October 17, 200619 yr According to muse.mu, "an extended studio recording of Assassin" will be the b-side to KoC single. Yes!!! Assassin has become one of my favourites from the album, so it'll be great to hear an extended version. Who knows, maybe they'll include the old Debase riff..
October 18, 200619 yr is it true that the noisettes are supporting muse on their uk tour? will there be anyone else there as well?

Actually, Assassin is the one I like the less on BHAR, but I would love it if I could get an extended version anyway...

Aaaah that's great news!!! Assassin is also one of my faves from BHAR, I particularily love the drumming :nice:

October 18, 200619 yr is it true that the noisettes are supporting muse on their uk tour? will there be anyone else there as well? yep it's true, the noisettes will be supporting muse, other support acts haven't been confirmed yet.. btw I wasn't that impressed by Assassin when the album was first released, but it has really grown on me since and now it's one of my favourites.. and the drumming is amazing
October 20, 200619 yr Song of the day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKeGh1VwiLg gives me goose bumps every single time I listen to it. Brilliant.
October 21, 200619 yr I love this band, they are incredible. I saw them live in August, and is one of the best shows I've seen in awhile. Also got pictures with them! As for Assassin..I love the "uncut" version...it sounds way better than the one on record...it sounds more...rock-ish? I can't explain it...it was known as "Debase Masons Grog" or something REALLY strange like that....anyone else heard this version? I've heard a rough live version of it, when it was still new and they performed it on their last US tour.

I've only seen couple of vids of them performing Debase Mason's Grog live, and although I like the album version a lot, the old one is even better. It's going to be interesting to hear the version on the KoC single.

I wonder if we'll get a studio version of Burning Bandits as well; I found both Assassin and Exo-Politics lacking compared to their earlier live versions.
October 21, 200619 yr i prefer Assassin to Debase .. just about ... but i do much prefer Burning Bandits to Exo-Politics .. Big Up MUSE
October 22, 200619 yr I never heard Debase Mason's Grog and Burning Bandits. Could anyone upload them for me ?
October 22, 200619 yr They are early versions of Assassin and Exo-Politics; these are from their concert in Buffalo from 2004. http://rapidshare.com/files/256920/Debase_Burning_Mason_Bandit_s_Grog.zip.html
October 22, 200619 yr Huge thanks for uploading  I also hadn't heard Burning Bandits earlier, not sure which version of the song I prefer now..
October 23, 200619 yr I've just got to post this random quote I found Matt: Apparently men go into a cave when they get stressed and I think that's probably true, although, personally, I tend to let it out. I did have a bit of a tantrum in my hotel bathroom last night, but I managed to repair the toilet, so that's OK. I: You trashed a hotel toilet? Matt: Um sort of. Everyone does that, don't they? (Matt's rockstar tantrums - Melody Maker December 1999) :laugh3: Somehow I doubt he does that very often these days.. not sure he used to do that so often before either.. sure he used to trash his guitar after a show every now and then but for some reason I can't picture him trashing hotel rooms.. at least I think
October 23, 200619 yr I think this feature of Rock lifestyle is ridiculous : trashing your hotel room as well as destroying the instrument has led you on to this wonderful rock-star life. I mean, yeah ! he's allowed to think as a teenager all time and earns a lot of money : he does what he loves the most and many people are fond of him and his work, thanks to these bloody guitars he's used to breaking every now and then. God, Matt, grow up !!
October 23, 200619 yr yes he used to have those tantrums on stage.. talking about interviews, I remember reading or seeing one where he said that he stopped trashing the stage after the show, so I guess he DID grow up at some point and doesn't do that anymore.. and if I'm not wrong I think trashing the stage was something they did together after the show.. and I have no idea how often that happened.. I guess their excuse was that they had a 'bad show' or something like that.. at least I think it was often Matt and Chris trashing Dom's drumkit.. luckily they're all grown-up now (I think..!)
October 24, 200619 yr just realized I'm missing (at least) 2 b-sides: Con-science and Jimmy Kane.. could anyone please upload? pretty please..?
