i play acoustic guitar and a little bit of keyboard. And a few other instruments but i would gladly be a roadie for you guys. :lol:

If you want to do vocal and guitar that would be great :D. I want everyone to be comfortable with the instrument they're most comfortable with so you can pick and choose any instrument you wish :nice:

 

We basically cover a song and send our individual parts to me or Splintercell and we'll compile it :P

If need be, I along with a few other people, and you if you want, can tab out the songs.

We could also break off into groups (there are enough of us) and do a couple of songs, if that strikes anyone's fancy.

I guess whoever produces could be leaders. Just for conviencance sake.

 

Speaking of which, I have Garage Band on my iPad. I'm not very good at mixing stuff, but I can do it if the need arises.:)

I do have Sony Vegas and Adobe Audition, but I'm no where an audio genius :P just video.

 

For now let's just keep compiling oh who's in and wants to play what and we'll go on from there. I'll make a Facebook group now.

Depending on the things I've seen in this forum, I'd say splintercell37 is definitely one of the most experienced producers here, so if he accepts, I suggest he's one of the leaders.

 

I'd say we should do it the following way: We find some "leaders" or producers or whatever (I guess 2 or 3 should be enough) and those producers tell us some of their ideas what they want to do, e.g. a rock song or something alternative or whatever. Then the musicians can say "I want to participate in this song" blahblah and the producers can tell whether they want them to join their song or not.

 

By the way, if we don't have enough people who can do the producing-thing; I'm still learning this stuff, but I could do some of this work.

Also, something I think could be interesting is if we interpreted our own versions of the viva la vida demos... songs that never came to light... Try and stick close to the real versions, but give our selves room to manouver

I was thinking of doing this too, but for everybody to just send a sample of a sound that they can make with things around the house.

Also, since there are a fair few of us interested I could potentially let someone else do piano, my main preference would be to sing... the more the merrier I say so i would give up piano to let someone else in on a song if that maes sense... thats if I was chosen for piano

Right on! I've been playing guitar for 2 years now, not the best though :P . We record off my brother's ipod or my mom's iphone, we don't have a high quality recording system. :lol: I can't sing but i am enthusiastic.

 

 

Meaning I can only sing Us Against The World, Lost, LITii, Clocks :D

Well we can break up into teams seeing as how we have more hen enough people for each instrument. But if we do decide to stay as one large band you will stay as lead vocals and you can hope on piano if we need you :nice:

Haha enthusiasm! Not a problem, do whatever floats your boat. I'm sure we canfix the noise from the iPod recordings but just make sure your in a nice quiet room to make it easier for us and this way we don't loose any sound quality even though the iPod mics aren't the best.

 

If you can buy a sterio to 3.5mm adapter and a 2-way 3.5mm cable, you can record right from your guitar! It's not expensive at all and the cable comes in handy (trust me). It should be around $10

Also if you do decide you want to become part of this...experiment, please join the Facebook Group as it helps me and everyone else keep tabs and track and logistics and data and....stuff.
