The release follows Black Francis' Shockwaves NME Awards shows

 

Pixies legend Black Francis to a release a new mini-album to follow with his forthcoming UK tour, which will include a trio of Shockwaves NME Awards shows.

 

'Svn Fngrs', out on March 3, is a seven-track record that was written, recorded and mixed in six days.

 

The tracklisting is:

Then you need to listen to more Pixies. Where is your mind is great, but there is so much more. Easily, and without question, one of the most influential alternative rock bands of all time.

Listen to Doolitle. Debaser is fucked up awesome.

Several artists name the Pixies as an influence. Kurt Cobain was a huge fan. In fact, "Smells Like Teen Spirit," the song that brought alternative music to the masses, almost wasn't released because the band was afraid that people would call it a Pixies rip off.

Surfer Rosa and Doolittle are both in my personnal top 10 of the 80s

Sometimes...but listen to their best of...(wave of mutalation). Some of their stuff is more catchy and melodic than what broke into the mainstream. That's why I'm always surprised that it wasn't the pixies who broke down the door.

BTW I meant epically messed up in a very good way.

^ haha...that's what I thought you meant. Some stuff is very experimental, and they love the distorted guitars. Plus, frank is a bit of a screamer.
