  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

The references are getting soooo old and unfunny. <_<

the pointless snide remarks

of hammerheaded sharks

haha

I was thinking more along the lines of U2's the Fly when I posted it.

But you have sucessfully Radioheadified it.

ahhh.. now i see it

this could be a great mood:

 don't leave me high:rolleyes3:

I didn't know we had so many rolleyes smileys.

there is a massive discussion over on the metacritic.com forums about whether anything will replace Kid A as the album of the decade for Pitchfork magazine. for those of you who didnt know Pitchfork made a list of the best albums of the first half of the decade and Kid A came out on top.

The Funeral by Arcade Fire is the most likely contender?

i wouldnt be surprised to see all 4 post 2000 radiohead albums make the top 20. and maybe even In Rainbows being top 10. but that will leave them open to massive criticism, so they'll spread the 4 around evenly, as much as they would love to put all 4 up the top.

If pitchfork does a list of the decade I honestly don't see anything topping Kid A unless a masterpiece comes out in the next 9 months.

"masterpiece"???

mate Kid A is beyond a masterpiece. its...........well i dont know what it is. i like In Rainbows more but there is something about Kid A.............i dont think ill ever quite be able to put my finger on it.

haha, I don't hand out the masterpiece title for too many albums :P

I like Kid A a lot, but it is an album that has a very divided opinion surrounding it.

for those of you who didnt know Pitchfork made a list of the best albums of the first half of the decade and Kid A came out on top.

And out of 100 albums they didn't even think twice about including coldplay :dozey:

Kid A is a fantastic album, but its overly bloated by critics IMO. I'm kind of dissapointed they can't seem to come up with anything else from this decade. In Rainbows or a Sigur Ros album perhaps.

I really like Kid A, but The Bends is my fav Radiohead album. :D

^^

same here haha. everytime i hear Kid A i like it a bit more. but i find it very difficult to compare to other albums simply because its sooo unique.
