Jk it was me, I love you, I knew I made it obvious but omfg I was so excited to get you :cheesy:

Alright, here's my mixtape review!

I kept writing this almost all the way through, leaving the computer for a break, and absentmindedly unplugging the computer only to realize what I have just done. :disappointed: But I'm not gonna bore you with bullshit excuses, especially as I've had plenty of time to write this apart from this weekend. My apologies, and I only hope that this review can kinda make up for it.

---

Alright, first things first, here's the album cover for all these songs,

wcfhqr.png

Pretty straightforward hehe, but the heart makes me think it's a girl I already know well. Marie? Maybe Violet or Kat? Hmm. My bets are on Marie.

This tape was 14 tracks long. No issues with information still staying on  Some of the tracks were in .mp3 and some were in .m4a which made it a little hard to play seamlessly on one program, but who cares really, it's the most minor thing in the world and I fixed it quickly.

Oops sorry

Track 1:

Simple tapping of piano keys with some strumming of an electric guitar fading in which sounds really pretty. Soon we've got a steady beat with the aid of a drum machine, and somehow it sounds cohesive despite the fact that it is tinny and the piano and guitar sound delicate and gentle. Then, out of nowhere, a distorted, deep-voiced male singer who sounds like he's from some EDM genre comes in! Now when I first heard this song, I was like "aw man, this song was so pretty and then some dubstep guy comes in to ruin the atmosphere of the whole song" but then I liked it more and more, and now I can't see the song as any other way but that singer. And it makes the song all the better because of it. Kinda weird, huh? Good track

Alt-j  I had to stop myself from putting the whole freaking album on there so I narrowed it down to two songs. This one is called 'Intro' so yeh. Thought that was appropriate.

Track 2:

I fucking love this song. I'm not even gonna sit here and describe it. I don't care. I don't care at all. Oh my god

heh. :)

Track 3:

Folky track, simple guitar strumming that basically makes up the whole song and a strong male voice. This is definitely Marie. I can totally imagine her playing this on her guitar. "Darling... come morning... I'll be gone" The way he sings it actually made me a bit sad, and I very rarely feel the emotion from lyrics. I think I'd listen to it again. It evokes a bit of sadness and nostalgia from me and that's pretty cool

Woah, I expected you to like this one a little less, but I'm glad you liked it so much! His name's Frank Turner and this one song has this particular power over me. I associate with it a lot, I feel like I'm the same kinda person, I wanna move places all the time, and I have trouble with committment yet he puts it in such a touching/sad way. Sigh.

Track 4:

Ahh, is this Lovesong? Nah it's a cover of it. The singer has a younger, more teenage-like voice than the other deep and strongly-sounding male voices we've heard so far, think of that guy from Owl City or something hahaha. But not that annoying though. It's sorta amusing when he sings "Whenever I'm alone with you, you make me feel like I am young again."

I like it. Don't think it can beat the original though.

Yeh. Death Cab for Cutie cover. Of course it doesn't beat the original, but I thought I'd share :)

Track 5:

Wow, this is so indie. Male and female duet, with a sort of piano rock playing in the background and then that kind of explosive Arcade Fire-like indie rock playing in the chorus. It's not really interesting, sorry. It just feels too typical.

Funny you mention arcade fire, cause this band comes from the same city. They're Stars.

Track 6:

Is this the xx? Could be. I haven't really listened to their second album all the way through (gasp!). Could be just about anyone really, it's a female singer and all sorts of indie rock female singers come to mind when I hear her voice. I'm going for the xx though. Good song. I think I would've appreciated it more a few years ago though, and I'm almost mad at myself for that hahaha. Right now it just brings me back to when I was in junior high and I wanted to be a little hipster :wacky: That outro near the end is nice. I'm a sucker for a song that ends with all the instruments slowly dragging out. I think all songs should be like that, to slowly pull your soul out of the song instead of harshly ending it with a guitar note or a drumbeat.

Nope! That's The Jezabels and shame on you for not recognizing her pfft. Just kidding, I knew you liked their sound before so I put that song on there.

Track 7:

Ooh, this is so French, and not just because of the singing  A pretty, romantic male singer-songwriter song, harmonica and all. Pfft, I've stopped studying French when I went back to high school so unfortunately almost any understanding I could've had of this song just melted away from me :bigcry: What a little gem though

Supernova, by Yves Marchand  It's a cute little love song :)

Track 8:

Cool guitar riff. And then a sort of tribal... drums... whaaat? What language is this?? Hahaha, cowbell :awesome:. Could be an African language, no idea. There's a bit of English in the chorus though. This all works so well with the sort of big, U2-ish rock sound that's incorporated in there. This is so cool

Amadou & Mariam featuring Santigold! Fun thing about this band is that they are a couple but they're both blind and they're just great musicians. You can't even tell they can't see anything when they perform, they're incredible.

Track 9:

Dreamy, but loud and focused, atmospheric song with a female singer and rapid drumbeat. I've heard this song before, for sure. But I can't remember at all where. This flows so nicely with the last track btw, well done!

I'm not sure if I'd listen to it again, but I remember this track, almost to the point of knowing all the lyrics, I wanna know who sings it :bomb:

23 by Blonde Redhead.

Track 10:

Woah, very in-your-face compared to the mood of the last 9 or so tracks. Electronic track with a steady pounding drumbeat similar to what a hangover must be like, I assume (but not that annoying! :P)

In the chorus, it gets even louder, just an explosion of synths and loud... glistening...
everything
. If track 7 was a small, sweet, expensive pastry and track 3 was a homemade bowl of soup, this track is injecting pure cotton candy into your veins. It's cool but I don't really think much of it.

Crystal Castles with the singer of The Cure, Robert Smith. Thought I'd make a small reference to number 4 :)

Track 11:

Sleepyhead by Passion Pit. For some reason I can very much enjoy the cheesyness of this. I've seen them open for Muse twice, and I'm probably gonna check them out at Coachella. So much Passion Pit and I only really know a few songs? I should check out more of their stuff, but when I saw them a lot of their songs sounded the same so I dunno :huh2:

Ahhh that wasn'T in any of your last.fm accounts. Shit. oh well.

Track 12:

Animal Collective? Oh, no. This is too grand to be by them. WoaoaAHAAAahaAHAHAHA. Every indie song has to have a WOWHAhaWOWHAhaAA. This is so indie I can't take it :bomb: We've got loud, swirling synths, crashing cymbals that you can almost feel slamming against your ear, a simple electric guitar riff there just to amplify the intensity of it all. You could totally freefall to this music. Alright, I doubt I'd listen to this again though.

Well you seemed to love Midnight City by M83 on your last.fm so I thought I'd show you another song from their last album :)

Track 13:

Yes. Good. I like

Oh wait, this is Alt-J! I mean I haven't heard this song before, but they're singing "a wave, an awesome wave". I remember hearing a handful of singles and just being like "bleh, sounds like a duller version of Radiohead" and not giving any attention since but this is pretty good! Should also try to give them a visit at Coachella.

Btw their band name makes me lol.

△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△
and in that moment i swear everything was infinite
△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△△

Hehe I agree with how silly their bandname is but I just can't with this band ok

Track 14:

Aww man, final track. Also sounds like AnCo, to me the last 3 tracks all sounded like an AnCo track at the beginning and then they diverged into their own way. This one could pass the most for an AnCo track throughout. I'm sure it's not, though. The singing is familiar. Grand and Arcade Fire-y, with some quiet tweaking synths at times. Those little noises at ~2:45 really make the song for me. Not entirely my cup of tea, but like so many other of these tracks, I feel so familiar to them, I want to know who sings them, it's driving me crazy :bomb:

The Shins. A single from their latest album :)

---

Overall, I enjoyed the mixtape, all of the songs were nice to listen to, but I think 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and maybe 13 were the ones that drew my attention the most. Like I said, if you would've sent this tape to me a few years before, I would've adored it front to back, and for that reason I'm a little mad at myself hehe, but it was nice all the same.

Thank you!

(Marieee I know it's youuu nananananana :snobby:

and if it's not then I kinda made myself look foolish hehe :disappointed:)

Heheheheheheheheheheheheh

You're welcome

Mine was hosted on mediafire but it got removed so if anyone wants to download it, just say, I'll upload it somewhere else :wacky:

First of all, I’m sorry if waiting for the review was long for you but I always take 1 week or so to listen to the music and write a review I’m happy with (for reminder, I was amongst those who didn’t get a link right away, I got the mixtape link 1 week after or so).

So into the (long ) review! The tape is called Follow the Sun and contains 18 tracks named by the maker without special meaning (as written in the read me file). A pretty cover and a read me file (more to that in the conclusion) are added to music. So let’s go to the track by track review:

01.Punk!

What a way to start the mixtape! Yes, indeed, it’s a punk song: drums, heavy guitars, a man singing fast and screaming at some moments. He also sings with a light accent on some words and it’s like he uses a walkie-talkie when he sings the “verses”. But, unlike someone said in her/his review about punk singer who can’t sing or something like that, this man can because his voice is higher several times during the song (it’s like sing fast, higher voice, scream). I’m not sure if this song denounces/condemns something but in the “chorus” he says autistic radio. It isn’t the standard verse/chorus type of song.

02. Girl and Deer

It’s a pop/rock song, a man is singing. It begins slowly with electric guitar, piano, drums, bass and the voice of a man. Then it all goes up in volume if I can explain it that way. I also recognized tambourine at some point. Towards the end of the song it has whistling, as well as a choir effect added in. It reminds me of a Canadian band I listen to on another mixtape exchange, Hey Rosetta! If it is the same band I really should check them more out! The song sticks in the head not in an annoying way! First keeper!

