Chris Martin's Album Worry

 

Chris Martin feels ''suicidal'' when Coldplay release a new album because he panics that fans may not like their new material as much as his earlier work.

 

The 'Every Teardrop is a Waterfall' hitmaker - whose group brought out their fifth LP, 'Mylo Xyloto', this week - panics that fans may not like their new material as much as his earlier work.

 

He said: "The day our albums come out I want to kill myself. Really, I feel suicidal. "Before our albums come out I feel that we still own it, that we have control over our music.

 

"But once it's out there in the world it's no longer ours. I start to panic and think, 'What if people don't like this album? What if it's the one our biggest fans don't like?' "

 

Despite his comments, Chris is confident people will enjoy the group's latest album.

He added to the Daily Star newspaper: "I'm more excited than ever about 'Milo Xyloto' as I think it's our best work. I'm hopeful others will love it."

 

However, Chris recently joked that fans can "burn" the album if they don't like it.

He said: "I think it's one of our roundest albums, it's almost a perfect circle of a CD, it costs less than £20 and if you don't like it you can always burn it to get some warmth, so it's a three-pronged reason to buy it."

Coldplay singer Chris Martin has revealed he and his bandmates have used drugs because they are a ''pitfall'' of fame and success.

 

 

Chris Martin has experimented with "alcohol and drugs".

 

Despite being known for his healthy and clean cut lifestyle, the Coldplay frontman insists he and his bandmates have lived the rock 'n' roll lifestyle and partied hard.

 

He said: "Success and fame, alcohol and drugs. We've been through all of those things. They're just pitfalls, and that comes from a lot of travelling and a lot of down time."

 

The 34-year-old musician - who has just released the band's fifth LP 'Mylo Xyloto' - also revealed he feels blessed to be married to Gwyneth Paltrow and joked it's not bad "coming home to an Oscar winner".

 

Speaking about his relationship, Chris - who has two children, daughter Apple, seven, and five-year-old son Moses, with the actress - added: "It's not all bad. As you get older, you have kids, but there is also a lot more sadness. Our music is reflecting that."

 

When the band is on tour, the 'Paradise' singer insists he and his three bandmates - guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion - become each other's substitute family and their closeness is reflected in everything the group does.

 

During an interview on UK station Absolute Radio, he said: "We split our songwriting credits and everything we get, we split it equally. It means when one of us is having a hard time or a problem, then we all have the best interests of each other at heart."

I think it means, that the fame and glory and "Rock Star" accessibilities" in one form or another have been tested and tried over the years, they are not druggies by any means, I think all of them have tried stuff, there was an article where Chris said he tried weed, but he didn't get anything out of it:shrug:

Just thought it was an enlightening article, hope it didn't offend people who seem to think the boy's are angels:lol:

I believe it was pink in the encore.. after they went off stage and presumably changed.. :D

Well...they broke a rule in my opinion which they shouldn't had, I think. I just can't understand what the hell fame can bring to people...is as if a rule should remain as you get famous: you should use DRUGS. I don't use drug, I don't smoke and I just drink wine time to time, does it make me an alien? Would they be seen with less respect if they kept the way they were? I just wish they know what they are doing,for one thing is certain: drug is addicted the more you use the more you need it. Sighs...omg guys please take care!
