Haha! :laugh3: I guess my Twitter name is a bit too obvious. Yeah, love the Pens. I've grown up with hockey, saw Gretzky in his prime and still think he's got nothing on Crosby. Malkin is awesome. Yeah I literally don't know anybody in town that admits to liking the Pens. I do indeed take many verbal beatings. But when our home team hasn't won in 40 years it's hard for fans to really do much, except talk. Kessel seems like he still has some good years left. You're in Toronto?

 

Yeah, member of Leafs nation right here. It's my second major interest besides Coldplay. Something I'll say about Kess: I believe he's a good locker room guy despite the reports otherwise. So what if he likes to keep to himself? That doesn't make him a bad guy. Another thing is how he's out of shape. Dunno if it's true, but he gained weight due to the meds he had to take from the testicular cancer he had a while back. True or not, the guy managed to be one of the fastest players in the league, let alone our team. Rarely misses a game too. You can't be those things if you're 'out of shape'. Kess will be good for you, our media just pisses on him (and everyone).

Not a big baseball fan. Too slow for me, I get bored easy. I'll root for the Phillies but don't lose sleep if they are bad. I just can't get into it. Are you a big Cardinals fan? What's it like to actually have a legitamite contender all the time?

Well, good thing you aren't a big Phillies fan this year. I like to root for them usually, but they are just...bad this year. Better them than the Pirates, though. Is there a big state rivalry for the two teams that you're aware of? Haha, I am! This season is just insane, even for the Cardinals. It's a pretty neat feeling, but I think mainly because our other teams (Blues, Rams) are generally underwhelming.

Man, I was born and raised in Texas, and even I hate the Cowboys. I guess I could be a pretty good Eagles fan, then.

Bad news. My dream of seeing Coldplay in Central Park died today. I just heard that my entire institute going on a retreat in New Hampshire, and it is exactly on this one weekend I would have needed. No way for me to be in NYC on the 26th of September :cry: :cry: :cry:

That's a tough break. My dream may be dying as well if I don't win tickets. I might just go up there and hang around and just try to hear the show without going in, like a complete homeless person. Hey you should resign from your job on that Friday, go to the show Saturday, then re-apply for your own job opening that next Monday, asking for a sign-on bonus. :P

Cool ! But honestly, I thought you have to enter for every drawing separately by completing the necesssary actions specific to that particular action journey.

My dream of the seeing the concert has officially died. I DID have a ticket reserved $200 however I got hit with a bunch of unexpected costs. Killing me. Had to release the ticket. I figure I'll save for when they come around on tour. But quite frankly, I've gotta tell you what a state I'm in....COMPLETE DEPRESSION. it has cut me in into 2 per say.

Honestly, I think you did the right thing. I would expect the actual Coldplay tour would be bigger and better than a festival slot.

Oh Spraycan Soul, I know how you feel when you look forward to something and it doesn't work out. Some weeks ago I also had to bury that dream. But it's true, saving that money for their tour is, rationally speaking the better choice - you'll get a full set and spend an evening in a sea of true Coldplay fans as opposed to hearing a tiny set while everyone is waiting for Beyonce to perform.

 

Still, don't give up. Continue doing those actions and extra giveaeays and you may still win tickets !

Well said. It's more difficult at the moment because everyone is itching to see Coldplay but once the tour happens, you should get a few opportunities and it will be a more in depth experience :D
