Attention - Those who bought tickets for proposed Amsterdam show

It has just been extended with two months.

For any other questions, I'm told I can't say anything, so sorry about that.

Well, I guess that's better news than if it was closed tomorrow. :-)

Hope never dies!

Thanks!

I think you maybe need to promote it more to get more fans to buy tickets. Posting a link to it on the Coldplaying Twitter account or on the ColdplayAtlas one maybe? It's worth looking into. :) It got linked on 3FM, which is amazing, but it's been stuck at 192/3 atm. :o

Anyway, extending it to 2 months sounds very hopeful! :D Congrats Gerben and hopefully we'll get there.

Sparky doesn't want to promote it and neither does he want me to do so on Coldplaying.

And promoting it isn't a priority, getting Chris on board is. If we get a yes from him, tickets will sell like hotcakes.

Nevertheless, I'll see if I can do anything in the next weeks, you guys are always free to share it :)

Cool! must be some kind of reason for them to extend it :smug:

Keep the hope alive :cool::D

  • 2 months later...

The extension finished today.

Gerben, any idea about how this is going to proceed?

Time to get my cash back? :I

There's a meeting Tuesday. Decisions will be made and I'll get back to you guys as soon as I know what will happen.

Everyone who bought a ticket will get a mail this week.

It's Friday and still no e-mail...

*twiddles bat thumbs*

It's Friday and still no e-mail...

*Still waiting... still waiting*

I didn't receive any email.

It is still on the Live On Demand site though, with 0 days to go.

Btw, I did get an email from them a few days ago, but that was about a job vacancy or something like that. Already deleted it.

Just to say that they do have my email address. :-D

Although I had to keep shut until they would send the mail, for me too this is taking too long. So, don't shoot the messenger.

Live On Demand has decided to focus entirely on speaking events and to cancel all music events, including the Chris Martin event. They did this because the success rate of music crowdfunds was simply too low. Since they're kind of changing their whole company structure, I don't blame them for being a bit late with the mails. I can imagine it's a hell of a lot of work to change everything and mail and refund everybody.

Leading to, for most of you probably, the main point: yes you will all be getting your money back, as promised. Please don't forget that I was/am just the pitcher of the idea for the crowding and if you have any trouble with this then Live On Demand is the one you should be contacting, not me.

All in all, it's been a bumpy ride. There were the elating highs (media attention, a mail from management, having hope and daydreaming about it all happening) and of course also the frustrating lows (the realization that the mail was fake, all the waiting...). Unfortunately it seems that the band might seem very close to us but nevertheless are out of reach (at least in this situation).

Lastly, I'd like to thank al of you. You amazing, astounding Coldplayers... You gave me hope in darker times and your perseverance was admirable. I'd also like to thank Sparky. We might have had our disagreements on some stuff and I may have silently cursed him a few times, but without him we might still be living a lie. Thank you all, and please (for the last time) have patience. All will be taken care off.

Lots of love,

Gerben

Thanks Gerben, I really appreciate it that you are giving this info.

I'll keep being patient then (getting used at that lately). :-)

Thanks Gerben! It was a great initiative but always a long shot!

(ps I already have my money back so respect for LiveOnDemand as well for taking care of things so quickly!)

Thanks for the update Gerben - shame it didn't happen, but I think we all knew it was unlikely. Thanks for your efforts though... it would've been nice.

Bit disappointed with LiveOnDemand though - haven't heard anything from them to update us on the project, nor have I gotten my money back... Bit odd if others have.

You'll get the mail (and money) soon, dont worry about that.

I've received a mail.

Tickets will be refunded, it takes about 5 working days.

And within the hour after receiving the email I've got a notification from Paypal that the refund has been made.

Thanks Live On Demand.
