I don't agree that the Oracle is completely bullshit, but she's definitely nothing more than a marketing tool. She also seems to give out false information like 'the album hasn't been named yet' We know this isn't true because she's said more recently that the title was decided early on. She's also said that Mylo Xyloto isn't a made up language. Again, this completely contradicts what Chris has said about the name being made up from nothing. And frankly that agony aunt 'Team Oracle' crap has no place on a band website.

She does indeed. The sort of anger being voiced in this post at her is pretty much breaking the new reminder as it's being hostile to a member of the forum (even if she's not going to come out and announce herself)

I never trusted the oracle.It's not an independent person.

 

The Oracle thinks that everything Coldplay does is fantastic.

And I wouldn't call the Oracle just a marketing tool. It's something that keeps fans connected to the band and seems like a generally nice little part of the Coldplay website. I don't think that just because they do something nice or interesting means it's just to make money, maybe they just care about their fans...
