They said as they played Paradise the second time they had asked specially for the Stand Up To Cancer performance to be recorded in Sweden. But the only one I can found that has been broadcasted was filmed in France...

 

If anyone have a broadcast of the Swedish recording please post so I can see it, if not Chris lied to all the Swedish fans... :(

They indeed picked the French recording, but haven't shown any official recording of the Swedish performance, sadly :(

I think they chose the French one cause it had the extra Xylobands.. it gave a prettier image to look at?

I have to say I was majorly disappointed. I guess they decided it looked better with 80.000 people and not 30.000 :(

No offense, guys, although your being upset is understandable, there's no need to go all over the place complaining about it. There must be, almost certainly, some good reason why they made this or that choice. Whatever that was, if the benefit underlying purpose was reached, that's enough ;)

Maybe there were technical difficulties and they had to do it again?

Maybe the Sweden video didn't come out the way they wanted so they decided for a do over in France?

Yeah, it was slightly disappointing at first but I'd rather prefer they're satisfied with the work they put out. Calling Chris a liar is a bit of an overreaction.

 

And it also gave us a sneak peek of what the coming DVD will look like!

Quite possibly it wasn't their decision. Maybe there were technical issues with the video or something. Or someone other than the band liked Paris more. There are loads of reasons things might've gone down the way they did, I'm sure they didn't do it to hurt your feelings. :)

I think that being quite so blunt about it is not the best option. Perhaps I live in a 'butterflies and fairies' happy world, but it would be nicer just to state your opinion in not quite such a combative way!

 

I was at Stockholm and I can understand why the OP is upset that our version wasn't used (although I'm not personally) but I think there were probably various reasons that it wasn't used. If I were Coldplay (or anyone involved with decision making) I'd probably want it with 80,000 Xylobands as well. Smile everyone - be happy, not grumpy! :P

This. I don't think we should automatically post threads calling any of Coldplay liars. I honestly don't think they lie to their fans, I think they probably chose the version they thought would look best.