03. Motion Picture Soundtrack

Two voices, a man and a woman. They are accompanied by an acoustic guitar until the half of the song or so when a drumming instrument comes in. The 2 voices go very well together. The mix of everything is beautiful: a shiver down your spine kind of song (even if I don’t understand all of the lyrics). Second keeper!

04. Grandfather’s Song

Acoustic country song sang by a man with a typical country voice, named Steve according to the song! This song didn’t really catch my attention :\

05. Twice

Ok, this track made me think of several things: first, I thought it had a Black Keys vibe mixed with electro. Then on another listening, the guitar(s) made me think of “Shout The Runner” by Kasabian. Then on another listening, it reminded me (the music and the voice of the man) of the theme song of the tv show “Suits”: "Greenback Boogie" by Ima Robot.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3TamoqoJNM]Suits (TV) - Theme Song [lyrics in video] - YouTube[/ame]

So can a song be a mix of all that or I am a bit disturbed? However, the more I listen to it, the more I lean towards the third option, if you can call it that… Anyway, it’s an intriguing track and it’s a nice mixture of bluesy/rock and electro/synth (which is only present on the bridge in the song).

06. Spirits

A soft acoustic guitar is playing by a male singer with a soothing voice. The acoustic guitar’s music is the same through all the song and at the end some electric guitar is added. It’s like a chill out song, a bit like Jack Johnson’s quiet songs, you imagine listening when you’re walking next to the beach (yeah, I don’t live in a place where beaches are!).

07. Oldschool

Jazzy/bluesy song that makes you want to dance and oh well, it’s his purpose, if I understand correctly, teaching you to do the mess around (I don’t know if it’s write properly and I don’t want to google to ruin the game)! A man is singing. Another keeper!

08. Me is the Harmonica

It’s a folk/irish like song: drums, accordion, violins, guitars. A man is singing and in the chorus he is accompanied by someone.

09. Treading water

Electro beginning with distorted voice then a woman's voice steps in. The distorted voice appears also at other moments in the track. It’s an electro song but it has a r’n’b vibe to it, I don’t know if it is the way the woman sings or the music itself or both! She also has a light accent when she sings “water”. It’s a catchy song.

10. Organs!

Another catchy song that makes you wanna dance from the beginning. It’s a soft rock track mixed with synths and sounds of child’s game (well that’s what it makes me think of!). Towards the end, it’s like the synths player is going cray-cray on his instrument, hitting the keys randomly  The track makes me think of The Strokes. Nice one!

11. Irishman

A folk quiet song, the man’s voice is quite deep and whispery. Two acoustic guitars are only there to accompany him all along the song. A feminine voice enters in the chorus but it’s very subtle (I haven’t heard it the first few times I’ve listened to it!) :nice: Then, towards the end, the sound of the feminine voice is turned up, you can hear her clearly. So who is this Irish man?

12. NOT Alicia Keys

Electric guitars mixed with synths, a man is singing. A woman’s voice is there at some moments during the song too. There is a tambourine present. It makes me think of a more electric version of Scissor Sisters! Far away from Alicia Key’s “Girl Is On Fire” :D Another catchy song.

13. Bare Feet

Piano intro then a man begins to sing (oh, this voice ). He has an accent. The first part is only piano-voice then the song slowly goes up in emotion with the instruments: first the piano is more energetic (it’s probably not the appropriate word but I can’t think of another one!), then other instruments (drums, guitars, bass) kick in with nice choir effect in the middle of that! A keeper. Sings “On another love, another love, all my tears have been used up”

14. Australia

A woman is singing with a lovely voice. She’s playing with her voice: high, low, doing a choir effect, etc. When she sings “how can we just stay/say…” she made me think of Lilly Allen! It’s an uplifting and relaxing song and voice. It’s electro genre. I have the impression there is an accordion playing in the track, am I right or is it some electro sound? So, is the singer an Australian girl?

15. Oxford

I already have heard this song but I can put a name on the band or the song! It’s a soft rock/chill rock music, a man with an accent and a slightly deep voice is singing. I like the guitars, the different sounds they make and how they are put together, excuse me if I’m not very clear here! So, who is this Oxford band?

16. Punk! (Reprise)

A woman is singing, I already have heard her voice but I can’t remember who it is! It’s more the rock side of punk if such thing exists, compared to the first punk song! And I prefer this one (number 16)! It also has a bluesy vibe to it thanks to the way she sings sometimes and the music itself. Another keeper. No, I don’t give up this song :D

17. Indie Hipsters

Like the title says, it’s an indie track with a Beach Boys vibe to it (especially the guitar riffs from the chorus). It reminds me of a French band who sings in English and could make this kind of music but I freaking can’t remember their name (that’s helping you a lot, right )! I already have heard the whistling part in a commercial or some tv shows here. This whistling part is present several times during the song. Hands clapping are also present towards the end of the track. It’s a happy, relaxing song.

18. Follow The Sun

A folk type of song mixed with birds whistling’s sounds, harmonica, soft electric guitar, percussions. A man is singing to follow the sun and enjoy the present time, if I understand correctly. When he sings, he is only accompanied by the percussions and the guitar. The harmonica is added when he’s not singing.

N.B.: When I write “choir effect”, I mean the voice(s) you hear behind the singer (maybe it's his/her own voice, maybe others). I don’t know the proper word for it, sorry!

So to conclude this review, I would say that I liked very much the way the tape flows as well as the variety of genres you put in, and that after the first listening! For someone who had to make this fast, it is well done  So you weren’t my initial mixtape maker?

My favourites and ones I want to discover more are track: 2, 3, 7, 13, 16. And my absolute favourites, it was love at first listening, are number 3 and 13. Along the way, I got also hooked up by number 5, 10 and 12. Now I can’t wait to know who they are and hear other things from them

I'm going to keep your mixtape in my files, maybe other songs will grow on me, who knows!

To come back to the cover and the note:

- I like the cover of the mix, did you do it yourself? It’s like the girl in the drawing is escaping from her daily life by reading and I should by listening to this mix :nice:

- Thanks also for the note explaining your choices without saying too much. Plus, you seem to be a nice, bubbly person.

It was a nice escaping between various genres and voices, I had great times listening to your mixtape, thanks so much for it

(sorry about my absence omg)

Yes Wyrd, you are correct that I made it haha. This is actually the mixtape I made for the exchange prior to this one that never got reviewed, I was gonna make a new one when I found out like after the deadline about it (I didn't actually intend to participate in this) and said I would have it by the next night but got busy and sent in this one instead beause I promised to send one haha. I can't remember the tracklisting since it's been so long since I made it and haven't found it anywhere yet and can't figure out a couple of the songs based on the review so I'll try and find that and get the tracklisting and comments and such to you sometime today. :P

And the mixtape I got once again got eaten by the copyright thingies, so sorry to the person who made mine aaahhhh

Review-Review

My answer to Deidre's review. I was your partner. Everyone else beware, long+long=maybe too long ;)

First of all, I’m sorry if waiting for the review was long for you but I always take 1 week or so to listen to the music and write a review I’m happy with (for reminder, I was amongst those who didn’t get a link right away, I got the mixtape link 1 week after or so).

A pretty cover and a read me file (more to that in the conclusion) are added to music. So let’s go to the track by track review:

They actually have a special meaning (well, some), but I think they only make sense for me in the context of what I meant. I'll try to explain them.

This one is from a band I actually don't really know much about (doesn't happen often, I'm an absolute music-information-addict :D ). They are called "future of the left", the track is called "sheena is a t-shirt salesman" (probably in reference to a song by the Ramones called "sheena is a punk-rocker (me being show-off :D )). Last time I did an intro that was nice and gentle, so this time I looked for the opposite.

That track name is probably the most uncreative I could have come up with, because it's just the name of the band reversed (or whatever). They are called Boy & Bear and this one is called "Feeding Line" from their debut "moon fire". I absolutely agree that it's catchy in a non-catchy way. And if they remind you of Hey Rosetta, I probably should check them out :)

It's by a duo called The Civil Wars from America (which are sadly now on hiatus as I understand :( ). This one is from the soundtrack for the "Hunger Games" movie, and I really love their voices together. So nice (they even make me like Taylor Swift, because the lead single from the soundtrack was Safe & Sound, which featured them and Taylor. And if I start to like Taylor Swift, then they must be quite good :D )

04. Grandfather’s Song

Acoustic country song sang by a man with a typical country voice, named Steve according to the song! This song didn’t really catch my attention :\

It's more of a personal liking than a musical liking, because this one is a man who calls himself "Seasick Steve". He has a quite unusual career, being a hobo and more of a traveling worker I believe for much of his life until he started his professional career around the age of 60, and I don't know why, but I just like this guy. He's old, wears tops without sleeves and sometimes drinks whiskey on stage, so I normally would dislike him, but somehow… When he plays this song live, he always searches in the audience for a young girl/woman, brings her on stage and sings this for her. I don't know how, but he manages to do this (with 72 years!) so polite and gentlemanlike while it could be so uncomfortable and pedolike… Ok, enough. If you want, search for Seasick Steve and "Walkin Man" on youtube ;)

He's also normally more raw and bluesy-electric than this song.

The music critics call them psychedelic (which is pretty wide term :D, and anyhow, don't listen to them), and it's Tame Impala from Australia with their song "Elephant". It's not the sort of genre I normally listen to, so I was equally interested in them and only found them because of this track. And because the tag "psychedelica" can mean, whomever you ask, pretty different things, I'd say you are right and not "disturbed" :) Can't say really why I called it "Twice", except to hint at the fact that I made two tapes and one still needs reviewing...

