Radiohead

Featured Replies

I was disappointed with how it turned out in In Rainbows :( :( :(

But not as disappointed as I was with NUDE/BIG IDEAS. '98 live version was possibly my ultimate favourite Radiohead song and I was going nuts over the fact that it was going to be part of In Rainbows except it was.. such a let down.. no glockenspiel.. unnecessary outro.. i could go on forever .. oh well.

Yeah i know what you mean. It took me a while to get used to the studio versions of Nude and Videotape. The 98' live version of big ideas was perfect to me and it was my fav radiohead songs ever for months. But hey, it's not that bad.

never too early to teach kids how fucked up the world is

It's quite hilarious to see 11-year olds sing "Bring down the government", you gotta admit.

But kudos to their teacher to feed them with decent music instead of Britney Spears and the likes.

there's plenty of classical music to teach these kids, but no, not this guy. He figures give these kids a head-start on all the crap they will live through. Might as well start em on Radiohead now.

Poor parents! They got some depressed kids at home

Yeah, my siblings are broken into two categories... the two that like Radiohead... and the three that despise Radiohead. hahaha. Kids probably would miss most of the meaning of the songs at this point anyway lol

I saw a radiohead 2009 calender today...

...but had no cash in which to buy it with :(

Nope; they haven't released an official 2009 calendar ....

Also, a bit of news from an Ukrainian newspaper ... seems like they're doing the LP8 already!

Tom York, the singer of British group Radiohed, in a recent interview told of plans to release the next album. According to Thomas, the musicians will continue to experiment with electronics and the new album will probably be reminded of the sound record Kid A. The recording tracks is scheduled for late May - early June. But the main highlight of the disc is that it will form the foundation works of the popular Ukrainian singer. According to New York, the disc with songs Ivo Bobul was handed over to him loyal fans Ukrainian pop star after Radiohead performances at the festival Siget in 2007.

- We listen to the disc, and we very much, - said Tom. - And we have John (Greenwood, guitarist Radiohead, approx. Ed.) Occurred at the same time the idea to perform these wonderful songs in its processing. Johnny now even performed one of the things that seems to love poplars (presumably meant Topolino Love, approx. Ed.).

- Yes, it is now noyzovaya, a lot of dissonance, and I even went to the studio of the London Symphony Orchestra to record the sound of violins rasstroennoy - Johnny nods. - An excellent track! But I think we can make it even better.

- We did not know that your country is such an interesting music. I think we will continue to experiment and considering that the visit a couple of concerts of Ukrainian singers - adds Tom.

Well, such cases now. In the meantime, the guys write, we have to look to wait out a new plate and ask, what about this thought himself Ivo.

It's not a good translation because it's from Google. Also, I don't think it's the real news, but if anything out of it is true, then

Damn, I was kinda hoping they'd secretly started recording already.

On the other hand, it's good to read the band is heading back to the studio in May/June. At least they're not sick of each other yet ;)

My money is on in about 5 or so years time they do 'deluxe' re-releases of the 6 albums, beefing them up with the b-sides from that era, some remixes they have the rights to and some other stuff.

Seriously I should have put money on that, although I was a bit wrong on the time-wise

I would buy a deluxe edition if it had all the b-sides on it.

I would guess the remaining 3 albums will be given the treatment at a later date, for EMI to get some more money from the band's fans.

I personally wouldn't buy these albums. I mean, they're good, but this is just milking while the cow is still standing.

I will probably buy these if they are priced reasonably.

My money is on in about 5 or so years time they do 'deluxe' re-releases of the 6 albums, beefing them up with the b-sides from that era, some remixes they have the rights to and some other stuff.

I guess it will never get old
