Sorry I don't really know bands similar to Coldplay that haven't already been mentioned.

If the question asks "Bands similar to old Coldplay" I'd say Snow Patrol, Travis and Keane.

that or isn't aware that around AROBTTH there were many parodies critizising the fact that seemed all bands at the time sounded exactly like Coldplay. :|
