What is truely the best coldplay album (too the date)

I feel like I like the first three equally and I have a love and hate for vlvdwfhwfyg and mylo xyloto is just NO.

I voted MX simply because it's their most cohesive album yet. If we're talking strength of individual songs, that's another story.

In my opinion Viva La Vida tops Mylo Xyloto by an inch.

Mylo Xyloto is a pretty good album, but musicall wise, i voted viva. it was tough for me.

but very closely followed by VLV and MX, maybe the last two are better, but A Rush of Blood to the Head left a very strong mark on me...

I must say AROBTTH as well. I have a theory that your favorite album is the album through which you have discovered the band and it's been working perfectly fine in almost all cases as I see :P This album is pure emotion and love, there's no song you listen to and say "oh, this one is ok". They are all beautiful and touch the soul.

I tell anyone who will listen that AROBTTH is one of the greatest albums of all time.

okay? i discovered them when i hear speed of sound on the radio. the next time i heard a coldplay song was violet hill in '09 then bought viva, then parachutes, arobtth, and x&y (not in particular order)

No question for me. I love all the others, even MX (which might just surpass VLV) but if I were to introduce Coldplay to anyone, I would ask them to listen to AROBTTH. :nod:

I voted X&Y, but after hearing Mylo Xyloto it was tough. Something about MX makes me jump with joy but I like X&Y just a bit better :D

Without a doubt I think Parachutes is their best. It's also my favorite album period. Coldplay will never beat that album.