Me neither (concerning the beaches) :(

But this one is from probably one of the most influential persons regarding my musical journey so far (which is not so long :D). He is John Frusciante, former guitar player for the Chili Peppers, but has always been also very prolific with his solo efforts. I love his voice (strange to say that as a guy? :D ), and listening to his records is quite a ride, as he has done electronica, punk-rock, rock, acoustic things, experimental things (psychedelic :D ) and so on… He's probably the reason why I do listen to such different things.

The track itself is called Spirits because I think he actually believes in them (he has quite unusual religious views) and he can look quite like Jesus sometimes (long curly hair, naked torso, intense expression :D )

07. Oldschool

Jazzy/bluesy song that makes you want to dance and oh well, it’s his purpose, if I understand correctly, teaching you to do the mess around (I don’t know if it’s write properly and I don’t want to google to ruin the game)! A man is singing. Another keeper!

This one was a gamble, you could have hated or liked it, but I'm happy you liked it. The guy is Ray Charles, and you probably even now him (just google "Hit the Road Jack"). To dispel the one-hit-wonder attitude concerning him and just to do something really strange but quite uplifting, I just put this on. It's really called "Mess Around" ;)

08. Me is the Harmonica

It’s a folk/irish like song: drums, accordion, violins, guitars. A man is singing and in the chorus he is accompanied by someone.

Go to the other side of the Atlantic (these guys are from America :D ) and you find the The Decemberists. Rock mixed with some more traditional things to mix it up.

I didn't want a straight guitars mixtape, so I chose AlunaGeorge, a young and upcoming duo from London, which I like. They haven't really put out that much so far, and are probably one of the more radio-acts on this tape. Because I thought you would probably be more drawn to the guitar-side of music I just had some electronic things in here as a minority for diversity.

Nice one!

Can't really tell you anything about them, except they are called Ball Park Music and the track is Fence Sitter. A product of my recent obsession with Australia. Better don't tell them the child-game-thing :D

Quite a dancy song, and I can really see why you thought of the Strokes.

He's a folk singer called Benjamin Francis Leftwich (great name). The song is called Atlas Hands, and I probably am a really bad listener because I still haven't noticed the female voice :D

(I'm not even sure if he is from Ireland, I just took a guess. but it would fit)

Exactly that Alicia Keys Song I was thinking of :D This track is actually called "On Fire" and by a band called "Loon Lake". From Australia probably, but other than that I don't know them any better. But seems like Australia has hit a never with you :)

This one you'll probably hear sometime later again, because it's from Tom Odell, a young pianist gaining some real momentum right now, leading up to his debut record "Long Way Down" out somewhere before this summer. He always plays with bare feet and then taps/kicks with his feet on the ground (if he plays without a drum set), and that's weirdly the first thing I thought of when choosing a name for this song :D On the cover of this EP is a photo of his former girlfriend (he says he used it without really thinking), and now he sells merch and shirts with her on them, which is actually quite weird :D

Really like him, and I just thought that if you like Coldplay, this one could be right (since even some of the press compare him sometimes to Chris Martin, because he's also blond ..).

I don't know the woman, but this track is from an Australian artist called "Flume", someone I'm obsessed with right now. And I think it's more him playing with her sampled voice than she, otherwise she would have some amazing non-human vocal capabilities ;)

I'm probably guilty of an unhealthy amount of promotion for this band (I already had them on my last mixtape) and this track is called "Worry Fill My Heart" from the Oxford guys of "Spring Offensive". They do really incredible videos, really recommend searching for them on youtube (of course ignoring all the taliban videos that inevitably come up when search for this term :D ).

Really like what they do, quite clever at times and always energetic (at least they are playing their music).

16. Punk!

It's the Noisettes who somehow blend rock with pop and other things. Well they did at least (this one is from their debut "What's the Time Mister Wolf"), they are sadly the only band I've ever lost interest in because of the direction they are going into. If you compare this track with their latest record, which is still nice, it's just somehow for me "better" and more raw. Really funny live band at that time, because their singer Shingai Shinowa (never in the world have I spelled that correctly) is really energetic live and they had a drummer who looked slightly like a homeless guy (no offense!). Fully bearded, with wild hair, he played like he looked, and together with this beautiful singer and their cool guitarist they looked like the most improbable combination of people possible. Now even the drummer has left the band and has been replaced with a decent, but (perfect analogy for their musical direction) unassuming one. But don't take too much of my pessimist prejudice, better judge for yourself if you want to discover more of them :)

You maybe mean Phoenix? It's Lets Go Surfing by the Drums, again from America. The title is just a mock of all the people using the term hipster (which I find so meaningless) and who would probably apply it to this band :D

Just a nice song to sum up the tape and an ideal suggestion for an title for this tape. And this time I cheated and actually left the title of the song unaltered ;)

N.B.: When I write “choir effect”, I mean the voice(s) you hear behind the singer (maybe it's his/her own voice, maybe others). I don’t know the proper word for it, sorry!

You could call them background singers/vocals ;)

So to conclude this review, I would say that I liked very much the way the tape flows as well as the variety of genres you put in, and that after the first listening! For someone who had to make this fast, it is well done  So you weren’t my initial mixtape maker?

I was the one jumping in because I had considered so many songs already for my first tape (and had to leave so many out) and had so much fun with the last mixtape exchange that I didn't anybody to be excluded. Thanks for the flattery :)

(it also was a nice excuse for delaying the studying I had to do :D)

I can't take any credit for this cover except for the text that I put on their (I suck at drawing). The image is actually by an amazing Italian illustrator/artist named Emiliano Ponzi who I think does great artwork.

- Thanks also for the note explaining your choices without saying too much. Plus, you seem to be a nice, bubbly person.

It was a nice escaping between various genres and voices, I had great times listening to your mixtape, thanks so much for it

I'm just happy that you liked it because in that short time that I had it could have gone quite wrong, so it's nice to know that I could actually help make this exchange more fun for everybody involved.

Plus you were faster than my initial partner in reviewing (disapproving look into unknown direction :( ), thanks for that and being so receptive about the music I threw at you and taking the time for such a great review. That makes it worth it :)

(Am I bubbly? probably :D )

Some nice stuff there :surprised:

(I had to write my comments again because I close the window by accident, so annoying :veryangry2:)

Well, that said, I’m your partner, Alien Radio: Marie in real life, Deirdre here. I had a great time putting these songs together and creating the cover for you!

Oh dear, you killed me with the creepy German man, you even made it a story with the tracks that followed    (yeah, 3 lol smileys!). You had fun writing it, I had fun reading it! I will keep your review and when I’m down I will read it and it will cheer me up!

I’m really happy you enjoyed the mixtape, your challenge wasn’t easy: surprise me. Well, I tried and it went rather well, except for the acoustic guitars and the creepy German man (it wasn’t meant to scare you, sorry :p) I hope you will appreciate the other songs of artists you liked.

in bold above: mistakes I corrected and something I forgot to write... It's really time for me to go to bed!

My comments are in bold.

I'm late again, but here's my quite long review:

The first thing that fell into my sight when I got the tape was that all of the tracks had written „John, Jane Doe“ in the artist spot. :surprised: I didn't know what that should mean, so I googled it and I found out that the names "John Doe" for males and "Jane Doe" for females are used as placeholder names for a party whose true identity is unknown or must be withheld in a legal action, case, or discussion. At least, that's what wikipedia says. I really liked this, my partner must be creative.

Well I’m not really creative : instead of “unknown”, I thought I used these names as synonyms because it’s used to call people who are without identity in investigation for example (I heard it in tv shows). I didn’t know it also mean what you wrote ;)

Maybe a native speaker can tell us what it all means?

All of the tracks also had an artwork, which was a pic of a radio, as well as some music notes, drawn in Paint and „A mixtape for Alien Radio“ written around it. I can't upload the artwork though, as I didn't get it as a special file.

I didn’t know you can put a file with the cover in the mixtape file (until I had my mixtape maker's file), I keep it in mind for the next time ;) I did the “drawing” and added some font. I don’t know why but when I thought of an picture to put in place of the cover, your username inspired me a graffiti style cover with a radio in it! Here is the link to see the picture, if you're curious ;)

Now let's get onto the tracks:

  1. An acoustic intro, some aery ooh-oohs and a soft male voice singing „We are only two, but it's not hard to do“ in the chorus. Then the electric guitar enters with some cool riffs. There's also a scratchy violin, that I especially liked, a cool percussion/drums riff and maybe some aerophones/horns? Anyway, a really nice, pleasing and simple track, a good opener. I'm looking forward to know who this is.

It’s a French band called Revolver with “Birds In Dm”. It is the opener of their first album called “Music For A While”. I don’t think there are horns in the song.
They have a classical music background they mixed with pop, so on this first album they called their style “pop de chambre”. And, that’s what made them stand out and well known. The second album is more pop/rock though, a bit less violins/cellos.

  2. An instrumental one. Bluesy and jazzy guitar riffs, a synth and again interesting percussion, which definetely doesn't consist of only drums. The whole track feels like some modern jazz and I really like it because I've been getting more into jazz lately. :wacky:

It’s the Black Keys with “Black Mud” from their album “Brothers”. Man, I can’t get enough of this album, I don’t know how many times I played it :bomb: You should definitely listen to this record if this song pleased you!

