What clock alarm I can use ?

Featured Replies

I wonder what song for my alarm clock I can use. I use Lovers in japan since one year and I am bored of this song!

Thanks you :)

Nothing. Just oversleep.

You'll always end up hating the song you choose.

The last song I used was Arcade Fire's 'Keep the Car Running' which made me feel like waking up for about 2 weeks, now I hate that fucking song.

You know the problem with choosing a song for an alarm clock is that after a few days you end up liking the song a bit less (or hating it) because you associate it with the sacrifice of waking up early. This is why I usually go for the traditional alarm clock sound.

you beat me to it. totally agree.

EDIT: something similar happened with my cellphone ring, I don't feel the song I chose is as special and great now.

I agree.

I say pick something that you don't really care for or like. That way you won't get sick of it and since you already dislike it it'll make you more likely to wake up to turn it off.

Don't pick a song, as everyone here said you would end up hating any song you choose.

I just have my iPod on shuffle. So long as it's not uber-calming music (some Sigur Rós, most classical music, Kings of Convenience, etc), I wake up pretty well.

I have the traditional BIP BIP BIP, at maximum volume, so I instantaneously jump out of bed. Works every time.

edit: if you really want to wake up with a song, then choose the one you hate the most, still at maximum volume.

yeah, i really need to change mine too, i've gotten so used to it that i hardly even wake up now

I just set my phone to vibrate for my alarm.

The sound of it buzzing scares the crap outta me.

ahah, yeah i know what you mean. It's terrible when my phone just happens to be right near my head and it starts vibrating. lol, though now whenever i get a text i get like a mini shock from it :P

I'm thinking a skrillex song would definitely get you up though you may not be in the best mood waking up to it..

agreed  i used to use a baby laugh (4-5 years ago) it was very funny at the beginning, but 1-2 months later i didn't even want to hear it

now i'm using MX as my alarm tone.

^Well that's dangerous: what if you end up not liking MX anymore ?! :worried2:

hmmm i don't think so :laugh3:

I use Radioheads Nice dream as my alarm clock.. :nice: It's a nice song to start the day with. :)

I just have the radio programmed

I just love the fact that they always tell a very crappy joke around the time I have to wake up

The best thing I find is the radio and so you get a different song each time..or I use one of the alarms on my phone which starts off quiet which helps alot! :laugh3:

This is what I do.

And it works pretty nicely

After the ETIAW release had that one as my alarm quite a while. It was so loud I had to jump out of bed to put if of, while being pissed of. And go back to bed of course.
