In my scarecrow dreams, When they smash my heart into smithreens, I'll be a bright red rose come bursting the concrete. Be a cartoon heart.. Light a fire, up by the spark, Light a fire, flame in my heart, We'll run wild, We'll be glowing in the dark... All the boys, all the girls, All the mess in the world, All the boys, all the girls, All the madness that occurs, All the highs, all the lows, As the room is spinning, gold We'll run riot, We'll be glowing in the dark... So we're so....luminous and wild,, We'll be glowing in the dark. I've been listening to the Jimmy Kimmel version, and these are 99% right, check it. The Parts im not sure are "up by the spark" and im sure he says "as the room spinning goes" thats what i think he sings in the Studio version. Ostrich Posted September 24, 2011 Share Posted September 24, 2011 It's embarrassing how clear the word "luminous" is now that we know what to listen for. Ah well. Good catch, Cake! I'd always thought the lyrics were "So it's all" instead of "So we saw" or "So we're so" because I kept hearing that "L" sound...guess it was from "luminous" after all! Have we seen these lyrics written by the band anywhere (on instruments or anything)? I'm not saying it's not "combusting," I was just wondering if it's been confirmed or not. Ostrich Posted October 14, 2011 Share Posted October 14, 2011 I'm still not sold on the "wire" bit, and there's still a missing syllable after "luminous" in any case, which makes me wonder if the word we're looking for is "luminescent." Another thought: "And we're so luminescent while We'll be glowing in the dark." Not really sold on that one either, but it's another possibility.