  3. Acoustic guitar, male singer singing „Fallen angel, a broken arrow, she come for me and eased my trouble mind.“ It's actually quite upbeat and it feels very britpop and anthemic. I don't know what this is, but it's nice.

You guess right, it’s an English artist: Noel Gallaghers’s band with “AKA… Broken Arrow”. I listen to his first album without his brother a lot too

  4. Again an acoustic one. The lyrics are not in English, I don't understand them. I think it's French, but I'm not sure as I don't speak French. The mood of this one is very cheery and optimistic, judging by the melody, the clappings and tambourine or whatever that is. The song goes nowhere actually, the same cheery beats stay the same the whole 3 minutes. It might be a good song for the summer heats.

Another right guess, it’s a French artist: Tété with “Petite Chanson”. It’s about a song you like but you’re tired of having in your head :D He’s kind of unique because his lyrics are written like poetry with words that aren’t really current in French songs (well, I don't know a lot who do that!). The album, the song is extracted from, hightlights the bluesy/jazzy side of his style (well, that’s what I think). Man, I can’t believe I follow his adventures since 10 years :wacky: I'm sad you didn’t like it, but that's the risk!

  5. This one features only a man, which sounds quite old and black, who is with his weary and crying voice singing over a simple acoustic guitar. I actually liked his voice. My favourite part was: „o-la-dum-ba-boom-ba-bum-bwrrrrrrwip-bi-ba-bum“ in the end.

Boo, not nice :( Well, you don’t like the voice, you don’t like it! What can I do! And I sense acoustic guitar style is not really your cup of tea :p Good to know for your next mixtape maker ;) Another French artist who isn’t old (I think he’s in around thirty) nor black called Anis. It’s “Nobody Knows You”, a cover of Jimmy Cox/Bessie Smith. Sorry for torturing your ears!

  6. A female vocalist. I really really like her voice. Actually it sounds a bit familiar too me, but I still don't know who it is. The music is also more interesting than the previous acoustic guitar-only songs. There's some synth-generated sounds and acoustics too, I can't really define everything I hear. There are also claps in the second part of the song. It's quite upbeat. The only thing that I don't like in this one is the „fyyyoooo“ sound in the background during the chorus. I don't know what it is, but it's quite annoying.

She’s from Australia and is called Sia. Oh man, her voice :bomb: The song is “Playground” and it’s about still wanting to be a child, so maybe that’s where the noise in the chorus comes from (child’s game, maybe). I had to search for that sound because it didn’t bother me  At first I wanted to put “Soon We’ll Be Found” but it didn’t fit the flow in my opinion. But hear how beautiful it is (and to make it up for the previous track :p):

  7. Ohh, this reminds me a lot of Beirut, who I love
There's piano or synth, there's violin, maybe harmonica? Lol I suck at defining instruments. But it's very nice, especially the vocals, which consist of a male lead singer, and female and male back singers, might even be a choir. My favourite so far, I'm really looking forward to seeing who this is.

I’m glad you liked it, it’s from a Northern Irish artist called The Divine Comedy aka Neil Hannon. The song is called “Tonight We Fly”. I think there are no back singers but it’s Neil's voice in different tones. And I think it’s maybe a clarinet, it doesn’t sound like an harmonica to me but I may be wrong! It’s such an uplifting and happy song, I fly when I hear it :D

  8. This one's quite fast. Piano and a male singer repeating „Would you like to know how we could feel/should feel; I do, I do, I do“ - the lyrics are a bit cheesy. But the song in all is very interesting, especially the structure and the change of the fast and slow bits in the second part of the song.

I hesitate to put this song because of the repeating and a bit cheesy lyrics. But, I decided to add it because I really liked the music/melody, so catchy! It’s a band based in Belgium (there record company is located there) and composed by an English singer/guitar player, a Swedish drummer and a French bass player. They're called Puggy and the song is “I Do”.

  9. Soft, cute piano and A CREEPY GERMAN MAN singing something on German which I can only partly understand. He's actually not signing, but talking in this voice:
Wow this is scary. D: But the piano-only music is really nice. Then in the middle of the song he starts actually singing, something about die Kinder but remaining in his scary tone. The end features him repeating My Herz brennt. I'm not sure how to feel about this one, but it's definetely scary. I'm scared to listen to this again

 Well, I guess, you’re not used to hear that kind of deep voice, metal voice! But at least, you liked the piano :D It is a German metal band, Rammstein, with the piano version of « Mein Herz Brennt ». The original is this one. Beware the heavy guitars added to the voice, if you choose to listen to it :D (but there also are lovely violins in it!) The theme of the song is nightmare, so, from your feeling, the voice fits perfectly  I love so much the piano version, I had to put it in! The voice of Till, the singer, doesn’t creep me out! And, I promise, he is not creepy… only on stage

  10. This one starts quite creepy too. The intro sounds like it could be from some war-themed movie. But then, guess who comes… A CREEPY GERMAN MAN. This one is luckily slightly less creepier than the previous one. The song is less than 2 minutes long and there's not much in it. Feels quite mystic.

It’s a metal/indus German band called Oomph! with “Das Weisse Licht (Refraction)”. Dero, the singer, has a more “malleable” voice than the previous one. His voice is sexy to me! Check this jazzy version of Depeche Mode’s “Policy Of Truth” with his side project, What About Bill?

  11. A church bell and monster noises in the background. D: This tape is starting to get a horror movie feel. D: This one luckily doesn't feature a creepy german man, F*CK YEA. The singer is repeating Run, boy, run!. They're trying to catch you. PLEASE LET THEM NOT BE THE CREEPY GERMAN MEN. At this point I don't know if I should really run or stay and review the tape. There's a lot of instruments here and the vocals are really nice too. More Run, boy, runs. Orchestral outro with lots of percussion. I actually really like this one and I'm interested to hear who this is. :surprised:

 again at the creepy German man!
It’s a French artist called Woodkid aka Yoann Lemoine with “Run Boy Run”. A “friend” on lastfm made me discover this track and it was love at first listen. Plus the
is pretty intense too (Yoann is a videoclip director as well). With
    and
, the clips form a story (1st: Iron, 2nd: Run Boy Run, 3rd: I Love You). His first album came out a a week ago or so, check it out, it’s called “The Golden Age”!

  12. A simple violin, which adds to the dark, horror mood of the previous songs. „I always wanted to become a good, good boy. Now I know, I know, I know I am not.“ That makes me think - maybe if I had ran before I'd be a better boy? I don't know, but now I'm definetely staying here, in the middle of the night, in a comfortable chair, in front of my computer, drinking tea, reviewing this tape which gets more and more interesting with every song, while the snow is burying my house outside and I'm waiting for the creepy German men to knock on my door. I really like how this one is just this poor boy and his violin. Who is he? :surprised:

The creepy German man has fueled your imagination, hasn't he? :D It’s a French artist called Jil Is Lucky with "Supernovas". What more to say than I love this song!

  13. A nice change of mood after the previous tracks. Feels more happier and hopeful. A female singer whose voice is really interesting. It's at times too deep for a female singer, but at other times it's too high for a male singer. I love the piano riffs in this one.

It’s The Dresden Dolls with "Backstabber". Indeed, Amanda Palmer has a powerful, recognizable voice once you heard it. In the chorus though, you can hear the other member of this duet, Brian Viglione, sing. I like their universe musically, lyrically and visually.

  14. Wow, I didn't expect something like this. A punk-pop song? This reminds me of times when I used to listen to bands like Jimmy Eat World, Yellowcard, Simple Plan, Less Than Jake and others. If this was a 3 years younger me reviewing, I would love this, but the current me can't see any difference between this and other tracks of the same genre. But I must say that it flows really nice after the previous track.

It’s by My Chemical Romance (who slipt up recently :() with “Famous Last Words”. One of my favourite of "The Black Parade". Yeah, lots of people say it’s teenager music but I’m 27 and like their music, what can I do?

  15. For a second I thought that it's a return to the acoutic guitar songs from the beginning of the tape. But this one is more experimental, I love it. Actually there's not much acoustic guitar, it's more just weird percussion, drum machines and blips and blops, weird pauses and time signatures and vocals which remind me of Gnarls Barkley a bit.
It's very interesing. Might be even my favourite from the tape. :wacky: But I didn't like how it ended, the whole magic just stopped at once. And that was the end of the tape. At least the creepy German men still haven't knocked on my door. :sweatdrop:

(No, Till is not a creepy man, I promise :p)
It’s not a bit Gnarls Barkley, it is Gnarls Barkley! Cee Lo’s voice is very recognizable once you heard it. It’s called “Just A Thought” and it’s one of my favourite of the album “St Elsewhere”.

In the end, I must say that I enjoyed listening to this tape, it was really interesting, especially the second half. :wacky: I had a fun time reviewing it too, especially that creepy part. So, thanks for this tape, I'm definetely looking forward to hear who these artists are. Not every song was my cup of tea, but I still appreciate them. But those songs that were, I'll definetely come back to them a lot in the future. :nice: I can't wait to know who my partner is!

If someone took the bet, you would have been a bit richer  Indeed, we are not many here to like the creepy German man's band

Hooray for listening to industrial music from Germany! :wacky:

Your track listing in general looks good, though. (That's my favorite NGHFB song.)

So into the (long ) review! The tape is called Follow the Sun and contains 18 tracks named by the maker without special meaning (as written in the read me file). A pretty cover and a read me file (more to that in the conclusion) are added to music. So let’s go to the track by track review:

They actually have a special meaning (well, some), but I think they only make sense for me in the context of what I meant. I'll try to explain them.

