August 12, 201114 yr I have done a kidney, heart, brain, eye Woah, you're young too. No? :uhoh: We didn't get to do it until our second last year of highschool. I think my friends who did physics got to dissect an eye actually.

In total it took us a month since we were locating every single muscle, organ part, etc., so we had to keep on re-storing them. But to relate to the original topic though, there isn't really any blood left when dissecting stuff so it kind of doesn't really equate imo.

August 12, 201114 yr I'm okay when I see blood or even big injuries for that matter. I know these three brothers. One of them cut their leg badly playing football. Which isn't good because when one of the other brothers sees blood, he throws up. And the last brother hates the sight of puke and throws up when he sees it. :| Why did I find that so funny? :| Anyways, I'm fine with blood. I don't like it or anything but it doesn't bother me.
August 13, 201114 yr I enjoy dissecting in science :blank: I thought it said "silence" instead of "science" and I was like WTF? :wtf:... :P I have absolutely no problem with blood. But I was about to throw up when we dissected a heart and a chicken wing in class :sick:

August 13, 201114 yr In AP bio you dissect whole kitties (counts as college credits). :nod: For honors bio (which I was in) we dissected a worm, starfish, squid, and frog. Squid was the worst, but frog was the hardest. My partner and I got 10 extra points on the lab though for best dissection because we found the brain within the class period of 1 hour. :wacky:

August 13, 201114 yr I've never had a problem with blood. I kind of get it though, I like bugs and spiders and things- in my head at least- I think they're fascinating (at least when they're not invading). But I could never pick up a spider or beetle or something to look at it. My body spazzes out and starts shaking and I would risk squashing it by accident. It's like my head is going hmm that's interesting while my arms are going ew get it off get it off. I used to know someone who was so sensitive she even fainted at the thought of blood. One time she was reading a book that had a surprisingly gory bit in it. She passed out when she read that part, split her head open on a counter when she fell, was covered in actual blood when she woke up, and ended up having to get lots of stitches. :wtf:
