June 3, 200620 yr THANKS WOW. I'm in TOTAL shock. I can't even explain the feeling. I'm just sitting here like :stunned: I'm even turning yellow! LMFAOOO I think my mom'll go with me, she likes them a lot. She's a very good concert goer, and she's the one who got the tickets! ;) wow....... I had completely (COMPLETELY) resigned myself to the fact that I'm not seeing them.
June 3, 200620 yr Congratz! Your mom is cool. My parents still think rock music is of the devil... going to rot my mind... ect.
June 3, 200620 yr :juggle: even though i am green with evil envy...I can't help but be truly happy that YOU will be enjoying their goods! Danielle...I can only Imagine the joy you must be feeling with this! Put that joy where it belongs and take good good pictures and post them alll here! Cuz it's well known that you take some shiz (awesome  ) pictures :O
June 3, 200620 yr I stick to that statement. I have never ever even remotely found them similar.... Not in lyrics, not in sound, not in style, or the mood of their music.. The funny part is... I found them (or at least Chris & Thom's voices) awfully similar when I initially heard Radiohead after having listened to Coldplay for a couple of years. But then again, I did think Chris' style of singing was even more comparable to Jeff Buckley (and now Muse's Matt Belamy to Thom). How much perceptions change. I think it has partly to do with trying to find the next most similar band/voice to compare to - back then, Coldplay's style of emotive music was quite unique - and also, partly to do with one's own depth of understanding in music (and life). I find that as I grow older and get to know more and more bands and explore the realm of so-called 'Brit-pop/rock' further, the more diverse and different I find the sounds between the various British bands. It's no longer just four blokes with good tunes and guitars - there are so many more layers. Just 1-2 years ago I would've said Coldplay & Radiohead are comparable. Now, I would call it grossly unfair and a bit akin to comparing apples and oranges (albeit maybe a fresh, crunchy apple with a slightly sour orange :P). In my mind, I know that now.

June 4, 200620 yr Saw Radiohead in Philly on friday!!! WAS BLOODY AMAZING!!! OMG!! The tower theatre is a great place to see a band.. not a bad seat in the house and the sound was perfect.. I was about 20 rows back from the stage but it didnt feel like it. The security there was so lax.. people on the floor (all seats were reserved) in the aisles. I and a girl I met there were able to move up at least 10 rows and got a great view. Danced my ass off was sweaty as hell not mention it was hot in there and then got drenched when we got outside.....it was literally raining cats and dogs...rain was coming down in sheets...it was quite hilarious seeing everyone try and get out of there.. Words cannot describe how I feel.. Anyone who can tickets to any of these intimate venue shows GO! Something that can't be missed.!