Nice one!

Can't really tell you anything about them, except they are called Ball Park Music and the track is Fence Sitter. A product of my recent obsession with Australia. Better don't tell them the child-game-thing :D

Quite a dancy song, and I can really see why you thought of the Strokes.

He's a folk singer called Benjamin Francis Leftwich (great name). The song is called Atlas Hands, and I probably am a really bad listener because I still haven't noticed the female voice :D

(I'm not even sure if he is from Ireland, I just took a guess. but it would fit)

Exactly that Alicia Keys Song I was thinking of :D This track is actually called "On Fire" and by a band called "Loon Lake". From Australia probably, but other than that I don't know them any better. But seems like Australia has hit a never with you :)

I don't know the woman, but this track is from an Australian artist called "Flume", someone I'm obsessed with right now. And I think it's more him playing with her sampled voice than she, otherwise she would have some amazing non-human vocal capabilities ;)

I'm probably guilty of an unhealthy amount of promotion for this band (I already had them on my last mixtape) and this track is called "Worry Fill My Heart" from the Oxford guys of "Spring Offensive". They do really incredible videos, really recommend searching for them on youtube (of course ignoring all the taliban videos that inevitably come up when search for this term :D ).

Really like what they do, quite clever at times and always energetic (at least they are playing their music).

16. Punk!

You maybe mean Phoenix? It's Lets Go Surfing by the Drums, again from America. The title is just a mock of all the people using the term hipster (which I find so meaningless) and who would probably apply it to this band :D

I'm glad you enjoyed my tape! Here's my reviews in the bold below your reviews:

Hello!! Sorry this is so late, have only just really had a chance to listen to my mix tape! Also because of copyright issues on mediafire I had to find the track info then just youtube them so probably didn't get the full feel of the tape, but this is just my reaction to the songs. Thank you so much for making it, whoever you are!!!!

1) Cool intro, changes completely as it goes into the actual song! Nice tempo, good beat and really got me head bopping I have to be honest!! Kind of techno/disco feel which I quite liked as it isn’t my usual music style. Haven’t heard the band before either and really like the lead vocals. Very easy to get sucked into the beat.

Yeah, this is one of my favorite Phoenix songs. It's got a good beat and is a pretty good song for the late 90's.

2) This one sounds so retro: as one of my family commented it sounds a bit like an 80s Michael Jackson and I have to agree! It’s nice though as I haven’t heard a style like this for a while. Pretty cool!!

That's the kind of feel that Neon Trees wants to go for. They don't want to be a band that gives into pop, and they want that classic 80's rock feel, but with a modern touch.

3) The intro instrument sounds kind of like a traditional South American xylophone!! Really wasn’t expecting that, but really works with the tone of the song and the rest of the instruments. Nice fast pace, finding it very hard not to repeat myself but these are great songs so far! The lyrics are also really interesting if you listen to them a few times, and on the bridge in the middle with the chorus singing it sounds so cool! Very impressed with this one.

I actually just recently got into Friendly Fires last December. The CD that it's from is rather difficult to find in stores, lately.

4) Love the chilled guitar intro, sounds sort of right and wrong at the same time with the weird key!! Reminded me a bit of a band I’m really into at the moment called Yellowcard (check them out) and a bit of 30 seconds to Mars. I like the way that the backing is pretty simple: just drums and a couple of light guitars but it really works. Builds up a ot to a pretty awesome guitar solo near the end though. Me likey.

Me likey too, and Incubus is from the same genre of music as Yellowcard and 30 Seconds to Mars. They are a hardcore alternative band. But, they are really good.

5) I actually have the album that this is from, however it’s not one of the ones I know best from it so was really interested to see this one. Lovely guitar chords, sort of melancholy mood but manages to escape being depressing. Also the lyrics are so lovely. God I’d forgotten how much I like this song. The chorus is haunting: really, properly emotional. Acts as a really nice slow piece in the tape. Greatly enjoyed.

Yeah, M83 is great! That album is their best album to date! They are also scoring Tom Cruise's new movie, Oblivion. That should be cool!

6) For some reason made me think of Africa which is a good thing: was out there last summer so brought back memories!! Again I know quite a few one republic songs but not this one so I was pleased to see this. The blend of synths and techno in the chorus with the basic drums and guitar sounds amazing, and I love how the song keeps building from relatively calm at the beginning to a proper rousing chorus at the end!! I guess this is a relatively new release because I really haven’t heard of it before but I’m going to go and buy the album now!!

Yeah, I wanted to get the album today too, but I don't have much money for it right now. :( Maybe next week or this weekend, if its still on sale. The album is amazing, and probably should be one of the top albums of the year!

7) Now I’d normally say that you can’t go wrong with a bit of The Beatles, but I have to admit that this isn’t one of my favourites. Sorry, but it’s the truth.

Yeah, I'm not either, but I just thought it would tie good together with the mixtape.

8) Heard of this before but have never actually heard it. Didn’t really click with me for some reason: the guitar I found a little samey and couldn’t really relate to it somehow. I played it to a friend who loved it though so I guess that’s just me!!

Yeah, this is the only DMB song I like. It's not country. It's a great 90's song.

9) Well this one is different!! I like deadmau5 though, and am pretty sure I’ve heard it before though I’m not sure. I think it’s nice that it has no vocals; you can just kind of get lost in the piano and beat. I enjoyed this but not sure why exactly!!

That one is very good, cuz its slower than his other songs and its different. I like that on Album Title Goes Here he tried do make different types of songs.

10) Ok so during the intro I wasn’t sure whether I was in a choral concert or listening to the soundtrack to a video game, but as the bassline started coming in it started getting interesting. Wouldn’t normally think of this as my kind of song but I quite liked it actually: weirdly enough my favourite bit was the bit of synth-stuff between a couple of the verses!!!

Yeah, this is my fav Foster the People song to date. I love how it starts out like a chorus, then builds into an alternative song.

11) Felt like a mixture of the beach boys and a Japanese cartoon theme tune!! Despite the name it’s a proper feel good song, I can imagine it being good to work out to: I might try tomorrow (or I could sit at home and listen to it again…..hard choice). Wouldn’t say it’s my favourite of the tape but still cool!!

This is the only Flaming Lips song I know, and its a pretty good song, since most of their other stuff sounds kind of dark.

12) This one’s a proper dance tune: got to love a bit of Calvin Harris! What else can I say apart from this really gets you up and moving.

Yeah, it's a favorite of mine. I love that it isn't your typical dance song.

13) This is right up my street. Really enjoyable backing: simple but works well with the tune. Also really like this guy’s voice so will be listening to more of him. Like the lyrics too: really enjoyed this one!!

Yeah, John Mayer is really good. His songs are great, no matter how many times you hear them.

14) Lovely lovely Maroon 5- can always rely on them to make a chilled song completely and utterly engaging and amazing. I know this song pretty well so I can’t really comment on it other than to say that I love it!

this is my favorite song from Overexposed. It's got a similar sound to their first album, and its not entirely poppy, like the rest of their album.

15) Ok so aside from Lenny Kravitz being one of the coolest people ever to exist, this is an awesome song!! Such a catchy guitar entry, love his voice it’s so raw and powerful!! Brilliant showman and musician makes a brilliant song. Not much else to say!!

He definitely is a pretty sick performer! All of his stuff is great!

16) The intro makes me think of a back alley in Brooklyn somewhere, maybe a dingy bar: really atmospheric. I’ll be honest daft punk isn’t my favourite: it’s fine as background noise but I don’t think I’d go out of my way to listen to it. Still quite a cool song though. I like the backing track.

Yeah, I just thought that it would flow good with the mixtape. It's not one of their best.

17) And how could you end a coldplay forum mix tape without….coldplay. UFO is one of my personal favourites (well I say that, I have far too many for it to be properly meaningful) but I think it’s one of their most underrated songs. It’s so raw and emotional, I love the way you can feel the squeaking of the guitar strings as he changes notes. I always play this one to my friends who don’t know coldplay that well because I think if you only ever hear the mainstream ones like ETIAW, Paradise, Viva etc (don’t get me wrong I love them) you don’t fully realise how amazing the band is.

So true! It's my favorite song too! It definitely is overestimated and looked past. I love the acoustic sound of it, with that great MX colorful feel to it.

Phoenix- If I ever feel better

Neon Trees- Weekend

Friendly Fires- Pull me back to earth

Incubus- adolescents

M83- Wait

OneRepublic- What you wanted

The Beatles- Something

Dave Matthews Band- Crash Into me

Deadmaus- Sleepless

Foster the people- Warrant

The Flaming Lips- Sun blows up today

Calvin Harris- Thinking about you

John Mayer- Heartbreak Warfare

Maroon 5- Beautiful goodbye

Lenny Kravitz- Where are we runnin?

Daft Punk- Something about us

Coldplay- UFO

I'm glad you enjoyed it! For a while, I thought people wouldn't like it. I was wrong! Thanks for listening to it, and sorry about the link trouble.

Pity that the tracklisting is missing. Would it help if I reupload it and that you can have a listen to it? I can also google lyrics, that would probably help me out with most songs, like Red Eye Miami. That one wasn't hard to find out. But the Japanese songs .... no idea. You must know which Japanese girls you put up there, right? Probably your avatar?

