  • I've been a Muse fan for a couple of years now. I liked a couple of their hits but then a friend invited me to come with him to a Muse concert with him in 2013. The live experience was amazing and I h

The "casual" fan problem hasn't really been a problem for coldplay as much as it has been for snow patrol & muse. Most casual fans for snow patrol think that final straw was their debut, and the same goes for muse with absolution.

Snow patrol met at my uni...i'm not that keen on them, possibly why i assumed final straw was their debut :embarassed:

Me and my friend (Kara, 'crazyduckette') discussed this when we saw them last year, and named those people 'Starlighters' :laugh3:

There were shitloads of them at Wembley.

hehe, why would you go if you only knew 1song of a 2hr set????

Just to be at the 'first' concert at the new Wembley I guess.

^Exactly.

To be fair though, the middle aged peeps that were there & didn't seem to be big Muse fans seemed pretty cool...they probably just fancied a good night out and wanted to see the new arena and yeah, probably also say they saw the first band, but whatev, they didn't bother me as much. They were just enjoying themselves.

It was all the indie scenester kids who you could tell didn't know a single song beyond SBH/Starlight and ooh maaaaybe TIRO but were still strutting about like they owned the place

I mean, I don't give a shit if someone doesn't really know much of their music..maybe their friend got tickets & dragged them along, or maybe they like a few songs & thought they'd see how they are live. Fair play to 'em.

But those shitty kids with their big sunglasses and equally big attitudes who are just there 'cos it's what's 'cool' right now, just do my nut in.

/rant over :D

Please continue your rants Steph, they are lovely to read ;)

It was my first time to see them live cause I missed them nearly 4 years ago, and I must say it has been an awesome show...but the ballons during Plug in baby reminded me a bit too much those used by Coldplay during Yellow =P

Whoa, i was there too! never thought anyone from cplaying would have been there, way to go!

An awesome show indeed. I had a great time and ah, they really sound absolutely great live.

Oh really? That's awesome, but also a pity we both didn't know the other was there too :(

where were you seated?

yeah, feels weird to think that i was at the same place with a coldplayer, haha.

We had tickets on the "floor" with 2 of my friends.. the seats were on the right.

ah, i've gotta ask this: What do you think of the human-waves

I thought they were fantastic! I was sitting near to the dude who made it all happen..who started all the new waves, haha, bet he was so proud of himself for getting everyone to do them

LOL yes I've seen a picture of that guy, some of my friends were on the floor seats too. The human-wave it's a thing I've seen in almost any concert here, it's a nice thing to see and to be part of =)

I've just put the link to the show recording in multimedia ;)

Who wants me to post that viena gig?

do you have video??

ooo what happened to the old extra long muse thread? or has this become the main one now?

Wahoo, 5 more days till teh Myooze!

anyone know how general admission goes about? like is it standing only...first people to arrive get closest to the stage ..orrr ?

Have fun seeing Muse you guys! :) I'm still trying to convince my parents to let me see them in Irvine...

This has become the main Muse thread ;)

I believe this is the original muse thread ever since jess created it

Damn i miss jess! :bigcry:

And damn i missed you Bonita! where the heck have you been!? :bigcry:

Well as this is the 3rd most posted in thread in World of Music (1st is "what you listening to", 2nd is "the libertines, babyshambles, DPT, Yeti etc" thread, 3rd is this thread & 4th is another "what you listening to" thread) :smug:

Nope, Detroit, a day after.

:D

GA is simple, queue up, and get to the front.

Well, last year, I arrived to see Muse about a half an hour before the ticket time stated, and I was at nearly the back of the line and I still managed to get nearly perfect standing placement. I was probably 7 rows from the front, I could have gone up more if I wanted my ribs broken though.:laugh4:

Sadly, this year Muses popularity have grown in the US therefore the venue size therefore, no GA, so I'm seated in section 600 row h. So not so close, but not to far.
