As in, it is peace now and life goes on and the poppies and other plants grow over the fields were blood was once shed, and the wounds slowly begin to heal. It's like giving closure to something that has happened. Oh my, writing that just brought tears into my eyes. Why am I so sensitive :-/

Good job of explaining it. And don't worry, it's okay. I'd likely be tearing up if I wrote stuff like that too, in fact I'm coming close thinking about what you wrote. It's not an easy subject to think about. I don't blame you. :) At night they would go walking, 'til the breaking of the day