Oh, if you made it the previous round, then it's pretty funny it suited me well as well! You don't hear me complaining about it :D

Random, but oh weird that some of the songs I added to the mixtape, also turned out to be chosen by others for theirs. Can't say more, because it would spoil which tape I made :\ (if that isn't obvious this time anyway, I think it is) randomnessss oh and I like the CREEPY GERMAN band as well, but didn't that one :P

[edit] random banner popped up on the forum with azian girls, if I want to date some .... awkward

Alright time for my review, my mixtape is called Human Panic: Mixtape- When I Was A Skykid. Definitely an interesting and cool title right there.

1. It starts off with a really nice layered piano. Very haunting and creepy which I don't mind. It gets more dreamier and darker. A woman's voice is singing. She sounds kind of foreign. She's talking about a very creepy clown who has mysteriously come to her city and she and others are planning to kill him. . I actually really like her voice. The chorus is very interesting "Kill that clown he's so unfairr" Oh coulrophobia  There's a bit of synths in it too. Is this off of a concept album? Very nice song, totally love stuff like this.

2. Okay I'm absolutely in love with the intro, it's these violins and they sound so nostalgic and dreamy and just  And then these guitars and drums break in. And this really folky song enters and a man starts singing, he sounds really young and slightly familiar. The chorus is really booming and exciting and just makes you wanna join in and sing. And then the guitars come together and it's really quite pretty. Really addictive chorus too. The violins are just so pretty. And then the majestic chorus :awesome: Absolutely adored this. Thank you so much. :dazzled:

3. Ok this song sounded really old and rocky which is great cause I was really into classical rock in elementary school. The guitars are really upbeat and groovy ahaha. The man's voice is really raspy but really cool. The guitars get really pschedelic. He's singing about how this girl found rock n' roll. The chorus is really fun "Despite all the amputation you could just go out and listen to that rock n' roll station. Oh yeah actually there's a skip in the song  Oh the guitar solos are just great really. It's just a fun song about listening to rock and roll. :wacky: . Definitely something to get your feet stepping. :D How many times did I write "really"? But yeah groovy song :flower:

4. Ah this song. It starts instantly with heavy drumming and then some guitars, so far this has been a relatively guitar heavy mixtape. Not like that’s a bad thing though The bass kicks in and it becomes sort of Muse like? For lack of a better word. Well synth-y The man starts singing followed by a bombastic HEY! His voice is rather rugged but not bad. He sounds kind of familiar. There’s a lot of synths in this actually. The drumming is really upbeat and the guitars are really catchy. The claps are a nice addition. And the outro is pretty awesome as well :awesome: I like it a lot!

5. Alright this is interesting, it’s a rather rugged and country sounding with old timey guitars and whistling. But also rock as well. The singer’s voice is very southern sounding and hardy. He’s talking about Tennessee and other places and people. I was kind of mehh about this song but I think it’s grown on me actually. There’s a few people singing ohh’s in the background and saying conclusive over and over. These lyrics are definitely interesting.

6. This song starts off with the strumming of an acoustic guitar. A man starts singing, he has sort of a storytelling kind of voice actually. An accordion I think starts playing and it’s really dreamy sounding. And he is singing about a story about a mother, a father, himself, and someone else. It’s an interesting story. Definitely a not bad song to listen to. The accordians fade and the guitars stop playing. Ah well shit actually, iTunes just spoiled the song information wow that was not cool. I’m going to try to get over it..

7. iTunes has also informed me that 6 and 7 are two different songs. :disappointed: But yeah it’s a continuation of 6 so the accordion fades and an electric guitar plays. It’s rather distorted and then the man starts saying that he loves Jesus Christ a lot. At first I was like “Hahahahaha that turned odd.” Things get faster and he sings faster. The music gets even more distorted and kind of MGMT ish actually. Pretty awesome. Cool transition into this song, interesting lyrics and a cool distorted sound.

8. Ok so this is a really cool song, I’ve never heard anything like this. It’s a very folky song with distorted synths. It’s very sunny sounding and happy. And these lyrics are awesome, the guy is singing how he got a tail suddenly. Really creative and rhyme-y. I can tell he has an accent pretty easily; his voice is rather smooth. This is a really catchy song with such an imagination. I like. :D

9. This song starts off with a dark piano and some rough sounding vocals, it’s not English. Kinda sounds like Russian actually. I mentioned that I wouldn’t mind a song in another language so this was nice, thanks. The vocals are actually a booming chorus. After the singing there’s a nice dreamy bit as well. It sounds like they’re singing of struggle and pain. I would love to see the English lyrics to this. Definitely love how bombastic and rebellious this sounds And wow iTunes clearly doesn’t like it when I want to play this song, it keeps skipping halfway through, when I listen to it on my iPod there’s a bunch of skips. It’s a shame too cause I really love this one. I’ll just go on the next song.

10.This song starts of with a man’s voice, he sounds kind of robotic and sad. There’s a distorted electronic beat in the background. It’s really haunting. He sings how sad he is that his “sweet darkling” has to live a life so unfair and that your life is a lie. He gives off the impression that he has no emotion really, which makes the song more compelling and brilliant. The electronic beat fades and the song ends. It’s a short song but really nice.

11. This song has a sweet acoustic guitar strumming as the intro. A woman starts singing with a sweet voice. A man with a raspy voice joins her. They sing together and it’s nice and melodic. The guitars and drums get really heavy for a moment and intense. It starts sounds more electric and intense and the chorus is really booming. The lyrics also become intense “Carry me away I hope that you don’t break” Now it’s just the man singing. It’s really nice actually. Definitely love the transition from sweet and melodious to intense and brave. I’d like to know who this is actually; it sounds like what some of my friends would listen to. Kind of sounds like Muse.

12. Has a really slow but calming electric guitar as the intro. A woman sings in a high pitch, she sounds really reassuring and motherly. The drums kick in and it just gets even better. She sings “I’m afraid you’ve stopped to lick your wounds dear do you know?” over and in a high pitch. Synths kick in and gives the song an upbeat feel. I really like this song and I’m curious who this is. The lyrics are chockfull of advice and this song is just meant to make you feel good about yourself. The song is pretty and adorned with the high pitched singing.

13. This is an instrumental. It’s really calm and relaxing. There’s some guitar and some synths I think mixed together. It’s very dreamy and soothing. It gives this feeling of reaching somewhere new. There are some slow piano chords being played I think. It’s very pretty. The piano picks up and gets faster and dramatically changes the mood. It’s like when the hero and heroine are racing towards each other xD It’s cheesy I know XDD

14.OH THIS MAN IS BEAUTIFUL MY GOD WHO IS THIS ANGEL. :dazzled: :bigcry: This right here is a lovely song with pianos and a cute little clicking instrument that reminds me of the sea and of Professor Layton ok. The man’s voice is really quite beautiful. It’s kind of at a falsetto at times. It’s a really cute love song~~ I would love to know who this is.

15. This is a nice soothing folk song. It’s a great way to end the mixtape. The man’s voice is really slow and calming. So dreamy~~~ This is probably a good song to fall asleep to haha.

Thank you so much for making such a great mixtape. This was everything I wanted. I will definitely check out some of the artists. This was also my first mixtape I had received and it was great :awesome: You did a great job

Review (Reprise)

I seem to spam this thread endlessly with overlong reviews or comments :D

Besides making two mix tapes, I also agreed to receive a second mixtape because it seems they never heard back from the person this was originally intended for.

But I know how many time one can spend in choosing tracks and order for such a tape, so it'd be a shame to not recognize and acknowledge the efforts of the maker. So sorry for not being the "right" person for a review, but I hope that my review is at least better than no review at all. :)

Track 1: Starting with an older rock-track, I'd guess 80s given the way the drums are recorded. Perfectly unexpected and also unknown, as, me being not around at that time, I have absolutely no idea who this singer might be. It's otherwise a nice, upbeat rock song, making the introduction to this mixtape nice and happy. It's just the sound that I have to get used to a bit, but thats ok.

Track 2: Quite funky! Like it! Seems like funk-influenced music tends to fall short in these exchanges, have to remember that for next time. The track seems to be called "1984" and has some strings in the chorus while the verse is full of 16th-funk-disco-drums, wah-guitars and something resembling a clavinet. A really nice surprise, full of energy and motivation for spontaneous, embarrassing dance moves in your (hopefully concealed) room :D

Track 3: Here I've got the strange feeling of knowing this voice? It's a male singer, accompanied by a piano and some female background vocals, later joined by some gentle drums . He has not the typical type of masculine voice a man might have, but he still expresses emotions through this and it's not unpleasant to listen to. Could probably qualify as a soft ballad, but it's better than what you would expect regarding this term :D

Track 4: A nice and gentle instrumental piano track, quite short, but transporting the mood from Nr. 3 to Nr. 5

Track 5: This one is more for the bright and big side of music. Many synths in the chorus, lush production, massive drums/percussion underlining this track. Certainly different from the others, but not worse. Still I prefer the more unique tracks preceding this one.

Track 6: Piano again (don't mind :D ), and I must say I'm sorry but can't decide if the singer is male or female. A quite interesting song, as the piano is accompanied by an electric guitar which manages to avoid the typical clichés you'd expect in such a song and instead creates beautiful and unique melody lines. Really like this one, even if it's more for the musicianship than the voice ;)

Track 7: Michael Kiwanuka (I never learned to spell his name :D ) probably? His distinct retro soul mixed with his unique voice. I normally don't listen to him that much, but in the context of the mixtape and all the other songs surrounding this one, I actually like him. Quite short also, with just 2:34 minutes running length.

Track 8: A short song, with 1:40 minutes just between song and interlude, featuring a female voice, acoustic strummed guitar and some percussion. Nice, but because of the length not so memorable.

