STUPID IPOD!!!

My post just said "Leviticus..."

It was referring to his post, that's why your post was deleted.

I say you should do as you wish providing it doesn't harm anybody else. And if your sexuality is harming the rest of your life because other people can't accept it, I see no reason why you shouldn't bring it to the forefront to break down barriers. Heterosexual sexuality is everywhere. We're just more used to it. Majority of advertising is sex obsessed, straight people walk around holding hands and sometimes more, when straight men are together they all too often speak about sex, when straight women are together I presume there isn't a ban on sex discussions. We are just used to this status quo, that is all. It would be weird if there wasn't a very noticeable gay scene given how big sex is.

I was just about to say that, though technically it's just a place where guys can 'hang out with all the boys' and 'find many ways to have a good time'.

Aint nothing gay about that...

the YMCA here got bulldozed to make way for a new supermarket

what does that say about homosexuality?

nothing?

Well the YMCA isn't actually gay, but if it was it could be a metaphor for being careful when turning your back.

Trust me, it aint gay. Just because the Village People sing about it doesn't mean it is... apart from the Navy.

Anyway, it's all based on Christian principles.

YMCA was a novelty song, the lead singer wasn't even gay. What will be interesting is the first person to sing a song about same-sex love, for example Will Young came out as gay but was still singing and has been singing songs about "Oooh girl..." "Love you bb gurrll" etc. instead of saying "boy", now can you imagine how strange that will seem at first? Would record companies ever allow it to happen, when a lot of pop music is targeted at younger audiences and there is still a stigma about same-sex relationships being too complicated to explain to children.

It will be interesting indeed. Eventually you'd imagine it'd be the case that gay songs would be in the charts but gay pop songs would need to be subtle. Straight sex in pop songs is supposed to be subtle though, I guess, and isn't always, but I imagine if it wanted to then pop music could play a big part in pushing gay rights by sensitively bringing homosexuality into the minds of people who listen to the music. I mean, female pop musicians have been kissing other female pop musicians for a while now so perhaps we are moving towards something more on the grounds of a song...

Hang on, I kissed a girl and I liked it. There's a gay song.

(money can be made on homosexuality, so pop music won't pass up the chance to cash in).
