing you had? or Doing it and wishing you hadn't?
May 23, 201115 yr Just do it!! I know someone from here who went on an exchange program with that agency, it seems to be a good one Plus it must be so awesome to live in a different country and learn about another culture... and you'll be with Rebecka :dazzled:
May 23, 201115 yr I'd feel stupid giving such direct advice on something so important and something I don't know enough about, but just for balance, don't just do it because it feels right, if only everything was that simple. If there are more or less equal logical reasons to do it then sure, emotions can tip the scale, but if you feel there's too many factors you'll be up against, you don't have to rush. I mean FUCK THAT GROW SOME BALLS AMIRITE GUISE
May 24, 201115 yr :) OhReilly/ I leave here in full agreement with you ! But also- love does find a way.:D Good luck and God bless, Eddie !
May 24, 201115 yr If you can afford it, go for it. It's most likely something you won't due in a while, and quite an experience. So I so DO EHT. :wacky:
May 24, 201115 yr Author I'm going to post my standard answer in situations like this. Which would you regret more... Not doing it and wishing you had? or Doing it and wishing you hadn't? not doing it and wishing i had. i can't wait until i finish school to see rebecka. i can't. :( I've been thinking about doing an exchange for quite a while. The fact that there's one in denmark is just a massive bonus...a MASSIVE bonus. I dunno. My mum has wanted me to do one for a while (does she want me out of the house or??)
May 24, 201115 yr I'm going to post my standard answer in situations like this. Which would you regret more... Not doing it and wishing you had? or Doing it and wishing you hadn't? You know this seems like such an obvious question after you read it but this is such a good way to give advice without leaning either way. I need to remember this yo.
May 24, 201115 yr DO IT EDDIE!!!!! there's a girl from Turkey here and I really loved this year in school with her and I will miss her next year in school. But if I would have the chance I would defnetly do it because I think it's a one in a lifetime experience. So GO FOR IT :whip:
May 25, 201115 yr Author yeaaaaaaaah i can't do it anymore. emailed AFS asking some questions and they told me you have to be 16 to go on the program, even though the website said 15. FUCK. I'll still do it though...just in 2 years... :bigcry:
