haha, no, a one-hit wonder for me - I posted the other day that I liked Time Is Running Out and the lovely people here gave me some other track recommendations for me to try out...

 

...some I liked, some not so much, Time Is Running Out is the best one in my book, so I think I'm gonna stick with that one song...maybe Hysteria too sometimes...idk...I did try to like Muse but :shrug: not quite my cuppa tea...you can't win 'em all ..:P

Muse are an acquired taste. I know I didn't like them for a while (after I first heard them), but I gradually fell in love with their music. :)

 

Don't feel bad, squareone, if you don't like them. Muse aren't for everyone.

 

Thats a shitload of crap. I can count people who dont like Muse on my hand.

 

A - Well in my defense I haven't paid much attention to Muse, but they seemed like a bit of a black eyeliner band like Green Day :P Musiclly, I thought they sounded too much like Radiohead...

 

..I've heard Hysteria on the radio a few times too..and kept mistaking it for a Radiohead song.. :\ (but I do like that one :thumbsup:) Knights of Cydonia I just tried, but didn't care for that much..:thumbsdown:

Hey I started with Knights of Cydonia and it didnt impress me. I didnt continue listening to Muse for few next months until I heard New Born. Now I realize they make it to my top two bands list and I feel ashamed for not continuing to listen to them then,because Knights Of Cydonia is one of the best songs EVER.

I love how his basslines dominates most of their songs, cuz usually bassists just stand at the back & play wonderful, yet subtle notes.

I figure it's because there's only 1 other guitar and the drums in the band, so Chris' bass playing is really more of a 2nd guitar than of a rhythm section.
