I still don't have a review :(

I'm pretty sure the person who made my tape has already got a review... but if not, hold tight. Now is not a good time for me to be writing reviews, sorry!! :\

Ok, so this is my crappy review.

Track 01 - Oh! This song reminds me of Fleetwood Mac! Is this Stevie Nicks? Well I can tell it's her cos you didn't remove all info. :P I haven't heard any solo stuff by her. I like this.

Track 02 - Oooh, nice album cover artwork, looks familiar!Ha! The Life and Death of a Male Body by The Rumour Said Fire! I have this album. This song is called "Dance", one of my favourite songs off the album. Haven't listened to them in ages. I like their music but I don't really dig the vocals.

Track 03 - I'm sorry but I think this is quite boring :P

Track 04 - Not a fan of the vocal, think it's a bit whinny..

Track 05 - Ha! Saw the album cover artwork! Morning Runner's Wilderness Is Paradise Now. I don't recognize which song is this. I've only listened to this album a few times. *checks music library* So this song is called Burning Benches. Nice one. Too bad they disbanded.

Track 06 - Electric guitar, a male vocal reminds me of Maroon 5.

Track 07 - A more upbeat song. Cool intro. Male vocal reminds me of U2 or Michael Gira :P I like this.

Track 08 - Gossamer Thread by David Gray. Don't get me wrong. I've never heard of anything by him.

Track 09 - Acoustic guitar. This sounds familiar! I've heard this before! Can't recall which band/song though! This is great.

Track 10 - Acoustic guitar. Nice male vocal. Then another older male vocal comes in. "Someone come and save my life" . Love the hand clapping and ending guitar riff. This is good.

Track 11 - Nice intro. Female vocal reminds me of Yeah Yeah Yeahs. This is good.

Track 12 - Acoustic guitar..slow and calm. Nice male vocal. Lyrics are a bit boring.

Track 13 - Is this country music? Sounds like one. Sorry, I don't dig this.

Thank you, mixtape maker. Sorry for taking so long to do this review. I enjoyed the mixtape, particularly tracks 1,2,5,7,9, 10 & 11.

Please post the tracklisting soon :)

i'm sorry for not doing my review yet... i'm going to try to finish my mix by early-middle next week... i've just been busy

my partner responded to his review-e but won't review mine bah :(

OK, so here's my very late (and not so great) review!

01 (hello) - An intro of a man talking. I’m not sure who he is or what/where the quote is from, but it’s quite interesting. Background music is slightly haunting.

02 (you) - An electronic instrumental, relaxing and well, mellow :P. It’s really nice though, I’m not quite sure how else to describe it. By this stage on my first listen I already had a bit of an idea who my mixtape maker might be.

03 (are) – Ego! Love this song. It’s one of, if not my favourite song to come out this year with Mr. Yorke’s voice.

04 (listening) – Another electronic instrumental, a little more upbeat than the first. I really have no idea how to review this sort of music, but it’s good!

05 (to) – I feel like I’ve heard this song, but I couldn’t say who it is or where I’ve heard it before. Another electronic instrumental, but the mixtape is flowing really well and it doesn’t bother me at all that there’s only been one song with vocals (or lyrics, anyway).

06 (this, maybe, not) – The first time I listened to this mixtape, I had no idea who it was but I liked it a lot. It was only by chance that between my first and second listen I gave Four Tet’s ‘There is Love in You’ a spin for the first time. So on second listen, I recognize it as “Plastic People.” Great song! One of my favourites so far.

07 (so good mixtape) – Whaddya know, more electronic :p Like I said, I’m not really sure how to review this… but it’s good!

08 (but it was) – This one’s a little bit different. Very nice female vocals, but for some reason I’m not a huge fan of them. Perhaps with more listening they’ll grow on me, though.

09 (made with) – A slightly happier, more upbeat number than previous songs. More female vocals. A really good song to start winding things down.

10 (loveeeee) – This song reminds me that I need to listen to more Radiohead. It’s Thom, but I don’t recognise the song. Excellent closer, though.

I really, really liked this mixtape. No offense to any of my previous mixtape makers, but this has probably been my favourite mixtape I’ve received so far. The songs all just fit together really well on the tape. I’m sure this is one mixtape I’m going to listen to in the future just because I like it. I’m really excited to see what all the songs are that I don’t know.

The track names, the comical individual artworks for each track, the (often vocal-less) electronic music featuring the likes of Thom Yorke and Four Tet really leave me with little doubt that my mixtape maker is Eddie… and if not, I’ll be one very confused person. :P

Anyway, thank you! Because I really, really enjoyed listening to this tape. It was well worth the study breaks :p

Now I just feel like an idiot :P

Are you sure you don't have a clone??

Haha, don't. I'm actually really confused :bigcry:

my first song on my last tape had a man talking, with eerie background music. :aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah:

I'm scared and confused too :bigcry:

Edit: RIGHT, WHO'S PRETENDING TO BE EDDIE?

Oh hai hello bonjour. Since your mixtape partner/maker did not make a mixtape for you, Mike asked me to make one and I happened to have that one made already. Haha no I'm not Eddie, not pretending to be Eddie. Before I sent the mixtape I made sure to check out your lastfm, so yeah I decided to show you some electronic tracks I enjoy lots, making a bit of emphasis on Four Tet cos that was basically my best discovery in music about 3 years ago, you should listen to Rounds, specially Hands, which is one of my favorite tracks by him. As for the artwork and the other shit I just tried to make it a nice relaxing mixtape to listen to.

This is the tracklist, glad you enjoyed it =D

1.- Outro - Unkle

2.- Edgar - Modeselektor

3.- Ego - Burial + Four Tet + Thom Yorke

4.- I am Citizen Insane - Radiohead

5.- You - Gold Panda (the album actually has two tracks named like that, so if you download it is the last track)

6.- Plastic People - Four Tet

7.- Moth - Burial & Four Tet

8.- Biscuit - Portishead

9.- Quick Canal - Atlas Sound

10.- 4 minute Warning - Radiohead
