You guys are awesome, btw. 162 pages

rumors of an EMI stream on the 15th.

that's cool rumor

For gods sake I predicted today, and went on to talk at length about how my psychic powers should then be talked about for years after the leak. Arrogance like this only lends itself more questions of doubt if I am wrong, so for the love of god EMI, leak the fucking album!

The more you know.

Why would EMI stream the album? People so dumb, their only gonna stream when it's leaked, their not gonna be the leakers

i don't really think it makes sense that it would be up for streaming on a saturday..

Don't worry. weed-pulling isn't so bad once you get used to it. *dawns garden gloves*

Viva officially streamed over a week before its release.

yes, but after it actually leaked, right?

Because it leaked.

Once VLV leaked the numbers in the forum SKY-ROCKETED! One was hard pressed to log in.

Right, maybe they are assuming a leak between now and then and have the infrastructure in place to stream it? Just a theory. Maybe it is a stream in the event of a leak.

Hmm, this is plausible, where's the source of the leak on saturday?

Streaming an album before a leak is way more intelligent than streaming AFTER a leak. That way you discourage leak downloads by offering eager fans a place to listen any time they want BEFORE they find a leak download, without breaking the law, and most of all the band is entirely in control of their product. A lot of bands have started doing that lately. Foo Fighters did and it worked like a charm. This is what I've been saying all along that Coldplay should do.

Yes, i was so glad that foo did it, and it did work. hmmm. Good point.

Maybe it wont leak, like watch the throne. How did that avoid leak?

It was never sent to press and kept digital. So I heard

ohhhh. SO chances are MX has to leak? A) because of the heat on it, and B) it's being pressed?

The band Taking Back Sunday did this on their Facebook page, the day that it leaked they started streaming it. So I tweeted them something along the lines of me downloading the leak to which they DM'd me saying 'or you could listen to the legit stream'. I thought this was an interesting approach so I humoured them and offered them a response of 'Yes, but I've already pre-ordered the deluxe edition and I want it on my iPod, does your "legit stream" offer that?' and John Nolan, the guitarist replied 'Fair enough' proving my point afterall- bands don't care if or when you download a leak, they just want you to commit to buying a copy in the longrun and since Coldplay.com has bled me dry for the £50 pop up which comes out in DECEMBER- I don't think they could complain too much about a leak, I bet they've already made millions off pre-orders.

Also, they signed an exclusivity deal with Best Buy and therefore had more control over the product.
