Yeah, music videos are definitely overrated. I prefer watching live videos and stuff on youtube.

 

yeah, i mean some videos like just, and peter gabriels "sledgehammer" or michael jackson's "thriller" are cool, but i'd take a live performance anyday

ditto. i do like the Yellow and Scientist vid though. but i do prefer live performance vids

Music videos are worth it if they tell a story, or have a message directly related with the song. But videos where the band pretends to play the song while jumping around trying look cool on some rooftop somewhere is not really worth watching. Then again, I can enjoy a music video for beautiful imagery alone sometimes, depending on the video.

I prefer live performances by far. But I used to like music videos when other people cared about music videos. Now that no one cares, I don't either.

 

But how cool was the multi-colored fake plastic trees video? That stuff was cool in the day.
