I am curious if the real Dave Holmes will do something about the imposter who pretends to be him! I find it very strange that someone is faking his identity & contacting fans for no reason! I mean ppl pretend to be celebrities all the time on the internet, but not a band's manager! :confused:

To quote from the first post - Coldplay HQ have confirmed it 'almost definitely will not happen' < and that's the direct quote from the email. We'll all be getting a refund and in the meantime, please assume that it's been cancelled. The probability of this happening appears to be extremely low. If it does happen then great but you're most likely going to be disappointed if you're holding out hope for this.

May 30, 201511 yr I think one of the reasons it won't happen is the following: Imagine Chris agrees to play this crowdfunded concert....can you imagine just how many crowdfunding campaigns for other cities/countries will sprout in the internet the day after he announces this ? That said, I still wish you all good luck - he did play on some rich person's private birthday party once for money, didn't he ? So it would actually be quite decent to respect fans' crowdfunded efforts in the same way.
May 30, 201511 yr Yes, I guess we all understand that it is *almost* impossible, however, there is still this *almost* we can hold on to, until it is definitely cancelled :-) I agree that it would probably start a huge flood of crowdfunding requests, but who knows...

I've changed my original reply. I said you can try but what is the plan exactly? Coldplay HQ know of this already and they make the decision so there's not much that can be done other than waiting for the promoters to get back to Gerben. I would ask for this not to be promoted at all because its almost certain it's just going to waste fan's time, when they'll probably get a refund back anyway. If it does happen, there will be plenty of time to buy the 400 tickets on offer, if its only posted on the forum at first.

My advice would be to be honest and transparent with it, making them aware of the likelihood of this happening, if you are not already.

If I cant promote it here, which I won't anymore, then there's not really a point in have these threads. If there is any concrete news, a straight yes or no, we can always add a thread about that.

July 23, 201511 yr Only 2 days left. After the last day will on demand then immediately start the procedure of giving people their money back or will they extend if there still is a possibility? I'm pretty sure CM would be up for this, I think he loves the idea of a fan starting this. Just think the Coldplay-team is afraid for the reaction from fans in other country's. Another problem could be that he's very busy with his new Global Citizen 'job'. On the other hand, how much effort is it to just come to Amsterdam when he's in the UK every few weeks anyway. He could leave from UK and be back on the same day.