Track 9: Final proof you have great music taste. Frank Ocean and "Lost" :)

I don't mind knowing this track in advance because it's just awesome and always reminds me of his even better record. Great pick!

Track 10: "Throwing my arms around" is the often repeated line of the chorus, together with a guitar riff dominating the track. I'm half torn between like and dislike, but with time I think will settle on the former. Takes a bit off time though to get used to his voice.

Track 11: Really shaking things up here. I won't go around throwing names of genres (because I'm absolutely shit at that :D ) but that is one is really interesting. Female vocals, neither sung nor rapped, something in between, with a hectic (but good) electronic beat and some recurring brass themes, digitally altered. Really interesting, looking forward to finding out who that artist is.

Track 12: A rock track featuring additional electronics. Probably a bit older so it's a bit of my prejudice going in there but being objective it's a good song, going back to guitars after the electronics. Nice track, just for me personally it's not perfect, but that is to be neglected because this whole mixtape was made for someone else and I think he would have liked it more than me :)

Track 13: A bit of American country I'd guess, nice change. Acoustic guitar of course, accompanied by drums, tambourine and some occasional organ melodies, in itself accompanying a male voice, sometimes joined by harmonies. Pretty nice differentiation from the tracks before.

Track 14: This one picks up the mood from before a bit, although with electric guitar and a more easily likable voice and some "rumbly" drums. Some harmonies in the chorus, really like this one :)

Track 15: Another one of these interesting male voices I can't describe accompanied by something that has keys (whatever it is :D ) and, surprise!, a brass section in the chorus. Again something I didn't expect, but which I really like. It's also writen in 6/8, so you could attempt a waltz to it. A bit like Mumford and Sons without so much radio friendliness, another great track! Really looking forward to finding out the band/singer behind this one!

Track 16: More quiet than the track before, this one has simple drums and features mainly a man, accompanied by again lovely guitar playing. A organ blends nicely into the background of the song, making this more relaxing without boring the listener. And another great track I'm curious about :)

Track 17: This one also seems older, but I like it! Some "groovy drums", nice chords and some female vocals for a change contribute to an interesting continuation after the tracks before (if I keep saying that, it's just because this mixtape has a great flow!).

Track 18: Hip-Hop! Now I'm seriously confused about your age, mixtape maker. From possibly 80s to really contemporary hip-hop the breadth of genres covered is quite cool. Really like this, can't place, but sounds a bit familiar to Azealia Banks or some of her fellow upcoming artists.

Track 19: Can't say why, but this chap reminds me a bit of Alex Turner, himself fronting the Arctic Monkeys. A bit slower, with guitar and nice little synths in the background, but a really nice song. Instant like :)

Track 20: I need a dictionary, full of suggestions of how to describe songs and your fondness of them. I feel so stupid using all these phrases again and again, but, what can I do? *sigh* …. A nice guitar, some organ pads in the background, folky but upbeat, not really happy, but maybe content would be best how I feel the atmosphere of the song. *sigh* Like it :)

Track 21: A really happy song with mentions of "sunny days" closes this tape on a really sunny note. Perfect to describe my feeling after listening and reviewing your tape.

When I was asked if I could review another mixtape, I said yes because I had enough time available in the holidays, but of course I was unsure of how well this would work, seeing that you of course had somehow completely different from me in mind when making the choices for this tape.

I was therefore really surprised and happy that it still "clicked" with most of the songs and it was still fun the second time to listen and review a lot of new music.

Except for some of the older songs, which is just a weird dislike I carry towards such tracks in general and you should just ignore because that's my own view, I think you did a great job at this mitxtape.

A bunch of little surprises, from brass sections and waltzes to funky wah-guitars, I'm glad I said yes when asked about reviewing this tape :)

Very nice song, totally love stuff like this.

Ohhh I smell some carrot flowers in the tracks 6 and 7 :awesome:

First of all nice artwork :awesome:

LP6_zps4e29e67e.jpg

It is labelled as LP6 by Coldplay. There's insects and a lady with long flowing blond hair with a boob out and a red rabbit and a lighthouse, it seems that the track names reflect on the artwork so I’m guessing it was intentional to have the track names there and props to the maker for being all creative and thinking up this whole concept.

Okay so here goes my attempt at a review, Ahem...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

1. A Dedication To Life: Opens with what sounds like tapdancing, a guitar is introduced and some angelic aah sounds. The beat then becomes really fast (Michael flatly style). Nice mixture of guitars and drums, it seems to fade in fast and slow. Nice little opener

2. Feel The Moon: opens with some piano, a really gentle voice it “feel the moon pull you up to the sky”, a really nice mellow chilled out song, though it's only a minute and a half. <3

3. Long Night: Loud drumming intro, with some building electronic synthy sound and electric guitar, I like this it sounds really cool. There a kind of lul in the middle and more synthy sounds it’s a nice dancy song and I found myself tapping along to it.

4. You Know: opens with a guitar and piano sounds, I like the voice, I feel like I have heard it before but I’m not sure where. I really like the layers to this song and the mix of acoustic guitar. There’s some whistling and this song makes me want to dance . Okay I really love this <3

5. Cicada: Opens with some plinky plonk piano. I’m a sucker for cute piano melodies. There’s some gentle acoustic guitar and a voice which sounds very much like Jonas Bjerre of Mew. I am a fan of mew though I’ve only heard two albums. This song is nice and soothing.

6. Somewhere there’s a lighthouse: Cool synths kinda fading in and out. And a nice voice which sounds similar to that of song 2. I love the chorus to this and the layers to this is like a disco on my ears w00. love this I can’t wait to know who it is.<333

7. Flashing Red Rabbits Oh No!: Cute little opening that sounds like a tap dripping and it reminds me of animal crossing music (which I love.) and the voice of James Mercer. I haven’t heard this before though. There’s some acoustic guitar and I’m not sure if that’s a violin. Then the tempo changes down, there’s a cool little beat and this is a real interesting song the second half seems really different to the second later on there’s some piano and it fades out a little. Then there’s a sudden drum beat and some acoustic guitar with a different singer (I'm guessing it's a different song.) They fade into one another really well and the song builds up with a kindof indie vibe. I like this whole song/songs idek but <33

8 One For The Nightfall: starts off quiet with a little piano then this drum machine thing kicks and guitar and it sounds pretty funky. It reminds me of U2 in places. I like this song. About 5 minutes in the sound changes, there’s some piano and what sounds again like Jonas Bjerre. Suddenly there’s some drums which scare the crap out of me because I had it really loud in my ears. then there’s some synth’s building in. It gives me some almost psychedelic vibes. and I quite like this <3

9. Coming Down For you: Some drumming and clip-cloppy sounds and then some guitar. This sounds like Foals. It’s a chilled out song with some nice layering of piano as well in there. It could be from Holy Fire I have only listened to that twice as of yet with all the excitement of other stuff, but I think I’ll listen to a bit more now <33

10. We Sit and We Sigh: Ooh nice ambient intro and then there’s a drum machine or something and guitar building. Repetition of “nicotine and bacteria”. There’s silence for several minutes and then there’s some gentle piano and what sounds a little like wind chimes. It reminds me of Madame DePompadeur from the doctor who soundtrack. Really nice ending to the tape it’s making me feel sleepy. <3

Favourites have to be tracks 2,4,6,7,10

Okay well the whole tape was super amazing, I shall be listening to it more I just wanted to give you a review before I go away for two weeks without any internet connection.

... and I think I can guess my maker

Here's my comments below your review in bold.

Yes, she is foreign! Her name is Sóley from Seabear and this is a song from her solo album. I don't know if it's a concept album but her music is pretty majestic, I recommend her.

:dazzled:

This band is actually pretty new; they are Look Mexico and this song was something I had to pick for the mixtape, especially since it's one of the only songs I listen to by them

THIS IS THE GREATEST BAND EVER!!! Ahaha, this is the legendary The Velvet Underground and this is the third song from their last album. You're right it is old, (between 70's and 80's really). I'm glad you liked them cause I absolutely adore them :awesome:

This is a very new band and this was a very nice song I loved, expecially since it's like a song you'd listen to at the beach XD. This band is Shark? (yes, the question mark is supposed to be there; you pronounce it as if you were confused). Check them out, you will not be disappointed :D.

This is Adam Ant's new album released this year and Adam Ant was a famous famous singer from the 80's. He changed his style completely for his new album so I couldn't decide whether to show his new or old style. Glad you loved his new style :)

Oh THIS SONG. This is Neutral Milk Hotel's greatest album and most meme destroyed one too (if you know what I mean). This song is very very random so yes it's about a mom and dad and jesus christ.... I loved the song and I wanted to share this one with the continuation.

7. iTunes has also informed me that 6 and 7 are two different songs.

I like. :D

Because I'm a furry, this is really a furry-related song from an album that is nowhere available now. He is Kurrel the Raven, now dead (his name, not the person). He is Australian, so it's great that you sort of caught that :P.

I noticed the skippings myself and i am sorry to have not tried sending a better quality of the song. This is the band Republika and they are Polish, so sorry they aren't Russian XD. I don't know what the song talks about other than that the title of the song (Moja Krew) translates to My Blood.

This man, OH THIS MAN. He's very brilliant with his genre and he is The Horrorist (best artist name EVER!). I wanted to include this song because it's the most "bearable" unlike most of his music. You'd have to check him out to understand but his music is almost repellent yet it draws you in, no matter how you want to hate it. PLEASE, I suggest you to try your hardest not to dis him the first time. It takes awhile to appreciate his music.

