But what upset me was if we remember back to parachutes, AROBTTH, X&Y they released singles with many other songs on them that did not make the album. Mylo Xyloto only released 1 song that didnt make the album, Moving to Mars... Hopefully they don't do that again....

Maybe they want to use some material from MX on LP6. We might not even know about that :sneaky:

BUT still Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall EP came out approx 5 months prior the album (Australia that is). Then Paradise single came out a month before the albums release. So who knows??

I'm sure CP has a new focus, a new direction, and has left everything else behind.

I'm gonna take a guess and say that we might get a new single by the end of the year which seems reasonable given that Christmas Lights was released December prior to MX

Not much but don't forget we got also an EP during that era. Mylo wasn't the era where b-sides could be released. It was mainly focused on how they sound/look live, not on the music i think. If the next era is going to be like Viva or the albums before we could expect some more songs with experimental sounds like I Ran Away and The Goldrush.

That's true and that is what I hope their new material is going to be like. I hope we are going back to Parachutes/AROBTTH sound. That is the coldplay a absolutely love!

^ yes definitely. Because as we know Mylo Xyloto was a different sound again to their previous albums. Well each one has their own sound. Parachutes with a slower take. AROBTTH a little more faster, rockier. X&Y more "spacier". VLV had a "different" sound. Just meaning the sounds were different. And then Mylo Xyloto was a more upbeat album. All different sounds. Lets blend a few?

^ I agree with you because I want something different too, but it's just that everytime is harder to do different things. I mean, maybe I don't want them to do exactly the same album, but if they're not gonna repeat themselves, I just prefer that the new music is similar to that era.

I just discovered that they wrote a song named: Jazz and Blues Improvisation when they were recording A Rush.

 

Damn i hate coldplay, I want something quite but strong at the same time, blues or jazz, please, i'm begging you :angry:

Coldplay should do a album full of sleep songs.
