February 24, 200422 yr ..... I feel I can tell you this - I'm SCARED!! I have to play guitar and sing this really difficult song on 8th March to an audience of about 400 people, most of whom are professional musicians/involved in the music industry/just know what they're talking about/are older than me (!), and I'm having nightmares about it. I haven't done this for 30 years would you believe, and I'M SCARED SHITLESS!! But not too scared to have a go. If I can pull this off I will feel SO good. If I screw up I'll just feel normal. What have I got to lose? Wish me luck everyone! Oh, and if you want a ticket, they're £10, and everyone else on the bill is just amazing ......

February 26, 200422 yr Author Awww, thanks everyone! I've not been here for a few days - been practising in my spare minutes! To answer your questions: el_scorcho wrote: 'Wow I would be freaked out too What's this for Vic?' It's a reunion concert of a very well known folk club from the 1970s - this is a 30 year+ reunion, and all the people who used to play there are invited. A lot of them have gone on to be well known recording artists/performers/music producers etc - like Al Stewart (those of you in the States might know of him), and Jasper Carrott and Fred Wedlock. Tom Peed wrote: 'whatcha playing?' I'm playing a song called November 5th - my son wrote it and he's playing it with me. It's quite complex, more of a duet than a song, if you know what I mean. Heavy strumming and flat-picking. Not your usual 'two verses, a chorus, then a verse and a chorus' sort of thing!! It's quite out of my usual experience, that's why I'm finding it such a challenge. Thank you all SO much!! I need all the luck I can get! If it goes well, I'll post the song somewhere .... !!
February 26, 200422 yr yayyyyyy :D aww that's so sweet you doing the song your son wrote and doing a duet with him  I'm sure everyone will absolutely adore it!!! :D :P

February 27, 200422 yr Author Kasia, no kidding! If she was a boy they'd have called her 'Guy' ....... well, they might have in the UK lol! This song's a sad song though - it's about dumping someone you know is no good for you, and yet you still have feelings for them.
February 27, 200422 yr AWW you're so brave  GOOD LUCK!! Once you get out there on stage the sheer buzz will blow all the nerves away :)