This is another Australian band named the Sick Puppies. This song is the sweetest of their songs, and if you notice they are an alternative metal band. Songs of pain tragedy and all that. I was deciding against this song and placing "Howard's Tale" but I had no other song to be able to continue the mixtape after but listen to that song just as a recommendation.

A woman?!?! :inquisitive: Oh no no no... he's a man XD. He's the singer from Copeland and I forgive your mistake (though my heart ripped in two somewhere). This is my FAVORITE of the mixtape and my most played song, I couldn't bare not having this in the mixtape.

This was a song I didn't know how to fit in here and I feel happy you like it. This is Startle the Heavens and I wanted to see if you liked the calm of the storm. His music bases from nature if you check him out.

This angel is the man you called a "woman" from the 12th song. Copeland again, second favorite from Coldplay so I had to add him twice to reinforce how wonderful their music is plus they are Indie rock. This song is one of many that has made me break a tear and speaks to my heart a lot (no matter how cheesy that sounds). If you broke a tear with THIS song just you wait till you check their cover "You Are My Sunshine"! It's really a tearjerker AND the song I will play at my long distant funeral in the future.

15. This is a nice soothing folk song. It’s a great way to end the mixtape. The man’s voice is really slow and calming. So dreamy~~~ This is probably a good song to fall asleep to haha.

Oh, Ray LaMontagne, how truely soothing his music is. Yes, it's a song to sleep by and I knew I had to have him in my mixtape.

Thank you so much for making such a great mixtape. This was everything I wanted. I will definitely check out some of the artists. This was also my first mixtape I had received and it was great :awesome: You did a great job

Hi Marie :awesome:

I don't think I've ever talked with you on this board before... So, nice to meet you, I'm Fran :nice:

Haha I'm glad that you had fun reading my review

You tried, and you successfully completed my challenge. I really did enjoy your mixtape. And um, I never said that I didn't like the acoustic guitar. I just didn't really like the track 4, but now after reading what the lyrics are about, I must say that I find it really cool. Aaand, I said that I liked the voice of the man in the track 5! (Anis) :P No need to be sorry about creepy German men scaring me, they didn't really scare me, it was just me overreacting a bit in my review. And trying to make it funnier. :p

I'm going to find out more about some of those artists. I'm especially happy that the track 7 is by The Divine Comedy. He was on my must-listen-to list. Not only because I've read good words on him, but also because The Divine Comedy is one of my favourite books.

And The Black Keys! I've never listened to any of their albums. I only knew some of their songs, mostly singles, which I loved.

I'm really happy that I've finally heard a MCR song too. I've heard a lot of fuss about them, but never listened to any of their songs. So, thank you for that, even though I didn't really like the song.

Gnarls Barkley was on my must-listen-to list too! I love Cee-Lo's voice so I wanted to find out more about them.

And all those French artists, that's so cool! France has a great music scene, it seems to me :surprised: I'll be definetely checking them out too.

And finally, I must say that I'd never guess that the creepy German man's band is Rammstein... That means that half of my friends like the creepy German man... And maybe they like him because... He knocked on their door and hypnotised them! :o

They're quite popular here, but I've never heard their songs before :p

And, I had guts to listen to the full version of Mein Herz brennt... And it was slightly less creepier than the piano version

Once again, thank you for the tape :D

Here's my comments below your review in bold.

I'm impressed that I'm not the only one who likes Neutral Milk Hotel on this board :awesome:

This is by The Stone Roses, personally I wouldn't call it an old rock track being from 1989.

A really nice surprise, full of energy and motivation for spontaneous, embarrassing dance moves in your (hopefully concealed) room :D It has to one of Bowie's funkiest songs and that's why I love it, it was originally written for a film based on 1984 by George Orwell but it got scrapped and Bowie put this on Diamond Dogs instead.

This is by King Creosote & Jon Hopkins, I got into them after my last mixtape exchange introduced them to me. I love his voice with his strong scottish accent, though I'm aware that some people really hate this accent for some reason.

Track 4: A nice and gentle instrumental piano track, quite short, but transporting the mood from Nr. 3 to Nr. 5

It's from the beautiful Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind soundtrack and I just like to add in a few short instrumentals, especially seen as my tape covers several genres.

Track 5: This one is more for the bright and big side of music. Many synths in the chorus, lush production, massive drums/percussion underlining this track. Certainly different from the others, but not worse. Still I prefer the more unique tracks preceding this one.

This song has grown on me so much recently, It is by Choir Of Young Believers.

This is by one of my favourite groups; Beach House. The singer is female btw and it's from their debut album which I believe is incredibly underrated, and well this song is incredible to me.

Yep it's Michael Kiwanuka, I find this song to be really sweet and it makes me feel all warm inside

Track 8: A short song, with 1:40 minutes just between song and interlude, featuring a female voice, acoustic strummed guitar and some percussion. Nice, but because of the length not so memorable.

It's by Blackbird Blackbird, again I wanted a short instrumental to skip genres and I really like this song. This is from Halo though Summer Heart is a great album which may be more memorable.

Track 9: Final proof you have great music taste. Frank Ocean and "Lost" :)

I don't mind knowing this track in advance because it's just awesome and always reminds me of his even better record. Great pick!

Originally my partner didn't seem to have listened to Frank Ocean so I put this on here plus the fact I am in love with his music

Track 10: "Throwing my arms around" is the often repeated line of the chorus, together with a guitar riff dominating the track. I'm half torn between like and dislike, but with time I think will settle on the former. Takes a bit off time though to get used to his voice.

This is called I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris I kinda knew this might be a risk but I wanted an album track I love, It's by Morrissey, my mum's true love.

This is XR2 by M.I.A, yep it is pretty hectic and one I like to try dance to and fail at.

Ok again, this was a bit of a risk, but I have been addicted to this for months, to quote some random person "it's like Bowie meets super mario" and it is and yeah . It's another one from Bowie, I wanted to add something that he's not usually known for; which is electronic stuff like this.

Track 13: A bit of American country I'd guess, nice change. Acoustic guitar of course, accompanied by drums, tambourine and some occasional organ melodies, in itself accompanying a male voice, sometimes joined by harmonies. Pretty nice differentiation from the tracks before.

Well it's British and more folk than anything, It's by The Beatles and it's from Rubber Soul. I find this song to be all sassy and probably a brilliant break up song.

Track 14: This one picks up the mood from before a bit, although with electric guitar and a more easily likable voice and some "rumbly" drums. Some harmonies in the chorus, really like this one :)

This is by Frightened Rabbit, another band I discovered from these mixtape exchanges, it's from their most recent album, so yeah quite a year range between the last song.

Probably my favourite track by Beirut, I'm glad you liked it, I love that there's so much stuff going on this one song, I have probably attempted a slow waltz to it.

Track 16: More quiet than the track before, this one has simple drums and features mainly a man, accompanied by again lovely guitar playing. A organ blends nicely into the background of the song, making this more relaxing without boring the listener. And another great track I'm curious about :)

I wasn't sure whether you would like this one as it's kind of a storytelling song, a lot of people seem to be put off by them. They are Belle & Sebastian

Track 17: This one also seems older, but I like it! Some "groovy drums", nice chords and some female vocals for a change contribute to an interesting continuation after the tracks before (if I keep saying that, it's just because this mixtape has a great flow!).

haha well actually this is probably the most recent song on here, it's by this group called HAERTS, as of yet I believe this is their first song but I just really liked it

Okay well this was definitely my riskiest song on here...

I am glad you liked it! It's by Nicki Minaj, however it's from one of her earlier mixtapes and I really love this I think she sounds great when she raps more like in this song.

Track 19: Can't say why, but this chap reminds me a bit of Alex Turner, himself fronting the Arctic Monkeys. A bit slower, with guitar and nice little synths in the background, but a really nice song. Instant like :)

Correct, this is Alex Turner and it's from the Submarine soundtrack.

I guess this song is a grower, anyway it's by The Coral and it's one of my favourites by them.

Track 21: A really happy song with mentions of "sunny days" closes this tape on a really sunny note. Perfect to describe my feeling after listening and reviewing your tape.

Erm well it is a fairly happy song given that it's called "Cemetry Gates"

and again written by Morrissey it probably is one of his happiest songs by him.

Thank you Cyan Kat for that mixtape, although I think I couldn't have failed more at recognizing the artists.

I've heard of of all of the artists before (except 4, 5, 20) and listened to Beach House before and even put something from the collaboration of King Creosote & Jon Hopins on my last mixtape :D

And well, the Beatles and american-country....

I guess I need to do some serious catch-up concerning both "indie" things and classic things :D

AND HERE ARE SONGS THAT I SADLY REJECTED FOR THE MIXTAPE:

"Stinkfist" Tool (Ænima)

"Howard's Tale" Sick Puppies (Dressed Up as Life)

"Panic" Caravan Palace (Panic)

"You Are My Sunshine" Copeland (The Grey Man EP)

"Little Girls" Oingo Boingo (Only a Lad)

"Sweet Jane" The Velvet Underground (Loaded)

"Pale Sweet Healing" The Irrepressibles (Nude)

"Untitled" 36 [three-six] (Hypersona)

"Foresight" Bridges of Königsberg (The Five Colors)

Oh really? :bomb::shocked2: I swear it sounded like a woman ok. I've barely heard of most of these people. :P Ah I should say it's a good thing you didn't put Tool, it's been awhile since I've heard them and they kind of scared me xD

Well I'll get to doing all of that fixing for the tracks. And finding a better version of Moja Krew. Thanks!:awesome:
