Just my thought : Sometimes the most CRAZY ideas, turn out to be GENIUS ideas... ;)

So just Wait & See :)

I'm guessing awful. Paradise just isen't a good song.. But maybe the video can make it up, and make it seem better. :)

Somehow I'm afraid that Paradise can't get better! But I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed that it make it less annoying!

Elephants, REALLY???? OK so we have a studio with green screen and "neon" style + brazilian girl brushing her teath + elephants holding papers with the lyrics + desert scenes. Of cousre, It makes so much sense now.

OMG!That's a crazy story!!!I'm so jealous...

To be fair, Coldplay isn't known for their music videos (I still find elephant heads one of the dumbest things ever).

To be fair they're much more well known than most. The Scientist video has been parodied many times and the LIT II video was very popular. No act these days are known for videos really. This ain't the 80s. Bit of a pointless thing to say tbh.

The British rock band, “Coldplay”, has just completed a music video for their soon to be released international album, in the Western Cape. The Cape Film Commission says the band has filmed the video in- and- around the Mother City, as well as in the Little Karro between their recent Cape Town and Johannesburg concerts. Commission spokesperson, Denis Lillie says they prioritised filming of the video on local turf because of its’ potential effect in attracting future visitors to Cape Town. Provincial minister for economic development and tourism, Alan Winde, says the group’s shoot in the Western Cape will also give much needed boost of confidence to the local tourism sector. Coldplay’s new album “Mylo Xyloto” will be released toward the end of this month. Some other artists that have filmed music videos in Cape Town in the past include, Tina Turner, Blue, Westlife and Eros Ramazzotti.

My post was directly in response to Prospector's post.

I don't want you on Coldplaying :D Paradise video is gonna be one of the most original video's ever :wink3:

Well, that's very optimistic. Wait, it's not. It's a little pathetic. Yeah, that's the word.

How can you criticize an opinion when you haven't seen the video yet?

That's immature, really.

Exactly.

Fantastic story, so glad you met him and shook his hand, brilliant!! Well done!!

Why is this annoying people? They're not taking their-selves seriously and having some fun, geez. So many people on here hate the "Coldplay are depressing" argument and as soon as they go against that to the other extreme people say they hate the idea! There's no pleasing some people there really isn't.

Oh thanks for this story, hilarious! :laugh3:

I can't believe they're actually doing this... This could go very wrong.

Ah whatever, maybe it's brilliant.

I bet there were a lot of kids who did that whilst he was there. I hope the bodyguard didn't deny them pictures too. Harsh :\ :P

Kid: Mummy mummy can I have a photo with the elephant?! :cheesy:

Kelly: Stand down! :veryangry:

Kid: :bigcry:

Hahahahaha

Hello,

I dont really post that much but today I got off the Tube at Charing Cross station to be met by Chris Martin in an elephant costume right by the escalators! CRAZY! It's the first time I have met him!

He was wearing the full costume head to toe. He was in front of the camera holding up a ripped cardboard with the lyris "When she was just a girl..." written by hand on it.

This was today at about lunch time (tuesday). In total it was about 3 people behind the camera fixing stuff, one bodyguard & Chris in an elephant suit!

I went up to shake his hand saying I loved his music and he said "How do you know it's me!?". As they couldn't see his face people thought he was some type of busker or perfomer, little did they know they were shaking the hand of the lead singer of Coldplay!

That truly made my day. I LOL'ed. "How do you know it's me!?"

Elephantastic - haha.

Hype Williams is too expensive to be dumped!

This is definitely for a 2nd video.

If that's true then I won't mind. If this is a second video, it could actually be sort of a joke and then I wouldn't care.

Well, I really hope is a second video. I've imagine the Paradise video as something "magic", not as something "fun".

...Anyway, I'm not against that, I just want something better than the guys having fun with elephant heads.

To be fair, Coldplay isn't known for their music videos (I still find elephant heads one of the dumbest things ever).

Well, they have some good ones, but yes. And I don't think it's so dumb, it could be funny if it's for a second video, but elephants and Hype don't fit.

An elephant costume... Why does this not surprise me :dozey:
