Snow Patrol Steps Into The 'Sun'

 

Snow Patrol's fifth studio album has been christened "A Hundred Million Suns" and will be released in October, according to an online post from frontman Gary Lightbody.

 

The band recently spent two months recording at Grouse Lodge in Ireland and has also logged time at Berlin's Hansa Ton Studios, where such famed albums as U2's "Achtung Baby" and David Bowie's "Low," "Lodger" and "Heroes" were tracked.

 

"A Hundred Million Suns" is the follow-up to 2006's "Eyes Open," which has sold 1.2 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

 

The group is planning a handful of small shows in Ireland in support of the album, but details have yet to announced.

it's a waste of space in the forum. If everyone started up a thread everytime a new album or something came out this would be one bogged down mess of a forum.. It just makes more sense to discuss it in the general discussion thread for snow patrol that's all. What the mods choose to do with this thread is up to them. Either leave it, merge it or close it..

Run is my my favorite song in the world. And when I hear someone else singing it besides Gary I just can listen to it. Maybe you did a good job, but I cant listen to it. Only Gary can sing that song. Dont get me wrong, I told you maybe you did a great job but I will say its just not that RUN.

If you try to do a cover of Run with full voice, it just doesn't work. What makes the song incredible is that the verses are whispered/sung. Your pitch is wavering a lot, too. Sorry if the criticisms are a little harsh, they're meant to be constructive. Try to contort your voice into being more strong and back off of it a little bit (on this song, at least).

this band is ok......i only like one song...which is called chasing cars i think....very good song!...:)
