So you like the new song. First time I heard it was a bit strange, but listening to it more and more I like it. (they are one of my two fav bands)

Hmm, sounds to me like they haven't changed one bit.

 

Shame Snow Patrols sound is so easy to get bored of.

I don't like that much their previous work to Final Straw so I think that is actually kinda boring but FS and Eyes Open are great, I won't ever get bored of such songs as Chasing Cars, Open Your Eyes, Run, I think Gary has an incredible way to put everything in a song when he trully feels it and means it. For the new song, it's not like that profound but I think it'll get better, previously their first singles were not the best, for me

not that i know muse that well, but i find the new song reminds me a bit of muse.

 

and i agree, even though i liked it on first listen, it's definitely a grower. i like it a lot more now than i did originally :dance:

As usual, I'm sure the first single is just a mediocre warm-up for the follow-up (2nd) single which should end up being a huge smash hit. (ie. 'Run' and 'Chasing Cars')

Thing is most Snow Patrol albums only have one killer song and them a lot of servicable ones.

 

At least Final Straw was a gripping release that didn't have you skipping the songs and you could listen to it in one go.

I've heard it a few times now and I'm really not feeling it at all. Is just a nothing song to me. A filler. :\

I havent listen to them in ages, but new song is out and its a grower so.

I really like the new song, it really is a hark back to the their pre-Final Straw stuff. I am currently listening to Post Punk Progression when they played live at Somerset House, this song always makes me smile :-)
